Legends of Equestria Discussion / my computer meets system requirements but the file says i need a higher version

hello all
i have a mac, version 10.13 or high sierra
when i open the file i downloaded from the downloads page (2021.06.01 update) it says it's for systems 11.0 and above. Does anyone know a way to fix this, did i download the wrong file?
just in case it's important i downloaded the x64 version. usually those work in my computer, i just checked and my computer should be 64 bit.
can anyone help? id be greatful
