I'd also like to know this... I met a few people in game who i did some random fun stuff with. I managed to add some of them as in-game "friends" but once we got separated I had no idea how to find them or re-group or anything. I assume the parties/herds feature would help with that but I couldn't find anything anywhere explaining how to use it.
