Poor Lyra heartstrings..Went to Canterlot to be a bridesmaid, and meet all sorts of royalty...ends up imprisoned, brainwashed, and then denied a the symbolic next-marriage by Rarity  *-*. Also, Cutie Mark Crusaders Flower girls are a go!  0:) ono :s

But...VILLAIN SONGS!! A SONG, AND A REPRISE! THE WIN HAS BEEN DOUBLED!

Loved the episodes! I admit the plot seemed like there were a lot of holes to be filled in, and the conclusion was definitely rushed, but see my Theory Crafting below for more on what I think was gained from this episode World-Building wise!

Quick thought; Anyone else think that Evil!Cadence's reference to an ancient group of greedy unicorns in the mines underneath Canterlot might be a reference to...Changeling History?

Think about it: Greedy unicorns, Ancient mines...the Changelines are all Vaguely unicorn-shaped and seem to use Unicorn magic in a similar way (You know, minus the Cutie-Mark thing. I guess we could just assume, that mechanics wise, it's as though every changeling had a cutiemark in Deception/Vampirism).

I'd say the changelings are distant descendents of the Greedy Unicorns who lived below Canterlot, and its been added to the "Official Puppet String's Headcannon" (If Changeling Queens are immortal like Alicorn Princesses, then that would explain how the Evil!Cadence knew about the tunnels beneath Canterlot).

Oh, anyone else now considering a Changeling Villain-OC? I know I am  ^-^

Another Gryphon character! Now we've got to see where Gryphons come from? are they from some province in equestria? How large is the population? do any live in canterlot? So many Questions!


Oh ya, there was an episode there too. pretty good, 8/10, but relative to other Pinkie episodes its a 10/10. I dont really have reasoning for these numbers, but regardless I stand by these incredibly arbitrary ratings.  ^-^

My god. First the "Fluttercry" scene from last episode, now this shocking "Big Mac Big Ultimatum"!

My heart, it just cant take this!

Ahem, Analysis time  ^-^.

First off, my head cannon has been updated; Trixie lives in ponyville, under a false name to not attract attention, making occasional appearences as the "Great and Powerful Trixie" stage persona to make ends meet. The secret the CMC uncovered was, of course, this identity.

Secondly, the Mayor dyes her hair grey...to look more authoritative, perhaps? That would mean that her actual sway in ponyville was probably always next to nothing, like it is now (Note how Twilight has a lot more say in anything that happens around town than the Mayor does).

Also, Rarity learned a bit of a lesson too, though it was kind of subtle; its easy to disregard misfortune befalling on others, until it befalls you. Rarity's lecture to sweetiebell was basically the same one Twilight gave to her, and she hadn't payed it much attention before the article about her was polished.

And with that, Puppet was off, returning to his tower to wonder why he wasnt being affected by this weird marriage curse. "Hmph...no fair, all I get is this weird fainting curse..."

That scene nearly brought me to tears DD: .

I can relate to the teasing she went through, even if my experience was more akin to most theories of Twilight's (I.E Half of it is not understanding people/social interaction, Half is Bullying because of that) but those flashbacks of hers and lasting impact was spot on.

Still...That  :'( scene...caught me completely by surprise.


Once a bunch of kids were trying to beat me up or something. One of those people who watches over everyone at recess in elementary school came over and thought someone really was being hurt. When they explained "it's just Andrew" they guy left. Luckily I got away and wasn't injured...

It didn't scar me too badly, but I still relate to characters that have gone through that.


My numerous experiences were completely verbal. Well, barring that time that a rather large girl jumped on me, but in hindsight, that incident was actually pretty funny.  ^-^

Fluttershy still hangs around at the Froggy Bog bottom (I know I misnamed that somehow ^-^)...apparently unfazed by the fact that a Hydra lives there. perhaps she had a chance to have a little chat with him (them?) or used the stare?

And, finally, some pretty epic World Building! We learned quite a bit more about how the weather cycle in ponyville works, and see that Film does indeed exist...as does propaganda  ^-^. I do love how after a while, something that probably started as a community service routine became a sort of competition; many sports started the same way, so its a feasible theory. Also, Wonderbolts aren't just stunt performers/defensive flyers; I bet they tend to take leadership roles in Cloudsdale more often, possibly in a manner similar to the Prince/Princess of the United Kingdom.

Best episode of the season, for me  ^-^


Also, Implement the event that served as the focus for this episode into Legends of Equestria....NAO ovO. Might just convince me to make characters other than unicorns  ^-^

Finally! Dragon Episode! World-building Info ahoy!

Teenagers are jerks, And Adult Dragons are significantly less social that there younger counterparts.


I admit, that second part was new; I was taken a bit by surprise when I saw how much of a social contrast there was between the different age groups, and I wonder if that's genetic, or just a symptom of the fact that Dragon "culture" seems to amount to being a greedy, solitary hoarder x3.

Also, developing the relationship between Spike and rarity? YES! She's actually returning his affection, if in a protective, motherly way. I just tend to like continuity nods a bit too much, but maybe others saw this as a nice touch too?

Again, tons of fun...and I probably went over points everypony else already covered, but regardless, the above constitutes my "two cents" as it were.

Yay! Everything's returning to normal! ...Which is vaguely ironic, considering that the return of the personification of insanity itself, Madness is a sign of renewed normalcy  ^-^
