From the palace, Celestia and Luna keep watch over the land, while the Royal Guards in their gleaming armor keep trouble at bay on the streets. The Royal Palace in all its splendor is the most recognizable landmark in the city, but there are plenty of other famous places around. From Celestia's school to the many grand libraries and fine restaurants, you won't get bored.
Who knows? You may even run into one of the Princesses, and other very famous ponies are known to frequent the city, too.
But like anyplace else, Canterlot has its darker side. From low-level thieves to scheming nobles, there's plenty of trouble to be found if you're not careful.

He can get depressed from time to time, and anypony who threatens his family or friends might quickly learn how fierce he can be. He's not great with close friendships, and has a tendency to push ponies away if they start getting really close to him.

*Onyx happily trotted through the streets of Canterlot, having finally arrived in the morning after a long road trip. The bright buildings and happy residents always had a way of making his mood more sunny. In the distance, the Royal Palace shone like the sun itself. Onyx had been there a couple of times, but the palace had never held any great interest for him. He much preferred the shops and restaurants of the outer districts. Wandering the streets brought back a tide of memories. Some good, some bad. His eyes fell on a small salon tucked away in a row of buildings in a rougher part of the city. Years ago, that building served as a recruiting station for the Equestrian Army. It was where he took his first steps toward becoming a soldier. He pushed those thoughts out of his mind for now. So much to do, and only so much daylight to do it in.*
Meanwhile in Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns*Dewshine levitated a piece of chalk and scribbled on an enormous blackboard. Today, she would be beginning a series of public history lectures about the Great War. A topic difficult for her to discuss. Difficult, but necessary. The words of her old Sergeant came to mind: "I know it's not easy, Dew. But we HAVE to make the ponies at home understand. From what I've seen, they think of this business as some grand, heroic adventure. We might have won the war, but the cost was so high. Ponies like you, me, and all the rest? We can tell the story. Maybe make those in power think twice about doing this again." It was probably wishful thinking that the accounts of a few grunts could change the minds of nobility, but Dew would do her best. Hehe, "Dew would do?" Very witty, she thought to herself. She didn't want to let the Sergeant down.*

Species: Wolf
Gender: Male
Colours: General base fur colour is a dark Navy (#453b66), He has multiple patches of (#8c73c9), longer, fluffy fur (#765fa7) such as around his (#5a4e86) hind legs or his neck. (#816bbb) Which are multiple shades of lighter purple (#7062a7). On the tips of his paws and his inner ears he has a pale purple (bba6ff). He also has a dark to light blue gradient tail and mane. Which goes from the darker (#42459a) to the much lighter (#7d8df1). He also has light blue eyes (#74d4ff). His pawpads happen to be a lighter blue-ish purple in colours (#9d94fb).
Personality: Gamepaw is a fairly outgoing wolf, not to shy down from anything, bullies and the like. He tends to be kind, fatherly or loving, enjoying looking after others and will even put himself in the way if he sees something he doesn't like. He also tends to very food absorbing, commonly seen eating some sort of baked good, mainly pie as his favourite.
However as a feral or a pet character, he is fairly helpless due to his chubbiness getting the better of him, he can also be scared or become afraid very easily, due to his large weight and general helplessness if he knows something will happen and he knows he can't get away or escape.
Physical Description: A pudgy wolf by no doubt as his constant snacking catches up with him, but it doesn't cause him much of an issue outside of his feral/pet form. Comparatively being a lot skinnier than the four legged counterpart. As an anthro character he also sometimes has a long extended tail, capable of wrapping around things such as others or his neck like a scarf. As a pet, he can normally been seen with a purple collar on, however it keeps having to be replaced due to his weight and size.
Short Backstories: (Specific backstories for certain universes e.g Pokemon, Fallout)
Feral/Wild: Growing up in a pack, Game was never liked the other wolves. He tended to act more like a carer or parent to the pups than the hunter/gatherer he was supposed to be. His more stationary life style left him with a softer physique which caused discussion amongst the others. The pups didn't seem to mind though as they played with the pudgy wolf near the pack den, it was good training for taking down the larger and heavier animals.
When it was time to move, the pack leaders took the pups on their back and began running off to a new location, not telling Game where it was and easily leaving him in the dust due to the speed difference. They considered him a waste of effort and resources and decided to let him fend for his own, something he did not do very well.
Game ended up surviving mainly on the plants and any scraps he could find left behind by campers or litterers.

"While I deal with the Corporal's non-regulation mane cut."

Game, having gotten separated from the ponies he was travelling with before, went back to doing what he was doing before. Scavenging.
The chubby canine rustled and digged through the trash outside, of the unicorn school in Canterlot, a lot of food was used in the magic testing so it always allowed the food loving wolf to get his fill.

Personality: Seriously energetic. She is clever, but she would rather discuss plans than take action in them because she's clumsy. She usually uses magic in combat if she needs to. Her mind can be occupated with a lot of thoughts and she usually can only focus on one thing. She can be extremely talkative at times and very quiet at times, but usually she's balanced in between.
Occupation: Nothing in the present, former student of Celestia.
Misc: (Just any extra info) She used to be a human, and came here five years ago. She has also made friends with Nightshade (a changeling that doesn't drain love) and is very trusted by her. She also has a crush on Miru, who is known as Ink Comet yet she can never call him Ink unless speaking out loud. She also has a tiny developing crush on Onyx.

Talent:He passes off his talent as writing about 'fictional worlds'. He has shown to have some sort of talent with navigation, as well.
He is also a great spook/grump tamer! Ahaha, this can't pass as an actual talent; just joking!Personality: Childish and dependent, Ink is rarely seen away from those he considers a close friend. He can be a bit naive as well, wanting to believe something positive about others. He has a rather angry, distrusting voice in his head, however, who often piles onto the already existing paranoia. Once somebody has earned Ink's trust, he will often follow them, hoping to be of assistance, or to stay away from other possible dangers. He also tries to keep his more aggressive friends under control, as he is not a fan of fighting. However, if he must, he will attack with surprising strength.
Occupation: His job and titles are 'Guardian', and 'The Host'. He doesn't like expanding on what these roles are, or mentioning them at all. All that matters to him right now in the term 'occupation' is the fact he is on vacation.
Although I will say his Host title does not refer to him hosting a party.Misc:Despite how friendly he appears to be, this feminine pony keeps some secrets to himself! For one, he has managed to stay nearly completely off the map of officials. This is most likely due to him being unregistered in the land of Equestria.
He can't use common unicorn abilities despite having a horn. The horn in question is actually considered artificial! It allows him to focus his powers of creating portals, however.

Ink, as Nightlight knows, was originally human! However, he keeps this a secret, and now wonders if he can be called human anymore due to many alterations that have happened since he 'disappeared' from Earth for a while.
Ink met Colere and Zacharie in another land that played by a completely different set of rules, and now lives in that land. He was originally considered a threat, as the transition to the land left him...Certainly not human. He became known as a Ghoul due to his supposed status of being a physical being that was possibly alive and dead at the same time.
The angry voice that often pops up in Ink's thoughts is actually a dead rabbit that contains immense knowledge, pulling it in from the area. It mainly only gives Ink knowledge of landmarks, or places of interests. It tends to be sarcastic and snarky, reminding Ink not everything is delightfully fun.
Ink has lead in a war before, and won!
He has seen the meteor apocalypse.
His life stretches quite far, and should not be peered into.
These secrets are known by a select few. Colere and Zacharie have the option of knowing these dark facts and more upon request. Nightlight knows of Ink's real name and how he appears as a human. These are the only three I have considered knowing special, intimate knowledge of Ink.
Aaah, it was such a long quiet ride, wasn't it? Ink groaned and stretched whenever he finally got off the train to Canterlot, shaking himself off in front of the train station. He of course traveled with his friend, as they had some things to do together in this big ol' city!
For Ink, this meant visiting another friend's shop, as well as maybe buying a few things, sight see a little. Maybe try some of the food here. You know, be a tourist! The idea filled the long eared pony with glee, a bright smile on his face! He dug a map out of his saddle pack (which was mostly empty except for some snacks), hoping to find the location of his friend's shop on the map. After making sure his partner had gotten off the train as well, he began walking, a bit of a bounce in the pony's step!
On his way to find his dear friend's shop! We can do it!

Name: Colère
Race: Mutant Changeling/Griffin
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown, but appears to be an adult
Talent: He appears to have a knack for finding the corrupt, and taking down those who should be hard to take down. It is unknown how he determines who is "impure" and "pure", but it seems to depend on the person/pony/whatever. In addition to this, he seems to have the odd ability of Telepathy, though he cannot control when he uses it and what he hears. Thoughts appear as voices to him, and he will either hear everyone's thoughts, or no one's thoughts.
Personality: While mainly stoic and emotionless, he does tend to have a more angry side of him. Whilst overwhelmed (via thoughts or other means), he will quickly turn to anger and burst out. He highly dislikes getting angry, as it clouds his judgement, but he will sometimes take that anger, and turn it into something rather sinister. Colere does not seem to be afraid of the thought of needing to fight to the death, or will he try to avoid it. He is rarely seen without his buddy, Ink by his side. The griffin is quite attached to his pony friend, though most would be unsure why, he makes it clear that if anything were to happen to Ink, he would do something quite rash.
Occupation: Baseball Player/"Purifier"
Misc: Colere is sometimes referred to as "The Batter" or some form of that. The name "The Batter" is more of a title to him, though it is used as a nickname by his close friends. As a mutant changeling, he does not feed on love, rather he seems to feed on "impurity" or "corruption". It is unsure how his body/mind determines what is eatable, but that doesn't quite matter. He is always in his griffin form, and his attitude makes it hard to find out what he truly is. It is also hard to figure out that he can hear others thoughts, as he never leads onto it, or never really says that he can. Unless another can read thoughts (which around Colere there might be an echo of thoughts), a regular pony will not find out.

Colere stepped out from the train, feathers puffed up. He eyed everyone around him, glaring as he intently listened to whispered thoughts. He put a wing around his horse friend, Ink, staying near him. The monochrome, and rather beefy, griffin held his head high. Canterlot. The city of the princesses. The perfect time to observe how this new, and rather strange, land is like. How exciting. Well, not really. He has no feelings towards it, and instead feels like it's his job to inspect here.
"I am glad the tram ride is over,"
Colere said a bit quietly. In all honesty, he really hated trains. It reminded him of home. A home he rather not remember. He was quiet the whole ride, listening the whole time. Now though, he was off and could relax.
"Where is the first place we go?"
Colere looked down at Ink, tilting his head.

Race: Bat Pony
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Talent: Zacharie is well known to give off a guiding vibe, bringing ponies to often believe him. Sense of royalty in some way. Not much is known about his talent.
Personality: Zacharie is a very serious, but not serious? No no that's not it, he's a very mischievous one. Playing pranks and often making puns purposely. Though this is only half of him, he can be very calm and helpful. Mostly it's his business is where he acts like so. Watching and observing the others, or what he calls 'Players,' he doesn't know why he calls everyone players. It seemed fitting, in some cases that is.
Occupation: Merchant, usually found at Canterlot selling apples and other knickknacks.
Misc: Probably the fact that he can hear the slightest of whispers, irritates him sometimes. Stupid hearing. Also owns a small white cat with two black circles on his cheeks. His name is Meon.
Zacharie had been pushing different barrels in front and behind his set up, filled with different colored apples that he tends to sell. Sometimes sneaking a few from the barrels when he was hungry. He wasn't expecting a crowd of voices near his set up, it was loud and annoying. Of course he has to interact with them and pushing himself out of his comfort zone. It was his job. He can't just stop doing his job just because of that little zone that he can perfectly keep control of; besides, he loves this job with all his heart. It's enjoyable, fun, and relaxing to watch everyone come by. Unless they are screaming and his ears pick it up like they are screaming right into his ear. That's where all the relaxation disappears. Oh well, he can deal with it. It's not unusual at this point.

Concern fills his face for a bit at the thoughts of those places, but quickly forces a toothy grin to his face for the griffin. Ah, his buckteeth. They're not so obvious anymore. Oh well. He isn't much of a bunny anymore anyways, is he?
He nearly trips over himself while distracted, but keeps himself from falling or stopping. Although, his face is rather red now from embarrassment. Nobody saw that, right?

After quite a bit of walking, Ink manages to find Zacharie's shop! He walks in, looking around at the items, then looks for the bat pony while still under Colere's protective wing.

Game had managed to get his fill from the trash, eating a few battle scarred pies and some more colourful looking food and was getting ready to go, however as he did so he noticed an opening in the side door. A powerful smell of warm food was coming through the door and the wolf was intrigued and feeling greedy.
Game always preferred hot and fresh food over those that were thrown away and left in the cold for who knows how long, this was a perfect opportunity to get some good food for a change.

Colere's feathers slowly laid back, flat against him. He has calmed down a tad, but he still cannot shake the strange feeling he has. Perhaps having no purpose has given him time to grow? Whatever was going on, he does not like it.

Colere was glad that they were here now. No more over powering thoughts. They were all but faint whistles in the wind. He skims through everything, finding all of it strange. These do not seem to be the regular items Zacharie sells. Though, he has to remember that they are away from home now. New land, new items. He relaxes his wing a bit, feeling that there is no chance of danger at the moment. Nothing usually attacked whilst Zach was around anyways.

Zacharie popped his head from the back, blinking at them both before fully coming out and to the counter. "Bonjour, mes amis." He greeted, his masked was in the backroom so his teethy grin was showing. It was more calm looking then distressed of course like he was in the backroom. The sight of his friends distracted him from what was distressing. "Here to buy something or are you looking for something?" He commented, with a slight tilt of his head.
Ink looks so excited to see their friend, but knows he can't go behind the counter at the moment. That would just be bad business practice, wouldn't it?
"Yes! To both questions! I wanna buy something, for sure, but I don't know what you have to sell juuust yet. ...Got anything soft?" Knowing Ink, he's probably looking for a type of clothing, or possibly a doll. Maybe even a stress relief toy.

Dewshine lifts a piece of chalk in her magic aura, and begins writing on the blackboard...*

*In his rented room, Onyx carefully and reverently adjusts his Army dress uniform. Cover (hat) on properly. The tunic perfectly centered on his frame, buttons, badges, and medals all polished to a keen shine. Sergeant's stripes on his sleeve. He's prepared his uniform as if he was back in the army, getting ready for an inspection from Celestia herself. He reaches up almost unconsciously and touches the badge just above his campaign ribbons. Two crossed swords flanked by emblems of the sun and moon. This is his Combat Action Badge, only given to soldiers who served on the front line. Like most Great War soldiers, this badge is sacred to him.*
*Scarlet and Lily both get prepared for the lecture, though with completely different objectives: the younger sister is getting ready to another day of learning, though a special lesson is coming to pass, while the older one...

*Standing up straight in his military posture, Onyx walks out of his room and out into the hall. A few ponies standing around in the hotel take notice. Bon Bon and Lyra, who are in Canterlot for some reason, whistle appreciatively. Onyx gives them a smirk and bow of his head as he walks past.*
"Good morning to you both!" *He's talking like a gentlecolt.*
"Hey you!" *Lyra answers* "I might be mistaken, but I think Scarlet will approve greatly!"
*Onyx blushes slightly, then controls himself*
"Hope so. But I'm wearing the uniform because it's a formal setting and there will be royalty present. It's required. I'm totally not wearing it to impress Scarlet!"
*He says, though he's not even trying to sound convincing*

*Onyx trots through the Canterlot morning toward Lily and Scarlet's place. It's a bit chilly. Passing the lecture hall, he catches sight of several other ponies in army uniforms. Including one wearing a Germane Officer's dress uniform.*
"Interesting. I'll have to say hello to him."
*He arrives at the sisters' place and knocks on the door*
*Except the door gets opened before he can and he accidentally boops Scarlet's nose.*

*Onyx blushes fiercely at Lily's comment and marches along after her with Scarlet at his side. As they reach the front of the lecture hall, Onyx sees the huge crowd of ponies. Including several familiar faces. He waves to Lyra and Bon Bon, then the Germane Officer he saw earlier approaches. He bows his head to Onyx in a military fashion*
"Hello, Sergeant. I'm Oberleutnant Grimmige Klinge. 78th Independent Regiment. Or I was, anyway."
*He says pleasantly. Onyx salutes, and answers with military courtesy*
"It's good to meet you, Oberleutnant. I'm glad you're here. We may have been on opposite sides, but all our stories need to be told."
*The Germane nods*
"Indeed. I have to say, the ponies here have been very welcoming. I'm a bit surprised."
*Onyx smiles*
"Well, after the war ended, there was no 'us vs. them' with your people anymore. We were all soldiers. We all went through a lot... By the way, these are my friends: Scarlet Ink and her sister Lily."
*The Germane bows his head respectfully to the two sisters*
"An honor to meet you both."

Somewhere on the outskirts of the city, a train from Manehattan pulls into the station, as many ponies file out of it's cars. Among these ponies was a young mare by the name of Sparkle Chord, who was visiting Canterlot for the first time. As the young mare stepped off the train and followed the crowd into the city's gates, she took a deep breath. This was it. Her first day away from home. After 17 years of living in Manehattan with her parents, she was finally heading out to see the world. Taking in the sights of the sparkling city, Sparkle marveled at the pristine white buildings and golden spires of Equestria's capital. The whole place gave off a regal aura, filling the mare with a sense of excitement. Taking a moment to search through her saddlebags, Sparkle pulled out a map and quickly examined it. Assuming she was reading this thing right, her destination was on the other side of town. Letting out a sigh, she began walking in the direction of the magic school she was supposed to attend. The walk would be a long one, but with every step her heart grew lighter, the excitement of attending a school specially for magic building within her quickly.

One of the most memorable times of his young life. He's so wrapped up in his thoughts that he doesn't see the young unicorn mare in front of him until he's nearly on top of her. He lets out a gasp and skids to a quick halt. Nearly bumping into

Rather startled by the almost-collision with an unknown stallion, Sparkle nearly fell over anyhow, even though she never actually collided with anyone. Regaining her balance, she turned toward the pony who had almost walked over her with an apologetic look.
"No no, it's fine! That was totally my fault! I should've been paying more attention..." She said, smiling sheepishly. "Are you alright?"

"Actually, yeah, that's exactly where I was headed!" Sparkle said with a smile, following the earth pony as he began to walk off. Upon the stallion introducing himself, she offered a polite nod. "Nice to meet you too! My name's Sparkle Chord!" She said, her smile bright as ever. Her first day in the city, and she had already made a new friend! How exciting!
