It runs IntelHD graphics 4000 series which in this case is APU "Accelerated Processing Unit" and your laptop APU will be struggling with this game, I don't want you to go to BIOS and tweak up video shared memory with no experience especially, the next is, locate in system tray IntelHD graphics panel/  right click on it/ Properties or settings.
There you should find a power balance and set it to performance/high performance because at ballanced mode the APU is 40% usable.

Ok, I put the power balance at maximum performance. I tried going into the game again but it still shows the blank pink screen.

What version of the game have you downloaded? And do you have skype?

I do have Skype, and I have downloaded the "86 build for 32 bit" one.

First check if you GPU drivers are up to date, I don't recommend to overclock the GPU if it is weak, if it doesn't help try to download different bit version of the game, or if it's still doesn't help, then you need to change graphics settings via "nVidia control panel" or "ATI AMD catalyst panel".

I'm going to be completely honest here. I have no idea how to check my GPU drivers. I have no idea what "nVidia control panel" or "ATI AMD catalyst panel" are or how to access them. I am not very tech savvy at all.

First, do you have Desktop computer or Notebook?

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop

That explains a lot, well if you can give me exact model name, I could try to help you how I can.

I downloaded it but when I bring it up, it has a black screen that says "powered by Unity" before going to a completely blank pink screen. Is it supposed to do that? Will it automatically change and actually show something once the server is open for play tomorrow?

My friend had same issue and that is caused by GPU

What is GPU?

Graphics
Processing
Unit

Will I be able to play still, or is there something I have to do first to fix it?

This is Star Rider, the mane character of my FiM-Fiction "My Little Pony: Friendship of Generations".

Star is an orphaned pony living in Ponyville. She has grown up living with her older sister Grace Storm, who began running the Carasoul Boutique following the death of her mentor Rarity. Star is said to bear a resemblance to each member of the original Mane 6, bearing different traits that all of them held. Like  she is brave and wild. She loves to laugh like  . Kind and loving like  . She is studious and smart like  . She is very hardworking like  . And she loves helping everypony out whenever they need it, just like  .

Hello everypony. My name is Brent Hauserman, better known in the Brony community as the GeekBAH. I am a 21 year old college student from Michigan in the United States. A born-again Christian and otaku, I got into My Little Pony in October 2013 after seeing Smile HD for the first time (full details can be found in a video I made that will be linked to at the bottom). I run the GeekBAH Reviews, a YouTube Channel and Facebook page in which I make videos reviewing different anime as well as My Little Pony related things. I have reviews, PMV/AMVs, and so much more. I am also currently writing a FiM-Fiction entitled My Little Pony: Friendship of Generations - Season 01 The Dark Stars. It can be found on fimfiction.net under My Little Pony Friendship of Generations. As of typing this, I have released the prologue and first episode (as this FiM-Fiction is done episodic style instead of novella style). New episodes are released weekly on Fridays. As for myself, I am pretty easy to get along with. I am kind and helpful and try to never be controversial. If I have differing opinions, I state so in a polite manner and I always respect the differing opinions of others, even when I may not agree with them. In my opinion, Fluttershy is best pony and Diamond Tiara is worst. Outside of MLP, I am big into anime, music, and movies. I love to write and read and play video games. My favorite anime is Naoki Urasawa's Monster. My favorite genre of music is Classic Rock, though my favorite band, Foo Fighters, is more contemporary. My favorite movie is too hard to say because I like so many, but amongst my favorites are The Dark Knight, Dead Poet's Society, and Equestria Girls. My favorite video game genre is rpg, and favorite game is Telltale's The Walking Dead. So that's me in a nutshell. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask. There isn't much I'll hide. I'm excited for Legends of Equestria and hope it comes to be really good.
