I tought the great dictator was a great movie, even tough Mr Chaplin tought different about it.
It sent chills down my spine when i heared it for the first time...
And the speech still remains to be my favourite (movie) quote until now.

The Wandering Magus

what if I say no? :/  I hate being "commanded" to do something.  Anyhow.

Seen it before, without even clicking the link I know what it is.  Oh no, I'm starting to sound like Lary now.

A beautiful speech that has reached out to many including myself.
It is a wonderful reminder for the good part of humanity.

Shame it doesn't reach out to all.

The version I came across when I first heard it (has additional video and a fitting track to make the speech just that much more):
Spoiler: show

Another interesting fact about this video:
I am told it was the first time chaplin spoke in his field of work.
He was also loved and adored by Hitler before the war and Chaplin put all of his effort into mocking but also trying to bring sense into the smart but crazed and insane leader of Germany.

Huh, I didn't know that... so this was actually sort of targeted at Hitler. Suddenly the speech became a lot more meaningful (not that it wasn't before).

That speech gives me always that indescribable feeling. Cannot find any words for it. Really one of the greatest movies ever.

All work and no candy makes Choco a dull colt!
