I thought something was odd when the launcher I downloaded just after noon had the same filename as the one I downloaded in August (and included August's date). But I've downloaded Launcher 0.2 and am having it "update" now.

The downloads will be available from the downloads page. It's probable that, like the last OSE, there will be options to download the client directly or download the loader that will do the work for you.

Considering there was no way to tell whose chest got dropped, and that they disappear if they're not picked up, I can understand how it happens. Now if they could be automatically picked up...

It might be because this isn't the usual stress-test event, just (as they've said) a "party" despite the new content.

I think I can understand where the writers are coming from with Discord, though.
There's a very close relationship between chaos and order (and Discord identifies with chaos, not evil or cruelty). They're not just defined opposites; those who study chaos theory quickly realize that they end up creating each other. Without chaos, order will eventually immobilize everything.
In Equestria, a reformed Discord can fill the role of "loyal opposition" and work against stagnation. In story terms, Discord can be used as both a "safe" antagonist and a lesson that there's a difference between those that you don't like and enemies. Both Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon can be used in similar roles, along with Trixie, Gilda, and other characters.
Have the writers achieved this? No, not really. But it's also not something that can be achieved in a single story.

Because organizing an Open Server Event of any length (even for a few hours) isn't simple. They're trying to make sure things are working the way they want before scheduling one, and even then they're fixing things during the event.

Fluttershy has already found what she wants from life -- quietly tending animals and helping people match up with pets.
Pinkie Pie is in a similar situation, but she has become more responsible in terms of Cupcake Corner. And don't forget she knows she's inspired at least one pony (Cheese Sandwich) to excel at a similar career. Assisting in the spread of friendship would seem to dovetail into that perfectly.
Applejack is the one that might need to be shown achieving more. If she's a competent businesspony (and a successful farmer would be), Sweet Apple Acres would eventually stop being in perpetual money trouble; it's a useful plot device, but eventually it becomes unrealistic. Of course she can't just sit back and lounge on past successes, so it's possible what she really needs to do is realize she is successful, possibly by being able to compare SAA to a failing farm.

IIRC, it's standard for contracts for TV series to be written to last seven years. If that happened here, there will probably be seven seasons.
