San Franciscolt for me and I got hit with it at lvl 10. Happened to me during the August 2016 OAR too. I am stuck at level 10

I believe they will regardless, just in case they don't know yet. Give them an hour to send it out, but if at first you dont see the LAF discussion thread then... guess thats bad luck. Honestly I would feel bad to those who failed.

I thought I had a good chance with my background but nothing's guaranteed.

Being a game programmer myself, albeit not on LoE but I imagine the process is very similar, I imagine that the devs are on crunch time trying to get some last minute stuff done as well. And that would mean they don't have a build for us to download yet so there would not be any notifications yet. Just a hypothesis though.

Looks like my guess that it would happen over the weekend may be correct. Honestly, I haven't been F5ing very much. I check the forums maybe 6 times a day and I spent the majority of today sleeping 

Maybe nopony will be accepted.

Thursday night and still no word. I'm guessing they will notify people over the weekend.

I don't believe so. The 12th is when the servers open permanently. It is more than likely that they will inform those who have been accepted before then.

I only have 3 finals and they are all on Tuesday. I've got Monday and Thursday off, but I have a job on-campus on Wednesday and Friday. I'll have some time during the week at least, but as Twilight once said, "CLOCK. IS. TICKING."

Some great backgrounds in game programming here. I'm pretty sure ya guys are near the end of the semester, yes? Could be great to give much more time to play around in the L.A.R. event.

Yeah next week is my Finals week. I start up Spring semester on the 2nd week of January I think.

I've actually got 2 Unity projects going for this semester. One of them is for a research project on AI (I decided to research dynamic reactive actions to better simulate human behavior). The other one is for my portfolio project and is entirely focused on writing Unity shaders for material/texture effects, post-processing effects, and particle system effects. I'm aiming to get a job as a Graphics Programmer specializing in shaders once I graduate.

Thanks! Honestly, if my college schedule wasn't so demanding, I probably would have applied to be a programmer on the game a while back.

Well if there has already been a wave of people who have been given access...then I didn't get in.  But fingers / hooves crossed that I'll get in eventually.

I don't know if there has been a wave of people already accepted yet. We only have one person here who has claimed to have been accepted so far. We won't really know until Monday!

While I won't be too upset if I don't get accepted, I will be a bit surprised. I'm a college student in my final year going for a Video Game Programming degree and I basically do playtesting, bug tracking, debugging, and project feedback every day for a living which sounds like a fantastic candidate according to what they are looking for, if I'm not mistaken. 

Either way, we'll all be able to join in the game at some point or another so I'm happy to wait as long as necessary if I'm not accepted.

Talking about no man's sky, personally I think LOE seems decently optimized, though it can't really be that demanding due to what it is.

I was able to run it during their latest August OSE with an old laptop using GeForce GT 750M (which is about 10x worse than a desktop GeForce 460). So it's not too intensive on the GPU.

So the LAR starts in a week. And it's been 2 weeks since the LAR Applications closed. Does this mean we should be hearing back today?
