By the way,cool question! :]
I was gonna delete this thread but apparently I can't here. Heh.
I can speak German and Spanish as well as English, although I'm pretty bad at both. And I know a little Japanese.
I've wanted to learn Russian, it's quite interesting. Although mostly because of the Soviet days, lol.

I've been trying to learn Japanese >:/
Well, in Singapore everyone here is bilingual, and I can speak Malay. I'm lazy to type it out right now though ovO
I know a bit of French. Je connais un peu de français.
English, Swedish and somewhat Norwegian.
I only speak only useless other languages! I'm a mediocre Latinist and I used to have a basic grasp of Quenya, Tolkien's main Elvish tongue~
...
And I kind of have this Klingon Dictionary.
My main language is spanish, i know english, i can understand portugese and a little bit of italian, but can't talk none of these last two :/
Finnish, Swedish and English.
English, a vague understanding of languages similar to Danish, and a tiny bit of understanding and speaking Japanese, but can not make proper sentences.
Seeing as I'm Danish I would have to note that English was something I learned later, and most other tongues I know are based mostly common traits and words in other languages, though I'm next to hopeless at understanding speech of other than some few accents of Danish and English.
Bulgarian,English and a little bit Russian.
English and Italian. And trying to learn Japanese.
I can speak Japanese! :O
I speak chinese..... But I dont have the tones in my keyboard :/

But you wouldn't use pinyin anyway, you'd use simplified or traditional Hanzi.
If you look in your keyboard settings you can probably enable the Chinese IME, enabling you to type in pinyin, press space, and see it converted to Hanzi.
Only English fully, with some German and Spanish.
I'd really like to learn Portuguese, since I have several friends in Brazil. :P
Dutch, English and a basic knowledge of French.
Dutch , English , Croatian/Serbian , basic German Knowledge , Basic French Knowledge , Basic Russian (speaking only) knowledge.
How is that like, speaking Spanish and hearing Portugeese? Is it like listening to someone with a weird accent? Or is it closer to what it would be like for me to listen to Pidgin English?
Ben bilmekebilir Turkce ve biraz Italyan ve ben niyet bilgi cince, Rusca, Japonca, Malayca, Norvecce, Fransizca, Isvicre, isvecce, Fince ve Almanca.
I can speak Turkish and a little bit of Italian and I plan on learning Chinese (Mandarin), Russian,
Japanese, Malay, Norwegian, Swiss, Swedish, Finnish and German.
It's a lot of languages, but I'll hopefully learn it over time... ovO

Not Spanish or Portuguese, but I do speak some Spanish. I'd say more like Pidgin English... you recognise a lot of words when written, but they're pronounced pretty differently, and there's also a bunch of things you don't recognise at all.
Spanish and portugese resemble a LOT, also there are some parts of countrys that mix both spanish and portugese and have another language (don't know how it's called).
Like the Spain and Portugal borders, they mix some spanish and portugese, or the Argentina - Brasil- Uruguay (my country :3) borders, they mix some spanish and portugese too.
My mane (yes, mane...) language is Italian, but also I can understand basic English. Also I know a little bit of French, but really a little bit.
Can anybody recommend a cheap japanese learning program? I keep trying to independently learn it, but I always get side tracked and distracted :l

If you have an iOS device,
iStart Japanese! is really good. (that's an i, iStart, not upside down exclamation mark)
I don't know any languages as well as English and Spanish, but I speak words in French and German. Tengo un problema de hablar y escribir en francés y alemán.

I actually had that app for my ipod touch before I sold it, that's how I got what little Japanese I know from
As a Canadian we are forced to learn both English and French in school(Grades 4-9 are mandatory), but I took it in Gr.10 too. That was ~6 years ago so i'm starting to forget it(French). Je n'aime pas parler francais. Desole. ovO
I tried making sure I said that correctly and google translate says that means I don't speak french....I speak enough to know that's wrong... lol

(in case you can't read any of that, japanese, spanish, mandarin and cantonese. i only took about a year's worth of quenya (elvish), and forgot a lot of my latin, unfortunately.)
My main language is English, I do know some French, and I'm learning Russian. :3
Main language is Spanish and I can perfectly speak, sing, write and think in English. How'd I learn? Videogames. Seriously, no classes, just videogames.
I used to correct my english teachers these past couple of years in highschool (Graduated this year)! lol
Looking forward to learning Italian (Which I somehow understand a bit of, though at the moment can't speak or write... Wait... Pizza! Gelato!) and French (Same as Italian).
I guess I can understand some portuguese since it's so similar to spanish. As someone else said, it's easier to read than to listen to it, that's for sure. But I can still communicate barely with people who speak the language.
And nice spanish Magus! Could use some polishing here and there, but you can get by just fine! ^-^

Thank you!

gracias, julius! ^-^ un dia quiero hablarla fluentemente x3

Ihanko oikeasti? Suomea ajattelit ruveta opettelemaan.
Se voi viedä jonkin aikaa. Suomi nimittäin on aika erilainen kieli verrattuna esimerkiksi englantiin ja ruotsiin.

That's the spirit! You won't never writte in Spanish properly if you don't add a "xD" after each sentence. Even when it isn't related at all with the meaning of the sentence. Examples:
- "Tío, se me ha muerto el perro XD"
- "He roto con mi novio. xD"
- "Señor Ramírez, está despedido xD"
- "O paga el rescate en dos horas, o asesinamos cruelmente a su hija xD"
Sadly, it is more true that it seems. In fact, my friends thinks I am mad when I don't put a xD when talking to them, and that I am terribly mad when I put a full stop at the end of the sentence.
Hey, don't look bad at me. You have your "lols" and stuff, we have our "xD"s, it even makes our life better. Because even Cupcakes is a nice fanfic when Pinkie is smiling :D
Thanks for the compliment, by the way. Actually I always wondered how people sees me when talking in English, but, whatever... xD

"I don't speak *Something something, perhaps "a lot of"'* languages, yet I can say 'I don't know *Something* for a *Something*' and 'I don't know *Something something* *Something, perhaps "Body"* in Japanese. :]"
How accurate was that?

Outside of the bits that were originally in quotes, not bad! Think you confused "suis" (am) with "sais" (know), though - the full quote would be "I don't speak many languages, but I can say 'I'm not a girl' and 'I'm not a corpse' in Japanese. :]"
...and my own French is pretty limited, so the grammar's only guaranteed to be 90% correct. :/
No offense but you must look terribly bad if you must say you aren't a corpse to any japanese you see. :/ /joke
