I was in the park playing with my brother on the swing. My sketchbook was on his stroller. I was swinging my brother for five minutes, then I went to draw, AND SOMEONE STOLE MY BOOK! D: I want to kill someone now.
I think thats a bit much :s
All of my best drawings were in there. Also, I maaay have anger management issues. X3

At least you don't live in my town, 90% of the people there are criminals.
What use would they have with your sketchbook? I mean, really? I can understand if it was an iPod or a PSP or something, but it's a sketchbook!

I find this story odd...

How so? It only includes a pointless theft within a span of five minutes.
exactly
I've learned better than to trust other humans, and always keep a close eye on my things.
I've ended up paranoid about taking things out in public. I had to keep my bag or backpack close in high school because people stole my money once right before Christmas break ("Merry freakin' Christmas, you jerk." I thought) and my pens during lunch one day (when I had a teacher who put 0s on assignments written in pencil :l).
If I take my iPod with me, my iPod stays in my pocket and I wear my headphones around my neck when not listening to music. If I take my 3DS, it stays in my pocket. If it doesn't fit in my pocket, I leave it at home.
Even at college, I take my bag with me to the bathroom because my bag has my netbook in it.
I use the same amount of precautions too! Oddly people at my Collage actually return things if i lose them. its very nice : )
ppl may say that it's no big deal that your sketch book was stolen but it really is! A sketch book is what hold the entire evolution of your drawing skills! You could try to tell the police.....but I don't know if they would take it seriously

Exactly! Plus, all of those drawings are hours of hard work.
This reminds me of when I lost my sketch book... *sadness*
It could just be me being "optimistic and having good faith in people " but couldn't it just be a child with no idea of the concept of possession.
Who actually like the drawings or even the cover of the sketchbook. Not saying the child would be innocent of theft but...
If this really is the case, I hope there is a name of you in that book, maybe the mother sees it and hangs flyers in the park.
I really don't like little kids who think they can take things just because they like them

It might have been a kid. My name wasn't in there, but a sketch of my and my cousin.
Also, I traced my steps to see if it dropped, but it didn't. :c

Maybe you can hang up flyers of it, could always help.
Hay at least you have future drawing to look forwards too!
