Hello everypony! As you should know, in "Teh Minecraftness Thread", we've been discussing about making a video with us in it in a randomly generated world of vanilla minecraft, so we decided to move the discussion here.

The minecraft server will be set to normal mode.

Then if we make a nether portal ((Will we mostlty will never do in the first meeting)) stay out of it, the nether is VERY laggy.

And isn't Travius hosting the server?

Yes, Travius is hosting the server. I asked if he would want to join us in the video, and he said he probably will (although he'll be quiet most of the time).

Mmmm my brother said Bandicam can be decent, I'll probably be using FRAPS, I need to clear up some HDD space though

Oh my.... I'll try to get my computer to work on Travius' server. I may install optifine for this so that my computer doesn't insta crash from the spamming of nether rack in Herpy's town. Bandicam is good, I use it and it doesn't have to many problems with minecraft.

You can use livestream.com to record videos and stuff. Problem is I don't know how to get videos recorded with that onto youtube.

FRAPS isn't free unfortunately.

For quality FRAPS and DXTory are best, they require a decent PC to run though, and they're both commercial.

Bandicam is commercial, but takes less power, and I think the free version has more functionality than FRAPS's free version.

EDIT: By looks, Bandicam free is the same as commercial, except there is a watermark on the video, and each video is limited to 10 minutes.

Oh yay a clean map! I actually can go in the nether with ease, but it's once we get loading a lot of chunks there that I lag.

It's not limited to 10 minutes for me and I used the free download

The "About" tab on Bandicam says it's limited to 10 minute videos.

It might start recording a 2nd video file after 10 minutes, I don't know.

Tried installing, didn't work. The setup.exe thing was 0 bytes

So we're going to use Skype for voice chat right? Is it we can have multiple people voice chatting at the same time in one place? I don't use skype much

I just found out by looking at my youtube videos that I never even made it to 10 minutes of recording with bandicam yet XD only with hypercam.

And we can group chats. I know this because my brother always group chats with Skype.

Can't be bothered, I'll be Jenraux on Skype.

And I just tested, Bandicam free ends the recording after 10 minutes.

Livestream Procaster records MP4 files to your My Videos folder, but it may cause the game to lag, because it's constantly streaming it to the net. If you fiddled around with settings, you might be able to make it take hardly any bandwidth and still record good quality. It's free as well.
