So I tried to do the quest "Thirty Minutes or Less", but it wouldn't let me drop off the package. If I'm right, it keeps pointing me towards General Messerschmitt, but he just gives me stock dialogue. Though I may have ruined the quest anyway. In an attempt to restart the quest, I deleted the package from my inventory, with no reaction from any character.

I've also done the quest "Safely Home", which SAYS I've finished it in the journal, yet both characters still have quest markers over their heads, and the journal has three points for talking to each character colored green as though I haven't done them yet.

Quote from: Night Striker on 2017 Sep 14, 13:26:27This is a rather interesting post but there is one problem with it however.

As fun as it is to have exclusive quests for each type of pony, I do recall reading somewhere(I'll try to find it) on the forums that you're supposed to be able tackle the quests in different ways and overcome any disadvantage that any one pony might have. Of course, right now this isn't true since all the current quests are mostly just really long fetch quests.

That'd be interesting to see developed. That sort of thing was also done in SWTOR with the Dark side/Light side system. So even the class quests were kept interesting and could be played multiple times from multiple angles.

I know I keep using the same game as an example, but it really is a great example of quest lines done right on MMOs.

I've played several MMOs in my time, and there are two that stick out in my mind for how this one could go. One is bad, one is fantastic.

It all has to do with quest lines. The bad one I played (which I won't name) had quest lines for each class of character... but only up until level 20. After that point, every single class had the exact same set of quests available to them and it got dull incredibly quickly.

The fantastic one I played, which I'm perfectly happy with naming, was Star Wars The Old Republic. That game has eight available classes, and each one has its own story line til the very end of the Vanilla release, which was incredibly long. That's in addition to the quests available on each planet (aka in each area) that every class could play.

I feel going the route that SWTOR went, and having quests specific to each of the three types of Pony could be incredibly beneficial to this game. It would encourage players to make at least one character of each type of Pony to discover more about the game, and it would be a big draw for people who may not have been interested before.

I had this same problem. I went through every single conversation option, and eventually found one where he asked something along the lines of whether or not I had time to find information on the object for him and responded with something like "I don't, c'ya". THEN I was able to proceed in the quest.

His quest marker didn't go away, though. But I was able to finally go talk to Swifty.

Resolved Issues / Re: Dialogue Issues

I've been having this happen as well. It isn't every time I talk to somepony, but it happens often enough that I miss important points.

For example, I just spoke to Ancient Aviator to try and get his story, but missed a lot of important parts of it because the dialogue skipped on its own.

Resolved Issues / Re: Non-Pony Characters?

I would LOVE to play a dragon!

Something that I think would be very helpful if integrated into LoE would be indicators over the heads of ponies that either have a quest for the player, or are a shopkeeper, and perhaps both if that exists. This is something I've seen in many MMOs and it's incredibly useful and takes a lot of guesswork out of trying to find out how to progress in the story.

For a quest marker this game, I'm thinking a question mark, perhaps colored blue or red to differentiate it from quests that have already been started by the player.

For a shopkeeper, I think a Bit floating over their head would be enough of an indicator that the pony is at least interesting. It wouldn't take long for players to figure out that Bit=shop.

Resolved Issues / Re: Can't Enter The Game

I've been having a similar issue of my character getting stuck in an emote too. I just started playing as a Unicorn and it's happening nearly every time I talk to an NPC.

I HAVE found a way to get un-stuck without logging out, though. Using Teleport, I get my character to a door she can go through, usually the door to the school, and go through it. That gets her unstuck until the next conversation I enter. Though when I go through the portal, there's this really loud blast of static as it enters the loading screen.
