The Retirement Home / Game Keeps Crashing. What Do?

Right. So, I'm trying to play the game on my laptop, and it WILL. NOT. WORK. 
I can log in on the 64-bit version. I mean the game will pull up, and I can log in, and it will give me the servers to choose between to play on, but as soon as I try to connect to either one, the program will freeze, crash, and automatically force-kill itself. What's causing this problem?
I've tried to use the 32-bit version, as I was told that was more stable, and that works even worse. It runs far more slowly than the 64-bit version, and whenever I try to log in on that version I encounter a fatal error.
I'm using a 64-bit Dell Inspiron 1440 with a Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU @ 2.10 GHz with DirectX 11, with 3072MB (3 GB) of RAM.
EDIT: Upon the 32-bit version crashing, it generates a "gc" text file with the phrase "Last error code: 3e6"
