Applebloom being a carpenter makes sense, but I always liked the idea of the ponies in the Apple family having apple related cutie marks. So I think it'd be nice if it was a hammer in front of an apple or something.

Sweetie Belle, music related of course. Music note is the most common answer.

It's true that Scootaloo had some good dancing moves. In my own headcanon she eventually flies and is able to control thunder clouds with ease, but that's my headcanon with nothing canon at all 
Though if we follow canon, I think it's more likely her cutie mark would have something about her scooter in it. She seems more into that.

You made me think of the short story Dr.Wolf read ... 'The Mill'?

Yea, Apple Bloom would probably be some sort of construction related thing. Honestly, it's like I keep forgetting about that XD Everytime... I get:
Sweetie Belle- Singing (Matches her name...)
Scootaloo- Scooters (Matchers her name as well...)
Apple Bloom- .... Blooming... apples?

It's just... it's weird 

Yea, construction and building or something.... I mean... I could see how her name could connect to that but it seems like a real stretch.

I'd say that Apple Bloom will take care of the barn/house and fixing it up when it needs it. The children of Big Mac and Applejack will take care of the farm and Applejack will be like Granny Smith. As for her two best friends, they both make sense although Scootaloo hopefully will learn to fly. I'd like that to happen since she basically worships Rainbow Dash as her idol.

I actually kinda like Scootaloo as a handicap. I don't think I've ever seen a show treat it so casually, which is nice.

I do agree with Comet Oblivion.... I have come to expect more from this franchise than the stereotypical girl-sorts of cartoon. I know it sounds pretty stupid, considering MLP is intended for girls which thus makes it a girl-cartoon to begin with but if you look at female-oriented cartoons in the past, there is something (I dunno if it's just me?) mind-numbingly bad about them. Like, hitting all these clichés. I mean, there are a lot of similar problems with some more  male-only-oriented shows, too. If the show was like the movies, I wouldn't be into it.
I do think it is partially related to humans, though. I tend to like cartoons based on animals because I feel the writers become more free subconsciously.

I'm already getting bored of writing this XP Basically, didn't care for the movies, was hoping to like it more than I did (though I did like the opening sequence!), and don't see why they would've even made a sequel.

Then again, I was also never very much into the Monster Girl thing or whatever. Maybe I just don't understand XD

Oh geez... I've never really heard of Gumby.... except, maybe once from my dad XD Looked it up... looks kinda creepy 
Looney Tunes, though.... that was my childhood... the old series which came out way before I was born XD Looney Tunes feels more like a legacy, though, because of how many years its gone on. I mean, the MLP franchise has been going on for awhile.... just not in the same way MLP;FiM is set up. It is certainly something unique that stands out more than the rest, though I leave how well it was made up for interpretation, I do feel as though this gen in particular has gained the most traction. I don't see that often with cartoons... Which makes this situation rather unique and kind of odd to think about in my opinion. Sure, there's a new Looney Tunes series... but I honestly don't think it would ever hold as much cultural significance as the old one. ^^

Yea... I'm reminded of the Hamtaro fandom. Of course, there's still some who hang around, and heck, some who still come to join! I got into Hamtaro long after it was cancelled and stayed into it for about 4 years! I feel like MLP could be like that... the people we know will leave but new comers could still check it out. With all these sites and such heavy amounts of good fanmade content, I do feel like it could thrive for awhile, even if not in the same way it does today. 

But yea.... It's hard for me to imagine a 50th anniversary for MLP;FiM

But I do think that this show, though not reaching that point, will leave a heavy impact on children's shows to come.

I'm not really a particular fan of Equestria Girls to begin with... but I did go and see it for support. I don't think I'll do the same with Rainbow Rocks. I'm really not... into it. ^^'
