I wouldn't say it's competition. It's not even an MMO for a start.
Last time I checked Equestria Tales is a single player experience with its own story.
The_Unknown says my current stance towards it, looked awesome but it has gone a bit off radar.
I saw that video a long time ago but ignored it :P

That game does not look like an MMO at all, it could be a platformer like Super Mario 64, or Spyro.

Yeah saw this a couple of days ago, I'm pretty sure its dead however.
Last piece of news on it was 27th November 2011.
I'm more excited about LoE than I would have been for that, but ah well.
He might have run into problems later on considering hes using a fair bit of content that is owned by Hasbro.
Someone said they like it better than LoE because it has better graphics. Pfffft. High graphics can lag, and graphics don't make the game. Not very fair to compare a single-player game to a multiplayer game anyway. ;)

Well said. As a game collector. The Graphics is the least you should worried about. I still enjoy my Atari 2600 and there graphics is pixelated.
However this game does catch my interest.
The graphics are great, it will just take awhile because of that x3
OH i saw a video of this a long time ago! it looked interesting at first but once i found out it was only single player i turned a bit away from it, ether way ill likely play it sometime
Yep I own 2 Commodore Amiga's and an N64, GFX certainly don't make a game...
And MMO's in general have worse GFX, usually due to a larger game mode and the fact that they are harder to program, meaning less time to bother with graphics.

Oh yeah. The aesthetics of Okami were really good. The whole thing seems very much "ancient Japan", especially the fact that the whole game looks like a Japanese painting.
Equestria Tales may have really nice graphics, but LoE has better aesthetics by actually looking more like the cartoon while being 3D. It's very colorful and fun, and I'm really gonna feel like I'm in Equestria.
I dunno... I really like ET's style, from a non-technical point of view. The colors used are awesome - it has kind of a twilight-ish (no pun intended) look to it.
I agree that LoE fits the show's style much more accurately though.
