I would like to point out to everyone that the actual results probably won't be finished until a couple more days.

The official word was "about two weeks" and "before the release"

This is big, and I am sure that they received thousands of applications, and each of them worth consideration.

So most likely, we'll get news Thursday or Friday.

And if I'm wrong, then that's just a bonus!  X3

Just don't hold down that refresh button too hard.

No doubt someone that was chosen will be Hyper and be like "I was chosen!"  O:

That's what I'm counting on. That way, even if they don't send out rejection notices, I will still know for sure.

No point with making benchmarks. First off public releases havent had any fancy graphic options settings and as for the benchmark, for that all they have to do is try the game on 8+ year old rig with low specs and it will be no brainer that anything above will work.  Dont know about latest builds but from previous public tests it worked just fine on 512MB opengl 4.0 GPU, so the question is if it will work with GPU's  with opengl 3.x and below. For example Intel Extreme Graphics 2 had problems like no textures

As for minimum ammount of ram well it all depends how much stuff people are running in the background, some have <2GB, others more, but in the end if someone has at least 1GB or more free RAM (not counting in use by system) it should be ok.

Also the big factor is ammount of people around you since this IS a MMO after all. The more people around you (on your screen) the higher the demand. So in the end a benchmark would not be of much use. As for minimum specs, if there will be anything mentioned, it will still be dependant by the people near you.

A better pitch would have been if you could test it on multiple platforms. For example, I have a Linux machine, so due to the relative lack of testers, I am more likely (statistically) of getting in.

Well, some people might get notified a bit earlier than two weeks, as I'm sure they won't tell all of those people the DAY OF RELEASE.

Oh, oops - I skipped a week. The release is on the 12th, the notifications will probably come on the 5th or 6th.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! I found out about this game the same day I discovered that wonderful thing called My Little Pony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLLLLLLLLEASE choose me I have been waiting for this game to come out for years!!!!!!!!

Don't worry! Even if you don't get chosen, the next phases will come out pretty quickly, at least in comparison.

I still hope you make it in this one, though! Good luck!  X3

Or I'm wrong and that's exactly what they're going to do.

Also, there is a good chance that they'll also notify us via email as well. After all, each of our forum accounts has an email address associated with it that they can use. At least, it would be smart of them to use it.

Could mean you ONLY get informed at all if you got selected...  :s
Could mean you get informed not today but within the next days...  :P

1. Possibly. I hope not.

2. Most likely. They said they would REVIEW the applications after today, not make a decision. And while I refrained from writing a five-paragraph essay, I'm sure that many other people poured their heart into their application. It might take up to a week to make an informed decision.

Hello you two, thank you for your replies.

Firstly, allow me to apologize for what seems to be a lack of information, so close to the Limited Access Release. We know how excited you guys are, just as we are!

However, the silence does not mean that there have been any problems or the like. We are still finalizing the applications, and will update all of you when everything goes live. We want to make sure it all goes smoothly, after all. If there were any difficulties of notable nature, we would inform you, so no need to worry.

If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, message me, reply here, or email [email protected].

Have a blessed weekend both of you!

Thank you very much. I thought so, but I had to make sure, just in case.

I don't want to rush any of you, but I am a bit worried. It's already November, and the release is supposed to be in December. You said it would be right around the corner, but... it's almost halfway to (intended) release.

Did something go wrong? Were there just a bit more technical problems to sort out first?

I'm perfectly okay with waiting, but it was just a bit worrying without any updates or news about something so major.

Again, you guys are amazing, and I definitely don't want to sound impatient. I'm just a bit worried that something could have gone wrong. After all, the most dangerous time for fan games of this scope is right before release.

I know right, breaking things is simply ... fun. As long as you don't go too far. ;)

Yes, I always love to find those places rarely tested by the programmers, just to see what I can mess with. I remember back in one of the previous open server events that there was a blocked-off portion of the Everfree (Evershade) forest that led to the ruins of the Castle of the Two Sisters (not fully recreated, but it had the Elements there)

I still managed to find a way past the invisible barrier.

Well, it was more of a "find my way through the ground o a nearby hill that has more polygons"

I find myself checking the website almost twice a day, hoping that you released the application yet.

I'm definitely going to apply. I use Linux, so I want to make sure that they can find out the bugs a lot faster. Most games, even professional ones, have a buggy Linux release.
