Just saw the new episode, Discord a good guy? doesn't fit... what's next reforming Queen Crysllis and King Sombra?  they are taking the Nightmare Moon into Princess Luna change too far and trying to make all the villians into good.

This is probably my least favorite episode not only of the season, but of the whole series. I don't get why they threw Spike's character like that. He normally looks so organized and tidy. Why did he flub all his chores for AJ? Pinkie didn't even seem right, what with the mustache jokes and whatnot. I hope the next Spike episode in a month is better then this one. I don't think it can get worse.

that's because this is one of those redone episodes from generation 1. they rewrote it to fit generation 4 by adding the timber wolves instead and they don't have Megan of course so they substituted AJ as the one saving Spikes life. Yeah tho its an old story from the 1980's that made Spike a clumsy mess (the 80's Spike was clumsy)

Spike seems to have taken lessons in failure from the CMC. He messed everything up... and he never hardly messed up for Twilight.... me thinks that Twilight used magic to make Spike not clumsy.

I really liked this episode. I don't have a favorite pony, so I like each pony equally. We finally got to hear Applejack sing her own song, and I like that the shooting stars represented Applejack's parents.[/b] We also got a bit more insight on the Apple tradition too.

But what really made me like this episode the most is that I can relate some things to it. Everyone must've at least been to reunion or something and seen their relatives.

Someone went on Twitter and asked a person who helps in making the show if the shooting stars represented her parents, and they said yes.

I actually think they might just be away and too busy to go to reunions or come home very often, considering Applejack said "Busy as everypony's lives are gettin' these days" after she looked at the shooting stars.


It was Sibsy they ask, she's the storyboard artist that confirmed it.  the next day in the Everfree radio broadcast Lauren Faust also said when she wrote AJ she envisioned that her parents was dead.

Lyra and Bon-bon aren't a couple they are best friends and possible room mates. Think of them like the mane 6 are friends they hang out with each other all the time.  Bon-bon has been seen many times in the series without Lyra, like when she was blocking Fluttershy's path on the bridge and Lyra in the Canterlot wedding was a brides made without Bon-bon.
