Yes, you could heal your pokémon. And there isn't a leveling system.
So it's going to be a bit like the anime? and also, to sign up, you'd need to list your starter, their moves and personality at least.
I've already started it and it's going well so far. You can sign up if you want. And although generally you would want to be a pokémon and a trainer, you have the option of being just one or the other.
