Hi, everypony!
It's been a little while since we announced that Legends of Equestria had progressed to the point that we were now looking at December this year for a 'limited access release'. At the time, we said we'd go into exactly what that 'limited release' would mean soon. Well, would you look at the time; it's Go-Into-That O'Clock! I'm going to give you all more details on what exactly we mean by 'limited Access release', and how you (yes, you!) can apply in the coming weeks. It's a lot, but please stick with me on it; there will be socks for those who do!
It takes a lot of time and effort to make a game on a scale like this, especially with an all-volunteer team - and we should know! For over five years, our dedicated development team has been working hard to get the game to the state it's at today, and we're still committed to improving the entire game going forward - but we can't do that alone. There are loads of things being worked on that just need more input, to make sure that the game will handle the number of players we've seen in the past without stuttering, and that every single one of them has the best experience possible.
It's with that in mind that we've planned out the 'limited access release' of Legends of Equestria. This first phase of release doesn't, however, mean that the game will be fully open and available to play for everyone, right from the start; we want to make sure that everything is built to cope before we throw the gates open and welcome the stampede with open hooves! It will mean us making the game available for permanent play, rather than having our occasional, weekend-long Open Server Events, for a smaller number of people to begin with.
What we're planning, then, is a staggered release. This means that, though the game will be online and available, only a limited number of players will be given access to begin with. The first phase of this will involve a small number of players, in the hundreds most likely, which will allow us to get a great pool of information, as well as test out our systems and (hopefully!) flatten all the bugs we can find. Then, the next 'phase' would introduce a larger number of players, to help us build on the first phase and test out more complicated features and systems.
That's why we've called this a 'limited access release'; a limited number of people will experience the game in what we'd consider an unfinished state, to help us work on the game more, improve the systems we've got in play, and of course have fun themselves! It should be noted, though, that this programme is primarily meant to improve Legends of Equestria's gameplay, find bugs, and generally prepare the world of Equestria for a larger, full release. This early access to LoE isn't meant for passively experiencing and enjoying the game (though we'd obviously hope that you do!); as an early experience player, we'd want as much information as possible about your experience of the game, so that the team can determine what needs to be changed or refined. This would generally mean things like submitting bug tickets, providing written recommendations, and generally pointing out what aspects of LoE's user experience you think could be improved!
If that sounds like something you'd be interested in - an early look at the permanent world of Equestria, with the goal of helping us making it the best it possibly can be - then great! You're the exact kind of person we're looking for. In the next couple of weeks, we'll be announcing that applications are open for the limited access release; this will be in the form of something like a questionnaire or survey that'll let us gather things like your system specifications, experience with similar early releases of games, and interest in improving the game. Based on that, we'll select a pool of players to be the first to experience Equestria in its permanent state, and help us get it ready for everyone else!
If you aren't selected at this early stage, there's no need to panic; as I said earlier, once we reach the goals of this first phase we'll be opening up access to more and more players in a staggered release over the coming weeks and months, leading into the full release of the game.
Phew, that was a lot of reading! Just to recap the important stuff (or for those of you who just want a
TL;DR summary):
- The 'limited access release' is a staggered system designed for widespread testing before the full availability of the game. During this phase of the game's release, we're interested mainly in getting feedback about features, getting in bug report tickets, etc.!
st]
- As we progress with the final touches for the game, the access pool will get wider and wider, leading into the full open release of the game - so if you don't get in at this early stage, don't worry; there'll be plenty more opportunities!
st]
- We will open applications for the limited access release in the next few weeks; keep an eye on our posts to see it when it's up!
st]
- Thanks for reading this far down! As a reward, here's a super-exciting new thing we've just added to the game: colour-customisable socks. You're so welcome.

This is a super exciting moment for us; we've been building up the world of Equestria for years now, and we've finally reached the point where we're confident enough to keep the game online for players while we work on it. We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who's helped us, supported us, and enjoyed what we've done so far. Nobody's more eager to get the game out and available to everyone than us, and with your help we can make sure that we make Equestria great for everypony.
Thanks for your time, everypony! Keep an eye out for the limited access release application over the next couple of weeks, and get ready to pony up and party on!
wooo! :D
I'm definitely applying! As a Mac user, i'd like to be able to help input into the game ^^ since Mac has had a few problems in the past Lol
Looks like I came by at the perfect time. I want to not only enjoy the game whenever I want, but to also help better the game in any way I can.
Any info when the signup is due or what is the process to get to the limited access team?

We're still setting up the systems for the limited access and applications for it, so it's going to depend on when that's all ready; as was put in the OP, it'll be at some point in the next few weeks, but we can't really narrow it down closer than that!
The process will involve an application form that gives us a little bit of detail about you - what system/operating system you run on, any experience with game testing, etc - and based on that, we'll be selecting people to make sure we get as wide a net of systems running the game as possible!
I can't wait! Great work everybody in the development team. I love you all! You are so dedicated giving so much for nothing in return. I'd love to give something for all your work but sadly lawyers exist solely to ruin everything good.
I'd love to get in on this action. Looking forward to applying.
Can't wait! I already have found some minor bugs in the last open server weekend but I didn't know how to directly report the bugs to devs. If I get the chance to test the game I will look onto them again and see if the devs haven't noticed the bugs.
Oh, so it's basically a closed beta (or in this case, closed alpha) test? Awesome! :D Those are great, and I'd love the opportunity to make the game better! Here's hoping I'll get in! *hooves crossed* 0:)
I´d like to help to make the game better and provide feedback :) this game is great!
I´m definitely going to apply too :)
Well then.
I'll certainly start pre-writing an application.
Not trying to sell myself as the most great and powerful person here, but I do have quite a wide variety of test systems and experience in alphas and beta's. :/
Let's give it a shot then.
Choooose meeeeee!
Oh i so want to be a part of the first limited release! it would be so awesome! if i were to be selected this would probably be the game i play every day for a while!! :D <3
I'd love to help out and give feedback now that it's a bit closer to release. That said I feel those who have been a part of the community the longest and who have been most active should get first dibs. :)

Ditto! I'd wanna test each mission, even if I have to make an Earth Pony & a Unicorn OC accordingly, to see if they're up to snuff! As a Microsoft Windows user, should I detect any crashings of any variety, I shall report!
I too would report on unable-to-progress/start scenarios because it'd means I or we can't clear the missions that are tasked before us & it'd not be fun for everyone.

Some feedback fodder for thought: From my first plays at open server events, I really enjoyed that I can fly with just my arrow keys (turning myself around in horizontal 360 spin), but with the new strafing system presumably, I can't do that anymore. but only fly forwards & backwards, & must always rely on my mouse & forward/reverse arrow keys. Speaking of the camera system, ever since my first jump into Legends of Equestria, why would the camera jerk downwards when I navigate forward, upwards when I navigate backwards, & turns the opposite direction whenever I turn left or right (come tread or fly)? This would be a common problem with me, when I'm not manually using my mouse to direct the camera back behind me or around me, like any other third-person game, albeit this be my first MMO to play. I'd oughta keep my own camera locked behind me by placing it on the action commands. I'd suggest for the camera system to work like those original Spyro trilogy titles, or Ratchet & Clank. As for the combat, previously on Legends of Equestria, I CAN'T USE MY FLYING ATTACKS. Please make use of them or anything to make them work, & bring back Gale, or is Gale renamed or removed altogether?
Oh yeah, about the navigation since about two servers ago, after configuring my movements, I was about to embark my reoccurring journey, however it seemed the the configurating interface lied to me. Presumably it seems you've misspelled any directional button placements ever since strafing was introduced. Now my right & left buttons were aileron rolls. Took me some more time to adjust through the scrambled configured navigations again to go explore, fight mobs, fly high like I normally do.

P.S.: I've been clipping underground, locked in the silence. 'Til I flew up to the surface, into a world full of violence (mobs). ~ This has been a true metaphor from my recent OSE, & a Parody to Heaven-Piercing Giga Drill. Thank You.
Might have to put in an app for this. Could be fun, and I've alpha and beta tested a few games before.
I will for sure be putting in an app! Been following this game for yonks!
Sooooo close, wonder how many of you I'll see this December :D
This is so exciting!! It's been a long time coming, but I'm sure with this new stream of feedback and help from other players, the game will progress faster than ever! (At least that's my guess)

Can't wait for the application to be released!
:D Ever since the panel at MWBF 2016 I have been waiting for this for months. This will be so awesome!
Woo hoo!I can't wait,I've always enjoyed this game for years, and I can't wait to help out with fixing all the bugs! It'll be a great experience for me when I start into game animation and animation in general! All aboard the hype train! ^-^
Oooo, I think I might try my hand at applying! :D
Of course, my studies have started and I'll probably get busy, though if I had the chance to play/test the game, I'd (try to) set aside some free time to explore it, report bugs, give feedback and just enjoy the game in overall.
That being said though, I never really had early access experience except for one revamped site (I had to have a code to be able to register before it was opened to the public though, so I dunno if that would count), and I'm not sure if having little to no experience with such would affect my (or anyone's) potential application.
Either way, good luck to everyone who applies!¨:)
I have been waiting for this announcement for years ( at least it felt like years X3 ) and now it´s finally here. :D
I only had the chance to participate in the last 2 open server events ( well I am only a brony since then ) and didn´t play as much because I actually didn´t know what to do :P . I just grinded some lvl spoke to some people and roamed around exploring the world.
I hope ( like everybody else :P ) to get into the closed alpha ( I guess maybe beta :P ) to finally explore some of the quests and dig a little bit deeper into the game... and there is plenty of feedback where I am lol I pretty much always have ideas for improvement and searching for bugs is kind of my hobby though I mainly try to find ways to get out of bounds. I kinda have the feeling that getting out of bounds won´t be possible in this game X3 . I always have improvement ideas for all kinds of games but usually when there is some big company behind the game there is pretty much no chance they even bother to listen to ideas form some random people. In this game I might actually get the chance to suggest something :3 .
That is awesome! I can't wait to read the whole text! ( i didnt read the whole of it x3)
Hey you guys at the team are awesome! You made a GAME! I can`t wait! I just wanted to say thank you. You made a game for other ponys. that's more than I have done. I want to join the team.
Oh my goodness, I'm so excited! Reading this post makes me so hyped for LoE's limited access, and I hope i can get a spot! ^-^
This game has never failed to amaze me, and wow, color-customizable socks? I can't wait! :D
Limited access release. *heavy breathing*
But i can wait until the sign up forms are out. This will be my chance to help out. If my schedule doesnt effect anything :P
Ahh, so exciting! Fingers (or hooves.) crossed I get in! :D ^ ^
I'll definitely put in an application for December. Now that I got a Wi-Fi range extender, I'll be able to test the game on my old HP Pavillion from 2010 in addition to my aging laptop and my current HP Envy, which had a graphics card installed last week.
I will be honest as much as I would LOVE to be a part of this, I would absolutely be a BAD choice for this. While I have beta'ed in the past for Star Trek Online, I am more of a person for testing stress levels than for bugs. I have found a few bugs before, but I am not built for it. Sorry, and good luck!
It finally happens! Much as most others in the team were working on the game for years, I was watching it grow for years myself while playing it!
Seeing it really come so far warms my heart. <3 I hope I get to meet many ponies I know once the servers are open! 0:)
FINALLY :D
OMG! OMG! OMG! The applications are comming! :D
Time to keep a closer look on the site's announcements, and I mean closer!

So the best luck for everyone!!! :D
when i was little, I played Spyro Ripto's rage and found ways to glitch in certain levels into areas that you shouldn't be able to get to. can't wait to start looking for glitches in this game.
HOOORAAAY!! THIS IS GONNA BE SUPER-DUPER AWESOME!! :D
Their certain to get alot of Apps from alot of ponies, me included who want to help with the game and get it in shape for release as soon as possible :]
Excellent news guys! Really looking forward to this! :3
Definately looking forward to this. I've played the game for the last 7 or so releases, so it'd be great to become one of the permanent play-testers ^-^. Bug reporting can occasionally be awesome if you find ridiculous bugs.
Its time... :o
Eeeeeeeeeee can't wait!
Hi everypony !
I'm a young Brony and i would like to be active in this movement.
So if i can participe to the developement of this huge game with feedback i wish i could be in the party.
I would see the questionnaire as if I'm the type of person you are looking for. ;)
So what happens if Hasbro files a copyright claim? Is LoE different enough from MLP:FIM that you guys can claim you've made an MMORPG that's in the pony genre, but you're not specifically trying to capture Hasbro's fans?
If a claim does come, will you have to overhaul the esthetics or will 5 years worth of work go out the window?
I don't mean to be a Negative Nelly here, but as the deadline for release draws near, I've gotten a little worried. I've seen what happened to totally original fan projects like Button's Adventures.
I mean... if it's a choice between no LoE at all and LoE under a different name with all the characters looking like this:

I'll take the 'Legends of Horse Land' and lumpy...monstrous characters.

Not sure if you'll be doing this already, but, for the survey, I'd recommend giving applicants the option to submit specs for multiple systems that they'd be able to play on. I have about 5 machines with 3 OSes I'd like to test it on (plus 2 or 3 Linux distros I'm familiar with).
I'll definitely apply!

We aren't using or referencing any products or copyrighted/trademarked materials from any other party in this project, or using them for marketing/profit; as such, there are no grounds for any company to file a copyright claim.
May I ask something real quick, how long will the form be open for? I have a tendency to not always catch website notifications here. It'll also be sure to go out to the notification service, right?
Awesome, i've got bunches of different hardware i'd love to help try the game on. X3

Well, if Hasbro had something to say, the would have already said it. The names of the towns had to be changed. No "Official" characters are in there, or there are but with subtle changes. That shouldn't be a problem.
Of course it's OK to be careful ^^
Post Merge
If only the price for the Mane contest was the access to the closed testing...^^
Well, I'll be waiting for the applications ^^
:D
Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh
I have a slow connection to the Internet. If this is not a problem, it is very good.
Thank you for the game!
I haven't reported much bugs, mostly because I still see them not fixed over the years and developers told to not send the same bugs (even through they couldn't fix even the simple bugs that many peoples have reported multiple times :facehoof: ). But I might just try again and go for a rampage and send big list of all bugs that I knew in hopes that this time they will be noticed -.-
*Sounds of the hype train can be heard in the distance*

Due to the fact that Legends of Equestria is an MMO, a fairly quick, stable Internet Connection would be good to have, especially if you are considering applying for a slot in testing, as we need the testers to actually be able to test the game. A slow connection does not necessarily mean you cannot apply and be accepted, but you need to at least know that you will be able to actually get on and test.
UltraHype-Train incoming!
Looking forward to get into one of the first batches.
And hopefully anypony will be able to visit the castle in Evershade when release will be completed.
Oh! So it can't wait! I hope, will carry. All of good luck!
Can't wait! I would play the game every day looking for bugs, doing quests, etc. It sounds amaizng!! :D

Hurray, a fellow user of the superior Operating System!
To quell your worry, the Linux Versions have been remarkable time after time, and the Windows Version under Wine works just as well. I would not worry about problems on that front.
AWESOME! I really hope to get in, since my main computer is a Mac- It's always nice to be able to help with reporting problems that YOU can't find, considering you don't use the OS that has the problems. Perks of being a Mac user! Well, i'm super hopeful to get in early. I think a nice priority would be to get as many Mac and Linux users in as possible- It should be even, so that problems can be reported to help fix other Operating Systems, but since there's no way to control that, i guess it's just a "Hope for the best" thing. Either way, super pumped, i can't wait to get into the game later on. Maybe i'll be able to find out what the hell you're supposed to start off with. (From what i've previously gathered, until a story and Quest-lines are put in place to advance the story, i guess it's more of a social thing? Idk) Well, i will indeed have fun, no matter when i get in. Fingers crossed it'll still be in 2016!
So, in a nutshell, we need to try and break the game?
I am ready! ovO
Hey, Quick suggestion!
You know the game sulphur nimubs? right?
Well, I just wanted to say that, the tail and the mane in LoE goes crasy all the time when you move fast! And it honestly just looks like flan the other time!
So, say, what about you guys ask whoever does this game to actually help you with the tail/mane physics? Because I seriously can't stand the tail's random spazzing! It's like KSP's kraken... But all the time!
But hey, it's not that urgent, but I'm pretty sure it'll be quite quick to be fixed! (Honestly... This guy is godlike in 3D animation, go ask him! I'm sure he'll accept for free!)

Hey Fleetfoot,
We appreciate your excitement, and your praise for our project and team. We want to deliver the best we can for all players, so that they can experience the game.
On that note, we will never have any sort of monetary transactions from the players to us, for any reason, due to the legalities associated with it. All in-game items will be able to be earned solely through the playing of the game, and the completion of quests.
Have a blessed weekend, and we thank you again!
Things are indeed getting most close now very exciting. and just as there doing so others have been making just as big an effort in preparation for these events. such as the development and setting up of EqU's very own CMS (pony owned and operated social network dedicated to the well known likes interests and themes of rpers that are mainly in this area). with blogs forums chats story/fic's pic/art/gif/video/music features including albums multiple char profiles for those with more than one char. "What is this madness" discord servers for both coms and normal chats and for rping in public and privet rooms alike. and are planning to be open for business and fun hopefully in time so not only will there be LoE awesomeness huzzah! but there will also be a very close and dedicated herd/community here to welcome help and provide a wonderful environment and community orientated herd. (for all that wish to and as a side note hehe we are always happy to talk to and welcome ones that wish to help out in one of the many areas and help make everything as good and action/fun packed and entertaining for all). so again woohoo for LoE awesomeness such a strong and committed effort as always thank you. and don't forget to take a look in the forums under herds if you are looking for a supportive like minded group to make friends to learn and have support from fellow ponies members and RPers alike. and never forget to pony pony pony 130% thank you again.

Great idea, I have 3 different machines with 3 different OS-es and also a bunch of virtual machines. I'd be happy if they allowed applications with multiple systems!
This, posted about nine days ago. I got to check in more often. :P
I am one with a limited internet connection, as in I have a data limit of about 10GB per month. But I do at times log in for free at a local country store for about five hours on the weekends.
This should be fun to try, and see what input I can give about it. If I do get in, it would be my vary first time, for I missed every other opening opportunity available up to now. So, I have not once tried this. ovO
Well, here is to hoping that I get the chance this time. I just need to check in a bit more often to find out when and if I can get myself on this limited list of test players this time. :o
If I can, see you all there. ^-^
As for what I have, I have a basic Toshiba laptop, running windows 8.1 64 bit.. It has an Intel i7-4700MQ. 16 GB of RAM. For graphics, ruining a Nvidia GeForce GT 740M, and Intell HD Graphics 4600. It is not a power PC, nor VR ready for such as the Vive and Rift, but it can handle many a 3D games, just fine. I have been able to play The first Crysis with little to no lag while having many of the setting set to medium.
I run many a 3D development software on this thing of mine as well. Software such as LightWave 3D 11.6. ZBrush 4R7. 3D Coat V4. And currently Unity 5.4.1. Each with little to no problems.
I am also currently using much of that for trying my hand at some Gear VR app development. Mostly with the help of Unity ,LightWave, ZBrush, and XNormal. Mostly for any first person, and even some third person movement in a gaming environment.
I have some success in it so far, and in time I may have a demo ready for some to try, available in the Sideload app site for Gear VR content outside of the Oculus app store.
This is all so exciting! :D

This, posted about nine days ago. I got to check in more often. [emoji14]

Feel free to apply once the applications open! I am glad you are excited!
This is very exciting news. :3
...... :/
I see....
Ah, the catch to playing the game early... :/ a good one, for sure! Unfortunately, I lack the much-needed confidence in my abilities to be able to help in this endeavor. That, and I have a lot of friends who are waiting for the full release... so I'll wait patiently for the game to come out for everypony. From the ponies waiting, to the ponies that do get in:
We're counting on you to tackle those bugs and glitches! May you find as many as you can as swiftly as possible, so that the full release will come sooner! Best of luck to all of you! :D
Oh my Gosh! Oh my Gosh! Oh my Gosh!, :3 I mean ahem, I will do my best to be worthy of such an honor to play a dream turned to reality created by such dedicated, loving, and kind ponies. I just hope I can repay all the sweat, tears, and DETERMINATION they have all given to us.
May Faust watch over us and May we meet her in the Elysian fields.
P.S Will they be adding a voice chat system like Ark Survival, it is when you push like the {B} key you can do voice chat to nearby ponies and as you go farther away from them, your voice becomes faint until you are inaudible to them.
I would also recommend more role playing interactions such as cooking, fishing, and setting up the table so you and your friends can eat together with all the food and ingredients you gathered, singing along the campfires dancing and having a wonderful time together with friends.

Hey MarinerAce!
Voice Chat has been a requested feature since the earlier years of LoE's Development. At that point, we said that such functionality is not feasible, given the fact that we are a volunteer project, with more limited resources than big companies. This has remained unchanged, as far as I am aware.
Regarding the second, we are not actively taking requests, but they are occasionally looked at and discussed. I cannot promise you that yours will be, but we thank you for it nonetheless!
If you have any other questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to message me, or email

Have a blessed week!
Ohmygosh, ohmygosh, ohmygosh, ohmygosh, ohmygosh, ohmygoooosh! I can't wait for this!
That moment when you're degrading laptop breaks before you can join in on something awesome like this.
Why cruel world, WHY!? DX
I honestly can't wait myself! I originally saw this post on the day it came out. I've been visiting the website every single day since the last server open weekend came to a close which was way back in July. I honestly can't wait.
This game will probably be the only thing I play for awhile. I've gotten bored with Call of Duty and other games except Need For Speed on PS4. But other than that, I look forward to applying! I played closed BETA for World of Tanks back in 2010 and played World of Warships open beta during its final testing.
I also look forward into helping with this games production further as I have a set goal for the LoE Moderation Team. To be one of them one of these days. Someday.
I've followed LoE since Pre-Alpha and the stress test. Which was years ago. Long time.
When applications open, I'll definitely be applying right away!
Just for a side note here, I do wish there would be a integrated voice chat system like what World of Tanks has or what Call of Duty has. However, Unity 3D is completely incapable of doing so. I could be wrong, but the amount of coding it would take and the cost of maintaining those codes to stay in their proper positions would be an extreme hassle I presume.
I would just stick with like Teamspeak 3, Mumble, Discord, etc.
Which once the limited access release, I will likely open my Teamspeak 3 server to those that want to hang out and play LOE on that are able to play the limited access release which is basically closed beta for final testing. But many of you I assume will have their own servers probably, but I'd still offer to help the community for a place to hang out and have a good time playing the game doing the quests and stuff.
Wrapping this up, I'll still be checking out for the applications to be opened and I pray to Celestia that I will be chosen.
Cheers to all you fillies and gentlecolts!

It's more about the amount of data flowing through the servers. Games with voice chat require pretty rad hardware.
I've been waiting for this day (aria) to come.
I've been following LoE since before they were forced to change the names of the towns and got the go-ahead to continue as long as they don't use the names of characters and towns in the actual show. I hope I can get my application in and accepted for first-run of this game.
I would love to apply for this. I am one of the many mac users that would like this opportunity.
I find myself checking the website almost twice a day, hoping that you released the application yet.
Can't Wait! :D

I have a question. Will the levels and items we earned in the past still be there the next time we log on?
So exciting!!! I've been watching this game since '14 and im ready to try it again

Hey Skygem!
Like with all past events, your account will be reset, and you will have to create a new pony. This is due to needing to test from the initial creation and beyond, so we can ensure quality throughout the whole game.
I am happy your excited, and if you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, send me a message, or email

I'm so excited. I can't wait, I love bugtesting and I can help make the mac release better :D
Ooooooh, I'm excited. I want to be in on this.
...I have a fairly severely customised Linux install. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find and submit some bugs.
Mainly, I just want to play, but I certainly know a thing or two about poking around and trying to break things, so I should be able to provide useful reports...

I know right, breaking things is simply ... fun. As long as you don't go too far. ;)

Yes, I always love to find those places rarely tested by the programmers, just to see what I can mess with. I remember back in one of the previous open server events that there was a blocked-off portion of the Everfree (Evershade) forest that led to the ruins of the Castle of the Two Sisters (not fully recreated, but it had the Elements there)
I still managed to find a way past the invisible barrier.
Well, it was more of a "find my way through the ground o a nearby hill that has more polygons"

'Except I come back around the next day & so to check up on any notifying updates...
I don't want to rush any of you, but I am a bit worried. It's already November, and the release is supposed to be in December. You said it would be right around the corner, but... it's almost halfway to (intended) release.
Did something go wrong? Were there just a bit more technical problems to sort out first?
I'm perfectly okay with waiting, but it was just a bit worrying without any updates or news about something so major.
Again, you guys are amazing, and I definitely don't want to sound impatient. I'm just a bit worried that something could have gone wrong. After all, the most dangerous time for fan games of this scope is right before release.

But it's got me concerned as well.

Hello you two, thank you for your replies.
Firstly, allow me to apologize for what seems to be a lack of information, so close to the Limited Access Release. We know how excited you guys are, just as we are!
However, the silence does not mean that there have been any problems or the like. We are still finalizing the applications, and will update all of you when everything goes live. We want to make sure it all goes smoothly, after all. If there were any difficulties of notable nature, we would inform you, so no need to worry.
If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, message me, reply here, or email
[email protected].
Have a blessed weekend both of you!

We're all pretty aware of when the date of the Limited Access Release is. Otherwise there would be no reason to worry since it's so close to the intended date.
Not that I was worried. I expected things wouldn't be done that quickly. And by things, I mean the applications. They just have to make sure everything is all good and well with the applications before they can start having people apply. I'm sure they aren't dawdling, either.

I still hope you make it in this one, though! Good luck! X3

Everything on the form was considered heavily, but four main factors overall, if I recall correctly, were age, location, prior experience, and moderator opinion.
The last one I can definitely attest to, the other three are if I recall correctly.

Well to be honest not for a while still, wave 2 of new LAR testers hasn't even happened yet, and there is still lots of things to be implemented, fixed, and improved.

Yes, new sign ups will come eventually. Just keep an eye on the site for they will make an announcement there when they are ready to take in a new wave of players for beta testing. :)

Well, first of all, they would be working with you for many months, and they do not want to work with a jerk.
Additionally, they want to see how dedicated you are to the project, perhaps close to how much they are.
They don't want people that just want to play the game early, no matter their training. They want someone dedicated to their cause and someone willing to work for free.
They want to know you for the same reason that prospective employers want to get to know you before they hire you, instead of just hiring you based on your resume. The only difference here is that it is not a paying job.
