Open Server Weekend August 8th-10th!

I just found out about this game today! I'm so excited!    I saw some videos on Youtube. It looks so cool! Just the mlp game I've dreamed of! Yay! Can't wait till august

i wanna know this is the event only availible to only people that have access or is it open to the entire public?

The OSW makes the game available to the public from the 8th-10th of August.  A download for the client will be given around the time before the servers open, and servers will close after the 10th so they can resume development

Do you have to make new characters? Or are the characters you made still there?

Im pretty sure you will have to make new characters. usually after stress test all the ponies that were created are wiped because old ponies will glitch with the new version of the game because of things being added / changed

To expand on what Sleuth stated, which is correct, as the database would get wiped after every test, you can make your pony in the Pony creator in the media section on the front page and save the ponycode.  Unless there is an update you should be able to use that ponycode to save your oc

I just tested my codes from the osw before the last one(January's) and the one before that and they both still work.

I have my character ready to be imported. The only thing I have to acquire my characters items all over again. But at least I can do it quickly, by earning bits.
