Am I the only one who thinks Suicune's animations in Pokken seem to be pretty choppy and underwhelming?

They look fairly fine to me, though if you mean when playing local multiplayer then yeah, that might happen with all of them since framerate is halved when playing with another person on the same console since it has to render two screens at once, the main and the tablet, mostly due to the assymetric viewpoint of the players.

that's a bizarre decision, maybe america's branch of Nintendo just didn't have the effort to put out the demo, it's pretty common knowledge it's been lazy on a lot of things, including translations.

Well I do have the internet connection. I checked the eShop on my wii-u and there's no demo there. It's only a full retail download so the demo is available for EU only.

I believe that certain demos for pokemon games are specifically for that region only so apparently my only best bet to play the demo is just play it at target or best buy. Well hopefully if they have the demo at the station.

Really? That's really strange. Checked the main game's store page? There SHOULD be a demo button there, if there isn't one then  it's just some strange thing about not giving you the demo, which is really weird and doesn't make sense.

I don't think I can download the demo from eShop. Usually the pokken demo can be played at certain stores like target and best buy.

Oh, don't have the internet connection for it then? Shame.

You can also get a demo downloaded through Eshop, it's pretty small too so it's pretty quick to download unless you have horrible internet.
6
Okay great, that makes sense, also means you don't have to worry about bringing underleveled characters to online.
7
Haven't encountered a way to do that so I assume it's probably not in the game, for the moment anyways. You'd think Shiny variants would be easy to put in, though then again some shiny colour palettes are... not good to say it lightly.

TBH, I actually find Machamp's to be the weakest (appearance wise). Just punch punch and more punches made out of punches. I'm more of the "blast magic and lasers everywhere" person.

Yeah his attacks are probably some of the most ordinary, but wow do they pack a punch. Have you seen the entrance where he bounces what looks like two cannonballs on his front arms like nothing? When he drops them and they practically crater the ground that pretty much demonstrates how absurdly strong he is.

Oh and did you notice? His Synergy burst literally hits 1000 times.

Did you not put in enough Defense points? Reduces damage from attacks a bit. Though to be fair that spinning throw was actually a move I can do, must've been pretty shocking to see it take off almost as much as your Synergy Burst by itself.

Edit: Oh and how did it feel to be on the reciever end of my Synergy Burst? It's pretty epic in my opinion.

Heh, it might be the levelups, I have 10 points in attack so while you do a lot of damage keeping me at distance I also do a truckload of damage once I close the distance, as demonstrated by the 140+ damage grab I did on you, I hit pretty hard.

Heh, looks like Braxien is one of the worse opponents a Machamp can have, pretty annoying.

Hmm, does levels affect the online? Gotta check that.

So, I'm probably going to regret this with my (lack of) skill at fighting games, but does anyone want a match?

I'm not very experienced in fighting games, though I'd love to have a go.

Well you wanna practice in pokken before you do some real battles. Usually Practicing is the only to get started and know your combos.

I feared there would be rage quitters in pokken, but this time there will be penalties for that kind of action. Here's the article that i picked up from one of the FB posts. It's not gonna be like SSB's penalties.

Combos aren't everything though, you also have to know how to close the distance or make some as you need it, along with being able to figure out what to use and when, heck you don't even really need to use combos all that much outside the regular button-mash ones if you're good at reading your opponent.

I can't help but like Machamp, and sure, the CPUs in the game are chumps and not really comparable to humans but Machamp's still a beast in offense, and his finisher, oh my god that finisher is amazing.

I just can't get over how awkward the english dialogue sounds in the demo, it just sounds so... meh.

I'm pretty much switching over to japanese dialogue the moment I'm able to, this game pretty much has the problem all english dubs of anime do, the english voices just don't have as much of an impact as the japanese ones when it comes to the emotion and sound.

Why is it 10 year old kids always sound like they're using a candlestick phone from the 20s as a mic?

Would you buy a good, significantly more expensive microphone for an overly agressive 10 year old who incessantly pulls and tugs on wires and even throws his/her headphones in some cases? No, you'd buy cheap ones.

Someone I ran across on youtube seems to think that because it is not explicitly shown in the trailers for the newest smash bros game it means that the fighters being trophies is retconned out, despite several modes in the game still representing fighters as trophies AND the fact that there's assist trophies, all of which spawn characters that could just as well have actually been in the game itself.

Gosh.... wish we could all just speak one lang :/
what if the translator was made for basic stuff only though?

Then it just plain wouldn't be useful for most people.

Out of all the things that have been invented not one voice translator yet... is anyone even planning to do this and will they make it without the use of cell phones :l?

The problem with voice-based translators is not only the massive amount of languages that would need to be programmed for, you'd also need to do it for all the special dialects of said languages, and considering there's already a few hundred languages at the very least, well, you could basically multiply that number by 100 or so and you would get roughly the amount of work that would be needed for a voice translator that doesn't go "Uuuh, what did you say again?" whenever you speak even slightly unclearly or with a strange dialect.

Last year it was PS4 and Xbox, and now it seems that Steam's been hacked.
Some people just love making other miserable...
Also, on a slightly differant topic, one of my favourite youtubers made a quote I completely agree with concering all the disappointing/unfinished games this year.
"I think I'll look back on 2015 as the year where game developers tried to get away with stupid moves and people noticed.".

Steam wasn't hacked, it was code going completely ballistic, I thought that was common knowledge by now, apparently not. And yeah, the game industry's been bad on many counts this year, lets hope they don't earn even more black marks.
