We all know the first episode has a mane villian what do you think its going to be?

I know it still seems a little outlandish, but a season 3 opener with Chrysalis working with Discord after freeing him. I also just came up with the idea of a cool plot where both celestia and luna lose their alicorn status by a villain and one becomes a plain pegasus while the other, a unicorn. The results would be that they would have to team up with mane 6 to retake the throne and return to alicorns while at the same time, learning about the true meanings of the elements of harmony.

It would be so awesome  :3

already some are calling celly an incompetent ruler, from her absolute failure during the changeling episode.  And don't even get me started on luna.  Nerfing them AGAIN? Not a good idea.

Since we know John De Lancie is returning as Discord, it's possible that he will be the main villain in the first episode or two. But I have a feeling that when he makes his appearance, it will be a historic episode involving Celestia and Luna.

we know John De Lancie is going to be in season 3 yes, but we have no confirmation if Discord is coming back. for all we know he could be another villain this time.

What about ogres? Wehaven't seen them in Equestria yet

Perhaps there won't be a completely new mane villain. My theory is that they could to a face-heel turn type of scenario, where one of the mane 6 becomes the villain. ... Just a thought.

It's called Fallout:Equestria.

A mare wearing a cloak that would "help" the mane six find things to defeat a villain who has taken over Ponyville, and is making Ponyville her empire and is about to try to attack Canterlot. The things they need are scattered everywhere, and almost lose each other in the process. They finally get all the items, and give it to the mare. But turns out, the mare, which is part dragon, reaveals that she is  actually the villain.

End of Part 1.

The pony says that she was using the mane six to find items that would help her take Canterlot. She imprisons them somewhere in the Everfree. The mane six then begin to fight about who had trusted her and gotten them into this mess. Zecora and the cutie mark crusaders, who was nearby, heard their fight, and reminded them of their friendship. Zecora and the CMC help them escape, and the mane six realize that the dragon pony had taken the Elements. By trusting each other and remembering their friendship, they manage to get the necklaces back from the dragon pony by getting another dragon pony, one of her minions, to help, by saying that the mane six were stealing the Elements. The ruler of the dragon ponies did not believe her minion, because she does not trust anypony. The mane six then get the Elements and defeat the ruler of the dragon ponies. The minion that had helped them, said she had to leave, and she left, with the mane six waving good-bye.

End of part 2

But the thing is, remember that article on Equestria Daily that had that secret message. Many said it was "More Main Characters". And a person who worked with My Little Pony said to look out for episodes 26, 27, 28 of season two. Could this mean that there could be more main characters in seasonn three?

Lauren Faust never made a true reason since the show was originally intended for a younger audience and not an older one looking for a more elaborate plot.

Lauren Faust never made a true reason since the show was originally intended for a younger audience and not an older one looking for a more elaborate plot.

But didn't she also state that NMM was her own entity, but took Luna's body?

my theory: the Elements need 6 to work properly, Celly and Luna were only two, so the sealing of Discord was imperfect, and a fragment, the seed of discord that would grow into a literal Nightmare, was sown between the Sisters.

Nobody has mentioned Crystal Empire yet? Apparently Princess Cadance goes to Crystal Empire, a place made of beautiful crystals (and maybe filled with crystal ponies?) to help spread love because there seems to be a lack of it there.

Or even just another Empire/Kingdom/etc. it would be cool to see a sort of war-esque situation going on in the land of Equestria, or the surrounding territories. (maybe that's just because i'm really into warfics as of late...)

either way, I'd like to see the story taken to other lands/continents/territories/etc. when dealing with whatever villain is used.

and seaponies.

I think the problem is just... its easy to make seaponies come into play when its sugar-coated, G1-esque nonsense... but it'd be hard to make a solid plot around a race of ponies that are bound to water...

and hasbro would have to design new molds for the toys, and it would be a risky shot for hasbro. i guess they're just playing it safe for now.

I said its a spell it doesn't have to be a love spell ,but if it was its probably because they are at war with eachother ,and princess cadance casts the love spell to stop them from fighting ,but the spell won't hold for long so the mane 6 have to show the chrystal ponies they were one group in the past through the chrystal fair.

Tirek returns and offers Luna to be Queen of Equestria in return to helping him bring eternal night. She excepts, and they go to Tambolon or whatever it's called.  There army is made of pookas, nymphs, banshees,  fariys,* changelings, witches and Flutter ponies. Because Queen Majesty held war against them and banished them to Flutter valley. Celesta and Luna are Queen Majesty's daughters. Then Cerberus comes and joins them. Discord joins with the main 6 and Celesta.

That'd be awesome - a possible looming conflict with Griffons, where Dashie could show Gilda the true meaning of friendship. I guess they'll inevitably work the use of the elements of Harmony into the plot somehow :D

Perhaps the windigoes are destroying the Griffon kingdom (like the ponies original homeland) and forcing them to have to invade Equestria for food - Celestia sends the mane six to the Griffon kingdom to help restore it by showing the power of friendship, and using the elements of harmony :)

Gilda is actually the princess of the griffon kingdom and when she decides to seek refuge in equestria, the griffons invade

Everyone's really wanting Discord to come back, especially since De Lancie is gonna do a voice in season 3, but the problem is, when he said he'll be returning for season 3, he said something along the lines of "I'll be known as Q, Discord, and now someone else." This means whoever he voices in season 3 most likely won't be Discord.

The episode(s) about the Crystal Kingdom will certainly be interesting, especially since the song they released about it


How about an episode where the mane 6 are stuck in a dreamworld that's stricken/corrupted with nightmares by some kind of creature? Or.. would that be too scary for kids? I wouldn't want kids to be too afraid to go to bed because they might get trapped in a nightmare world.

a villain that cannot be reasoned with, that would be interesting to see.
