Off-Topic Archive / Corgi Signatures?

So I've been surfing the forums and I seem to be noticing a whole lot of corgi-related signatures for a forum not devoted to Corgis. Is there a particular reason for this, or is it just "Hey that person I respect/admire has a Corgi in their signature I'll put one in mine?" I'm just rather curious. Thanks for taking the time to read.
