Then why even have forums?

And for this equaling matter many users will leave cause chatbox was the only thing that was holding most of users here active.

Most people treat these forums similar to how I treat my MMO/RPGs.  The forums are a nice place to find information if I need something to find otherwise I've got other communities (like social media) that are easier to get into than forums.

Oy, reading these responses I really shouldn't have to make the connection to Neopets...But alas I just did.

My take is that from all the forums I've lurked on in the fandom is that the chatbox is essentially a "General Chat thread" in disguise.  I personally liked the chatbox in the sense the forums do not presently have a 7,500+ page 'General Chat' thread that both MLPForums and its derivatives have.  There are also many things that users may post that are well within the rules but don't necessarily want it in stone so the chatbox has its uses.

Either way resources are going to be spent in an equal manner for a similar amount of activity whether it be forums or a chatbox.

I went ahead and moved your thread to Video Games since it is more fitting there.

You've got an interesting concept here.  It might be easier to give some more detail about the facility to help minimize some of the problems you've already mentioned.

Managed to find an Intel RST driver from Panasonic that will work in getting one of my drives to work properly.

I'm trying to think of something not computer related.

But I had a few coworkers give me static for the vinyl ponies stickers on my back car window thinking it belonged to someone else.  >:O

Heh, I'm a Texan that has been playing Heroes of the Storm a bit too much.

Welcome to the forums.  :3

Blood Moon, Terraria much?

It can also be referred to a total lunar eclipse because it gives off a reddish color.

Spoiler: show
Personally when I hear the term it reminds me of Gromas 16.

Well I got my younger sister a birthday present, so I'm getting that out of the way while I focus on more important things.

Probably that I got 12, if not more laptops that need a bit of tuning up.

Yes...12.

Keep this thread family friendly, please.

(Don't be too suggestive)

I can't remember the last time I did Onyxia.

There's also Dot Warner as well...

Hmmm...I think what does annoy me is that I forget too much.

And what is port forwarding? I don't really know about setting up servers! XD

Port forwarding is where when a person connects to your local network with the IP address your Internet Provider gives you, takes the associated port (presuming Terraria has a default and otherwise not specified) and forwards the data/connection it to the computer specified by the router.  Most routers have built in firewalls that block any ports that are unknown to it, since when a port is opened (i.e. forwarded) that anything connected to it can utilize it.

So if I were hosting a server and someone were to connect to me, my router would know which computer on my network to pass it on to.

Careful, we don't want to start a politics fight here...

The whole issue of copyrights and trademarks is pretty much law.  As long as we're being civil in this thread (and we're dealing with MLP so it's pretty relevant) we should be fine.

Probably paying more for parts than I should, in this case getting a fourth hard drive caddy to finish rebuilding a few laptops I've been meaning to get around to.

The price is a bit steep than my previous parts, but it does guarantee a hard drive and fastening screws (which are notoriously hard to come by anyways).

Costs more than the laptops do at times.

Hello and welcome to the forums.  :P

Don't forget to check out our rules before getting too carried away with all the excitement the community has to offer!

I do believe there is an effect on the regular version as well, notably because I still use lower resolution panels so I notice the squished sides of the forums a bit more.

For me the fact that having a USB device plugged in requires 2 watts of power just to initiate and keep the controllers online on my laptops.  Which is fine and dandy until one realizes the laptops runs at 9 watts on idle.  Oy.

Actually...Now that my sister's Galaxy S3 keeps beeping something new came to mind.

I own a launch day Galaxy S3 that I still own, courtesy of Sprint allowing upgrades at the 22 month mark (meaning it's still under contract until July 1st, :D).  Needless to say I still have it, it holds a great charge (since I never fully charge it with the device switched on) and that the screen is intact despite the bumps and rolling down my shoes.  The two other S3s my family has are broken.  One has a bad USB port and the other a cracked screen.  Ah well, the phone I upgraded to is more sensible than the deductible on TEP (Total Equipment Protection)
