Good to hear! 0:)

Have you also tried deleting the LocalLow folder after you deleted the game and before you re-downloaded it? That's known to be the solution for a lot of problems, it could be a solution for this one as well.
3
Have you tried it with all your HDs? Even external ones?

That's a strange problem. It can happen that a photo simply can't be taken with the in-game function because of lag. When a strong lag happens while you press F12, the server doesn't receive the command.
It can also happen that you overlook that a photo wasn't taken; after you took many photos in a row, you can become confused and believe that the latest message is for the photo you just took, while it's actually for a photo you previously took. That happened to me a few times, so I started making it a habit to check the number code at the end of the last message before taking another photo to avoid that.
But since you said that you get the chat message that a photo was taken and saved, neither of this can be it in your case. The server got the command, so the photo has to be somewhere.
The only solution I can think of is that the photos suddenly get, for whatever reason, saved in a completely different place on your HD. Make a photo again when you play the next time, then try finding it by typing in the filename that the message in the game showed you in Windows' search function for each of the HDs you're using. If the photos were saved in a different folder, you'll find them that way.

Scootaloo is ready. She was ready for this before she was born! B)

Yes, you can sell items to merchants and vendors. Just right-click on an item and you can choose how many you want to sell. Musrooms, however, are not getting you any bits right now.  The value of used items got lowered, so that items you bought from a vendor and that you resell get you less money than what you paid for them (used items always lose worth, realism FOR THE WIN!), which seems to have derped something, because it caused that some items get you only zero bits anymore now.
But you can keep the mushrooms anyway. You will likely get a lot more bits soon by doing quests and fighting monsters, but the item value is something that will likely get re-balanced eventually, so if you keep them, you can sell them later if you need quick money for some reason.

You're welcome! If you want to play, Scoots is online almost all the time, so don't be hesitant to approach her!

Quote from: Cogsworth Wingthrop on 2018 Dec 20, 08:22:03Sadly there is not many players on LoE.

Don't say this so seriously. This statement sounds rather dramatic, but the actual situation isn't so bad. It wouldn't hurt to answer such a question by a new player in a way that doesn't give them the feeling they will be lonely and alone most of the time. Just a little more tact in approaching new, interested players.

@Dr_Nomz

On weekdays, the player count is lower. Work and school prevent most active players from playing there. I don't have enough statistics to give 100% reliable data to you, but I estimate that there are 20 - 30 players online on weekdays (about 10 at any given time). The number of players rises strongly on the weekends, from what I could see so far, there seem to be about 50 - 100 players being online across Saturday and Sunday and maybe Friday evening already (probably around 30 at any given time). That's what I could gather from my observations since the Open Beta started.
This is a player count that you will usually, unless there is a specific event or party, not be really aware of. These players are scattered over several areas on the server and over two different rooms in each area. Additionally, players drop in and out of the game all the time. Not everyone plays the game for an entire day or on the same days. Some play a few hours, then leave, then return on the next day at a different time or maybe skip a few days before they play again. The time when players are online and the amount of time they spend in the game before logging out again varies greatly.
Due to that, the number of players you will actually MEET while playing will be much lower than the total amount of players that are online at the same time. But that's obviously not a true reflection of the game's activity, there are a lot more players than those you see around you.
And these numbers I've given you increases significantly when a new update releases. That makes even inactive players return in droves, so you will see a lot more activity in the first few weeks after an update.
And, of course, there are new players coming and discovering the game, like you. Especially lately, I can see an increase in new players. Your thread here, as well as the thread by another new player that was just opened a few days ago, confirms that observation nicely.
LoE is a game that grows slowly (the fact that it's only in Open Beta so far and hasn't reached Version 1.0 yet also contributes to it that not everyone wants to play it right now, a lot seem to be waiting until it's more rounded), but lately, it seems to me like a lot of people suddenly realize that LoE is actually there now. I wouldn't be surprised if you and Magicphobic (her two threads are below yours) are the first ones of a flood of new players that comes from somewhere.
Overall, there are enough players online to play (or, roleplay, that is very popular), fight, kill mobs, farm, level-up, ect. together.
It might not always seem like there's anyone here at first glance, but if you reach out when you need somepony to play with, you will usually get a response and find someone who would like to join you in whatever activity you want to do. If you want to know how many and which players are in the same area and room as you, you can check that by typing the command /players in the chat window. Amareicas has a lot more players than Europonia, so that's probably where you want to play in most of the time.
There's nothing super-special you need to do if you want to interact with players. Just type in the chat to talk with them. If you right-click on a player, you'll get a number of options, like sending somepony a friendship invitation or forming a party with them. The former, if they approve the invite, lets you see at any time when they are online and where in the game they are. You can find that info in your friendlist, just press F to open it quickly.
If you do the latter, you will be able to talk only with members of your party in the party chat. The party chat is the pink tab on top of the chat window. You can also whisper to them by typing /whisper Playername (write the name in quotation marks if it consists of two parts that are separated by a space). All whispers show up in the green tab on top of the chat window.
Both the party chat messages and the whisper messages sent to you can also be seen in the global/locat chat, however, so you won't miss anything if you don't have these tabs open constantly.

If you want to quickly get to know to some ponies and socialize, I recommend the Sweet Elite Roleplay Meet & Greets to you:

https://forum.legendsofequestria.com/index.php?topic=17220.msg1033907#msg1033907

They happen weekly and the next one is tomorrow at 4:00 PM EST / 9:00 PM GMT. There are also a couple of other events going on, ranging from random birthday parties to specific holiday-related events and even big, organized roleplays with a huge crowd of ponies and a developed storyline, which you should find out about rather soon if you get to know to a few ponies or poke around in the forum here.
There's a lot to discover and a lot of fun to have in "Legends of Equestria".

No, it is the right shop. The NPC doesn't show up for foals, because sadly, a lot of things are restricted to adults and unavailable for foal players..... :c
It should show up for you, so if it doesn't, it is either a bug or the quest is seasonal, because it was put into LoE for April Foals Day (it's ironic to call it that, when foals can't even do this quest ono).
I can't confirm any of this, because as a foal I can't see the NPC by default (I feel like I'm starting to beat a dead foal here :P), so you can only ask another adult pony to find out if the NPC is still here.

Welcome to Equestria! The main vendors in Ponyville and Canterlot are Buttercup and Bluebell; try it with them, choose "Shop" and see if you get the same bug.
Another cosmetic horn you can get is the bronze helmet, as it has a horn on top of it. You can get one for free if you make the quest offered by Lieutenant Snipe in Cloudsdale.

Legends of Equestria Discussion / Re: Help

If you're having trouble logging into LoE due to the client labelling some assets as 'downloading', or menu items showing up as bright pink rectangles, or you're having issues with screen resolution, or missing abilities from your hotbar/journal, these steps should resolve the problem:

Close LoE. Then, press the Windows key + R on your keyboard, and it should open up a small search box.

Paste the following into that search box - %appdata%..\..\LocalLow\LoE\Legends of Equestria - and press enter.

(NOTE: If you're using Linux, you need to look for this folder instead - ~/.config/unity3d/LoE/Legends of Equestria

And on MacOS, it's this one: ~/Library/Application Support/LoE/Legends of Equestria)

This should open up the hidden LoE folder. Delete everything in there, and then close it.

Now, re-run the LoE program. It'll create new, 'default' files to replace the one you just deleted, which should resolve the issue! You may need to re-do certain things like the order of abilities on your hotbar, or the screen resolution of the game. If you then need to change the settings again, you can always do so through the game's option menu.

If these steps don't work, follow them again, but after deleting everything in the hidden folder, also delete the LoE game download again, and grab a fresh copy from our website (https://www.legendsofequestria.com/downloads) before running LoE again.

If your issue still persists, please report it via Phabricator (https://forum.legendsofequestria.com/index.php?topic=16754.0).

Hmm, then I don't know how to help. Hope it works again soon.

If you hang it on a socket and switch it on, you should be able to use it without having to charge the battery. Charging the battery is usually just for when you don't have access to a socket.
14
Can you not just hang it on the socket and play from there?

Today is the day, everypony! Nightmare Night is finally here and Scootaloo's Trick or Treat event will start in less than 7 hours, at 7 PM EDT / 11 PM GMT!

The starting point of the event will be in front of Sugarcube Corner. From there, you can freely roam around in Ponyville to find several candy givers. They will give all sorts of sweet treats to you, so make sure there is enough room in your saddle bags!^^

And that's not all! As a special guest of honor, Princess Luna will attend the event! If you want to get an autograph from her or just meet the Princess of the Night in person, she will be happy to spend her time with all interested foals during the event and join them in their candy-collecting adventures!

If you want to come to an event with sweets and frights tonight, put on your Nightmare Night costume (or come without one, even foals who did not get a costume in time anymore are welcome!) and come as a foal to Sugarcube Corner in Ponyville at 7 PM EDT / 11 PM GMT.

But beware..... Lately, the demonic Slender Mane has been spotted near Ponyville and ponies say he has come to whisk foals away..... Be careful and keep your eyes open, everypony.

@Frisktaker

If you are worried about not having a costume for the costume contest and the fashion show, you can also check out my Trick or Treat event in Ponyville:

Costume or not, you are invited to participate.^^ Just make sure to come as a foal.^^ It starts at 7 PM EDT / 11 PM GMT in front of Sugarcube Corner in Ponyville.

Hmm..... I think this thread comes at a bit of an unfortunate moment, as there was just an intense discussion about the matter, and it probably would have been better if you waited with this for a few days, but I appreciate your efforts to do this, Starry.
And since this is just a poll to collect votes, I suppose it's fine. I will go and promote it on Derpibooru, but be sensible with discussing this. Right now it's a little heated and I think we all, including PR, need a bit of a break from talking about it today.
Thank you for making this!^^

Edit: Also, 600th Post! 0:)

The picture of Scoots in the midst of all the fainted ponies is glorious and perfect.

"Guys? Guys, are you all drunk again?"

The townhall is easy to find. Just turn left at Sugarcube Corner and enter the street you can see there. Following it will bring you to the townhall. You should even be able to see it long before you get there.
