Personally I'm glad that it's coming out in Spring of 2015, and not Fall/Winter 2015, which is what other sources have been saying!

We got a lot more of a tease from the animatic they showed at SDCC.

By the way, if you watch/have watched that animatic, we got a little Easter egg relating to it in Rainbow Rocks.

MLP has been very "BUY OUR TOYS!"-ish from the start, so I'm sure it won't get any worse than what they've already done with the whole "Princess and Rainbows!!" thing lol

I haven't watched the animatic yet because last season I saw the Season 4 animatic, got over-hyped, but then was let down once the season finally aired. I won't be making that mistake again! -.-

Although I did hear about what they're gonna do for episode 100...I won't say what, but I'm honestly disappointed. :/

Even though I agree it wasn't much of a teaser, I'm happy I can officially begin counting down for it's release. I know there will be some great episodes, maybe some not so great, but it will all be fun nonetheless. Let It Begin!!!!

I think I have an idea as to why it's taking so long.

Judging from the animatic they showed at SDCC, it looks like season 5 is gonna be all about traveling to new places to spread friendship and fix problems that are creating disharmony.

Unfortunately, this means that they have to make these new places. They have to make the assets for these new places. The ground, the backgrounds, the buildings, the layout, figure out where those places generally are in Equestria (the animatic shows them looking at a map), etc.

For some places, they may even have to come up with the culture of that place.

Sadly, it looks like they may only be traveling within Equestria, so we likely won't be seeing the region/country where griffons or zebras come from.

That's quite the interesting theory. I'm assuming you're just guessing and you don't have any evidence to support this other than your interpretation of the SDCC animatic?

Just a note, that's not all that happened in the animatic. It's pretty interesting.

One by one, the mane six sit on their thrones while they discuss it, and when they're all on their thrones, the cutie mark symbols on the thrones light up. A table rises up from the floor and gains a 3D map of Equestria. A thing made of their cutie marks spinning around each other appears, flies across the map, and hovers over one spot, pretty much telling them where to go.

So, if their castle is equipped with a magical map that tells them exactly where they're needed...

Okay, the first trailer seemed like nothing. All is did was reflect on the last season, and promise "big things were coming," which is meaningless for a commercial. You're supposed to promise that something good is coming.

But with this second one, could they be implying that the group will be challenged throughout the season. That'd be interesting if so. Like, whereas last season was about a box and a castle, will the villian have a more long lasting impact then just a few episodes?

Don't get your hopes up guys, we had villains appearing out from nowhere and this probably not gonna change :v

Perhaps more will be revealed in future trailers over the next few months.

I really noticed the music for this one. It was too grand and too epic. It didn't really fit with the narrator who was jokey and confused by Pinkie, then he ended the trailer by going "probably not," killing the tension created by the music.

I'm changing my opinion from the Fluttershy trailer. These trailers are nice but transparent. A new season is coming, and they want to build it up, but are they giving a reason? Nope.

Not that I need one, it's just that I already know that a new season is coming every since that post featuring Pinkie Pike jumping into the sky while the text for "Season5 coming 2015" floating nearby. These trailers are just a lot of fluff.

The section that's in charge of the show is great when it comes to not spoiling things, but the toy section? *Ahehehem*
- Started releasing crystal pony blind bag ponies way before season 3, but that was subtle at least
- Canterlot Wedding stuff before The Canterlot Wedding
- Alicorn Twilight stuff popping up super early on, including an alicorn Twilight sticker sighted in a toy store
- Sunset Shimmer pony toys sighted before the Equestria Girls trailer even came out. So many people thought I was being silly when I insisted that the Sunset Shimmer toy seen at that Toy Faire would be an important character. :P "It's just a pony toy," they said, but she looked like more than a background character, and she was in a series that mane six toys were in. Some started to believe after photos of the back of a Sunset Shimmer box popped up 'cause it said she used to be Celestia's student and knows the path to another world.

I actually can't wait to see what season 5 is about we might actually get a episode arc that follows a main plot mixed in with slice of life stuff if we're lucky. I wouldn't mind that season 4 didn't quite pull it off correctly, but I still loved the episodes.

Thanks to the couple of seconds we see of the new season it's making me a little impatient for the new season again :c
It's still a little ways away yet.

Finally, content! A trailer normally has a scene from the movie in it, and this one clearly has a scene from an episode. The rainbow dash trailer is the closest thing to a real trailer here. It's weird that they're stretching it so thin though. They probably made these before the proper episodes were finished.

Despite that though, I'm thinking of avoiding these from now on. Why? I don't want spoilers. I fear that after seeing this I have a good guess for what the content for this episode will be. I've had too many bad experiences with spoilered episodes, so yeah...I'm going to try and avoid more information on this series for awhile.

Considering how that toyline seems to be Hasbro's new big thing, it may or may not be related to the show. o.O I guess we won't know until season 5 comes out, huh? You never know what to expect from Hasbro's toy department.
