I ordered a package from California on Thursday. Last night at 10:30 the tracker said it was in Monroe, Louisiana (150 kilometers north of me) so I figured it would be here this morning.

When I got up this morning the tracer said it was in...Tupelo, Mississippi. What?! Why is it there!?

The methods of our postal services, whether government run or not, confuses me.

It's like when Tyler lost it's distribution center for USPS, everything had to be routed through Shreveport, even if it was coming from Dallas. The system layout is just insane, how a package two hours away by car, takes three days to get to your house.

I've noticed that there really isn't a thread for this game here... Whether it be no one plays it, or no one has made it yet... So, I thought I'd make the thread just for the heck of it.

Recently (that being yesterday), Ground Forces was released. I played a bit of it, mainly to just get my x2's in, since I'll be gone for the weekend at a fire school for technical rescue. And I have to say, even with the glaring bugs, such as tanks where DM's don't exist, tanks with unrealistic (that being not historically accurate) armor loads, such as a T-34 being able to withstand the brunt shot of a Panther or Tiger at point blank range, and shots not even registering half of the time, the game is outstanding. Love the no health bars! But, I do really feel that Ground Forces will be a viable competitor to World of Tanks, especially with the engine that Gaijin is able to support.

And I'm really surprised that in comparison, the later Tiger II and Panther are actually superior to the IS-4 and ISU-122, which were built to counter those tanks.

Anywho. Discuss if you want. If no one actually plays, it'll just be around for me to rant/rave on. XD

That the state with the greatest tendency to catch fire is also the leading state in cutting it's fire department budget.

GG, California. Why I'm staying in Texas.

Someone sent me this yesterday. Found it at a flea market. Probably now my most prized WWII related item.

Sega (or Relic, the off branch) released two new commanders for Company of Heroes 2 today in honor of Elbe Day. Free DLC, and one of them has the M4 Sherman? Mmyes. Easy to call in, and the tactic of "4 Shermans to 1 Tiger" paid off in the first match.

Just goes to show that some developers still care about their fanbase.

Trying to land on an airfield in War Thunder, and ripping the wheels off the plane from coming in too fast.

Then everything jams, and it's a downhill trip from there. Unless it's a American fighter, then it just keeps flying... Then catches fire.

WHY
there are ads on EVERY OTHER WORD NOW

I actually think that's gotta be something with your browser. It did it on my chrome for a while, and then I, well, used the internet to see what it was. Turned out it was some adware thing that infected it, so I just deleted the extension, and it went away.

tldr; Use the internet.

That's why I ask for everything up front and only authorize those repairs that are necessary...Or in this case getting Chevrolet's Twitter involved solely because the dealership has no idea that there are wires that connect my speakers to the primary wiring of the vehicle.  They would rather replace the speakers than the faulty cable harness.  :I

But rather, I have a third recall on my car, joy.

And that was just my farm truck. My Tahoe, on the other hand, has probably 5 times the amount of things I /know/ need to be done to it, but I don't have money to fix it. Ball joints on both axles are out, the front end alignment is gone, the tires are essentially balds, some emissions thing has three error codes, all indicating a "major leak", and I'm pretty sure the timing on one or two of my cylinders are off.

It never ends. Ever.

I'm rather amazed Weird Al still hasn't parodied any of Justin Bieber's songs.

There's a reason to that. He usually parodies a song out of respect for the artist and their work. Parodying one of the Beib's song would be saying "I have respect for you, so I'm making fun of one of your songs."

Yeah. He has waaaaaay more self respect than that. Though, I think in his "Apocalypse" record, he does the "Baby" song in that Polka one.

hold on though..... I'm ok with there being a Facebook game, but My FB account has only personal friends/family, none of which are bronies, and I don't want to have to put up with "oh, you need 3 friend to ____".

More importantly, will the actual LoE game, that you've been putting up open servers for (and was going to on Easter weekend), still come out as a game? or has that been completely destroyed

It's whatever the almighty Mark Zuckerberg decides to do. I think they might be teaming up with Zynga to make "Elements of Harmony Crush."

And to get into the open server, you must find the tin foiled wrapped ostrich egg, or microwave fifteen thousand peeps in fifteen seconds.

I'll be putting in my two weeks soon, and planning a vacation to New Orleans, since my cut can only take me so far.

Also, I'll still need health and dental.

And severance.

I expect the works.

That most Paramedic schools you attend assume that you're going into the EMS field as your career, and not as a certification you need for your fire department.

Yes. I understand that this is how the profession is. I don't actually care, though. I just need this for my job.

When someone 'borrows' an art style without asking and uploads the drawing as 'unique' and 'original'.

You can hardly claim ownership of an art style.  o.O

That doesn't mean you do not have your own personal style that you develop for let's say couple of years and then somebody comes along and decides it's a good idea to copy it.

They have a point. I can list several artists in the fandom that have their own specific style of either digital art or traditional. Night Pony means it in the sense when they recolor a drawing the original artist did, and then claim it as their own, even with the style is pretty well known around the fandom to one specific artist.

The weather channel said we weren't going to get freezing rain and sleet until after sunset Sunday. Instead, we got it in the middle of Sunday afternoon. They also said the sleet wouldn't stick, but everything outside is covered in sleet. They also said that only bridges would freeze over, but all of the roads are frozen.

As if things couldn't get worse, the storm sprung a leak that got water all in our spice cabinet, so we had to take all of our seasonings out and put them on the counter.

That's just wonderful. Isn't it great?! ovO Doesn't it just sound stupendously fun?!

We've come to learn in most cases here in East Texas, what they say in Dallas/Ft Worth is more likely to happen to us as well over what the stupid Weather Channel says. WFAA said "Sticky sleet mid afternoon." And lo and behold, it did. Dallas > Weather Disappointment.
