For anypony who follows the invitation to tonight's campout and hopes to see me there, sorry, but I won't attend tonight, after all. I have planned to, but I forgot that I still need to watch "Molt Down" more often and write a review for it, since I didn't do that on the Gala weekend.
But once that is done, my Saturday evenings/nights are free and the hiatus starts for me as well (*gulps*) and so I will definitely be at the next one.^^

There is a lot that got added to the game and 5 minutes is really not the time after which you can make a judgement like this.

But isn't it the same as on Nightmare Night? There are foals going around and collecting candies, with some spooky surprises happening along the way. Seems fitting to describe it as "Nightmare Night in Summer". 
And I am afraid it could spoil the real deal..... Summerween and Nightmare Night are very similar to each other, so, what if many ponies who attend don't like to celebrate in October anymore cause they already did something similar a few months ago? Maybe we could distinct the two festivities more to prevent that, by adding something more unique to Summerween that Nightmare Night doesn't have?
I'd like to have both events/holidays be in peaceful coexistence, really.

Nightmare Night in Summer? I will probably pass that event. I rather have certain celebrations when they are supposed to be celebrated, even though I love everything horror and scary.

1st - you go out of the way to kill of any bug that lets players have fun, while leaving all the problem ones just as they are.

Factually wrong. There have been a lot of annoying bugs that got fixed lately. Reading changelogs helps.
And besides that, a bug is a bug. I miss the buttsliding myself, but it still is a bug and leaving a bug in the game just because it's fun to have it is not professional and would give the worst impression of the game.
If a bug is fun, it is better to modify it and turn it into an actual feature. Which is something that has been promised for the buttslide already, because of its popularity.
3rd - you make dragon slaying (level 65) near impossible
This dragon is the highest level enemy in the game, akin to a final boss, right now. It is not supposed to be easy to kill and there have been ways before that made it possible to kill him without the dragon having a chance to defend himself. This got fixed.
An endboss is supposed to be a huge challenge. It is up to the player to figure out the way to defeat it, not to the devs to explain that or make it super easy so that no one complains.
4th - you limit us to level 50, which can be achieved in a few hours, robbing us of goals
Only thing I don't have experience with, neither firsthoof nor secondhoof. But I doubt that Level 50 can be achieved that quick if you play the game as it is intended, by questing and actually going through the game.
Grinding the highest level enemies with range attacks from a high spot, is definitely not the way it is intended.
5th - every third sentence that gets typed in a conversation is lost when the server resets YET AGAIN, like 2-5 minutes after the last, and so on and so on.
I don't know what game you play, but for me, LoE resets the server every few hours, not every few minutes, and I'm pretty sure it's like that for every other player as well.
That dramatizing here makes me the most convinced that you are, to put it mildly, one of the complicated members of a fanbase that are never to satisfy that everything with a larger following gets a few of eventually.
The other thing that does that is the clickbait headline.
As a former dev team member, I can personally tell that the devs take LoE very serious and have a dedication that I haven't seen anywhere else in the fandom.
But I don't think they could satisfy you, otherunicorn, no matter what they do. This is an impossible task.

I think this warrants its own thread, since Scootaloo and Flurry Heart were apparently THE highlight of the Grand Galloping Gala 2018 for many! 
Here is a recap of Scootaloo's and Flurry Heart's gala night, with over 40 photos Scootaloo took of their great and lovely time:
Scootaloo's arrival at the Gala. She was baffled by how many ponies were there, but also felt a bit uncomfortable. It's hard for a daredevil filly like her to squeeze herself into a girly dress.
While wandering around the gala floor and checking out who had come, she spotted Flurry Heart above the top stairs and went to say hello.
After she had finally found Holiday Cheer, organizer of the Gala and good friend, she danced a little with her.
Holiday Cheer went tending to some other gala guests and after Scoots found out where the buffet is, thanks to Holiday's help, and she had a little snack, she began to feel bad that her friend Dinky couldn't come with her as her gala partner.
Then she remembered that Flurry Heart was all alone at the side of the princesses, so she decided to ask her if she had a gala partner.
And her hunch was right, Flurry Heart indeed didn't have a gala partner! So Scootaloo asked the young princess if she can be her partner.
Flurry Heart was delighted by the request and agreed.
After the formalities had been cleared out, Scootaloo and Flurry Heart started their first dance of the night.
And so, a long and happy night began, one that should change a lot for both fillies, even though they did not know this yet.
Flurry Heart and Scootaloo danced and danced, until it was time for the announcement of the winners of the Gala Royals voting! Wordsmith and Clever got the most votes and Flurry and Scoots attended the dance to their honor.
After a while, other couples got invited to dance with them in the middle of the circle. Scootaloo had an idea, so she asked Flurry if they should dance there, too. Flurry Heart loved her idea!
While they were dancing together there, something unexpected happened, their bellies were suddenly full of butterflies!
But dancing is exhausting, so after a while, they retreated to the buffet. Sitting next to each other, they indulged themselves in sandwiches and vegetables.
Of course, the conversation between them was all about food!
After their snacks, Scootaloo and Flurry Heart suddenly found themselves separated when the Gala was hit by weird magic. During her search for Flurry, Scootaloo met two of the other fillies who were allowed to stay outside that late at night.
As they had found each other again, it was almost time for the Wonderbolts Airshow, so they looked around to decide from where to watch it. Soon, Scootaloo had found a good spot.
Flurry Heart and Scootaloo sat down there and, motivated by the butterflies in their bellies, they got very close to each other.
And very soon, last hesitations and remaining shyness dropped, and they snuggled up to each other in anticipation of the airshow.
The show was a phenomenal spectacle and Scoots was so excited, that she forgot to take pictures most of the time.
After the show, which was a rousing success, Flurry and Scoots went to cheer on the heroes of the night.
Then both of them were in the mood for cake, so they decided to go to the buffet a second time.
Scootaloo already wanted to sit down in front of the buffet like earlier, but Flurry Heart had a better idea and showed Scoots her favourite spot at the castle.
Much to Scootaloo's surprise, Flurry Heart revealed that she was a huge fan of the Wonderbolts and often watched their practice sessions from there!
Finished with their cakes, Scootaloo and Flurry Heart snuggled up again. They admired the nightsky and enjoyed each other's warmth.
Having found each other, the plan to meet again and to send letters was made quickly.
And since they were alone now, far away from the partying pony crowd, they soon became more daring.
They spent almost an hour like this, snuggling and kissing in the darkness and watching the stars.
As the Gala drew to a close, they went back to the dancefloor to dance one last time.
Then it was time for the Closing Ceremony, so Flurry and Scoots stopped dancing to head for the stage.
After they arrived at the stage, more plans for the future were made. They gushed over their hometowns towards each other and promised to visit each other there one day as well as to send photos of their favourite places there.
Then the Closing Ceremony started and Flurry and Scoots got comfortable for it.
It was only after the Closing Ceremony was over, that both of them fully realized that they were the adorable highlight of the Gala for many, as Holiday Cheer herself told them that their blossoming love was the best thing of the night for her.
Then the moment of goodbye came, as Scoots could not attend the afterparty in Sugarcube Corner because her aunts expected her at home. Flurry and Scoots exchanged one last kiss and hug, then they parted. Not without promising to meet each other in Canterlot again, though.

How do you imagine doing it exactly? Just simply sitting around a table and have the DM (GM? I'm confused to how they're called now.....) sit at one end with their instructions and the others around the table so they can't see them and everything is imaginary?
Or actually going to places and make it like a roleplay that is narrated by somepony? The latter could be done using the environment we have, but then it wouldn't be real O&O anymore.

This sounds intriguing! But I'm also at a loss on how you would do this in LoE, considering the game isn't supporting D&D O&O and there are no character sheets, no maps, no player figures, no rule books, nothing.
Or would it simply be enough to have a GM and several players who sit in a circle and to make it look like:
"Scoots, you have decided to explore the dark forest. Unfortunately, after only a few steps, your lantern mysteriously breaks and the flame goes out and you stand in complete darkness all of a sudden. What are you going to do next?
A. You change your mind and leave the forest again, continuing without a light is way too dangerous and scary too!
B. You throw the lantern away and continue on through the forest. Relying on a light to guide your way is for wimps and you are a brave filly!
C. You look around and search the darkness. Maybe there is something you can ignite to make yourself a torch."
Scoots: "Huh..... Well, I'm not a scaredy filly, but I'm not an idiot either and exploring a dark forest at night without a light would be dangerous, who knows what lurks there..... So I guess I look around and build a torch."
GM: "You grope your way to the nearest tree and start searching. After a while, you have found a long and thick branch and something that looks like a firestone and start trying to ignite the branch. Roll for success."
ect. ect.
I suppose it could work, even though having the usual tools would make it better. We should try and see how it goes!

The last episode of the first half of Season 8 airs on the 9th, so that's when the mid-season hiatus starts.^^
