Because the server can remember these little objects easily in memory, I can start and stop the server at will and nothing is lost. It doesn't consume any space. Now, I could embed in these little objects a full image... but that would take up a lot of bandwidth you see, slowing down and lagging everyone. Or, I could save them on the server, but then I'd have to delete them when someone leaves, and it's all a bit messy.
Also massive potential for abuse. So sorry, not happening.

It's a program that you can use to let sprites of MLP:FiM characters walk around on your computer's screen and do silly things. It's pretty cute. I can't remember where I got it from, though.

Basically I needed to go via CloudFlare to keep the site up, keep it fast and reduce bandwidth bill (for the images). I forgot to push the update up to the site so that the actual connection for the chatroom bypassed it though! Sorry! D:

Well, it means you can basically create your own rooms. They won't show up in the room list.
Just /join some room name (e.g., /join legendsofequestria), and get some others to do the same :)

Quite a few people are making their usernames be the names of ponies from the show. People tend to do that kinda thing, which is why LoE is not gonna let people name their pony after any canon or copyrighted pony. :P

After hearing about the new account system I ended up remaking my account for it.
You have to make a persona account then register that persona account to your email, with the activation link then log in with a nickname by pressing enter after typing the name then hit account in the upper right corner of the pony chat and register that nickname with your account.
Just hit login with persona first and you should get the option to make an account then use the steps mentioned above.

I can't remember if I closed the pop-up or not, but I had to log on anonymously again, click Account Settings, and then log on for it to associate my email with it.

I think you could fix that. Am too tired atm to think that through though. But as there is a limited length of usernames I bet one can do some good guesses for the width of the left part.

Currently there are 3 columns. The left with the timestamp is no problem. For the middle on I guess there is a upper bound on the width one could calculate or at least give a good guess for (see below). The one on the right has variable width depending on the messages. So I'd suggest having the first two columns with a fixed width and the third taking up the remaining space.
For the width of the middle column:
The longest string there would probably have a length of: username (18) + <> (2) + (mod) (5) + some spare chars as a buffer (5) = 30
I gave it a try and ended up with 245px width. As there are probably wider fonts I'd suggest 260px - 300px or something as a fixed width.

Tried it out. There's already a problem with long messages containing wide characters in combination with a long username. You can easily get the text overflow. Perhaps a solution could be to get the width of the iframe / window, set a fixed width for the first two columns and let use the rest of the space. The last column could then be forced to break (at whitespaces or within the word if it's only one long word).
