*sigh* People don't know the difference between macarons and macaroons. They're both French desserts but they are totally different!
The Food Network gave the people on Chopped macarons (French delicate cookie-sandwich like dessert made of meringue mostly and filled with what the chef decides.) They displayed on the screen "MACAROONS" (French cakes made of primarily almonds and usually coconut)
Only of the chefs pronounced it correctly, and she is a pastry chef so that's good.
