One of my friends (actually a guy who tended to be pretty "macho" told me that he watched it with his sisters, and really liked it.
I still don't know if he knew about bronies.
But I was just "Huh. Weird." since I had a vague idea of the sort of show I thought it was, but what he said was so different, it got my interest.
Still, I didn't actually start watching it until a lot later, watching reaction videos on YouTube.
But he planted that seed. I still don't know if he knows that or not.
I started with the first episode, and it seemed kind of hokey, but the animation was good, and I liked horses anyway. It definitely wasn't what I expected, though.
Also, it might have helped that the reactor had already seen the later seasons, and was talking about how it got better later.
But by the third or fourth episode, I was enjoying myself, and I was pretty much hooked.
I still don't know if he knew about bronies.

The premise is rather simple: An earth pony filly (named Aurora) lives in Canterlot, and despite reforms, tribalism is still prevalent. This is made worse, as she has an interest in studying magic. She is constantly bullied by her peers, but things change when she stumbles into the Crystal Caverns underneath the city. She finds a small, hidden study full of books, books for the instruction of earth pony magic, something that had previously only been taught through experience and guesswork. Even then, such magic was passive.
If I say much more, though, it will give too much of the story away.
And on to recommendations!

This is a story about Ditzy Doo, or if you want to use her full name, Detsella Renombrada Morningdew. Her special talent relates to dimensional travel. Shenanigans ensue. (No, this fanfic does not include humans.)
There is a story, but I can't tell you any of it because of spoilers. Sorry. But it is great, and you should check it out. It is possibly the best Derpy/Ditzy fanfic out there.

This is a big one. 59 chapters, and over 400,000 words, and it still isn't finished. But it is worth it. It is set in a canon where only the first part of Season 3 happened. In fact, the author himself hasn't even seen any other episodes, until he finishes the story.
This is a Twilight ascension story, and in my opinion, it does it in a better way than the show does. It creates well-established canon about magic and related magical artifacts, and the story accurately simulates pony politics without boredom. In addition, it has an overall story arc that is complex and mysterious, while having mini arcs that are fun and exciting to read. The lore alone is fascinating enough, and there is even a separate "Rites Encyclopedia" that explains the canon if you missed it in the story, and don't want to go back trying to find what you missed: http://www.fimfiction.net/story/153395/the-rites-encyclopedia
Oh, and Alarm Clock has some pretty great sequels, too.

Wow, it seems that Kindness is a common Element.
I think it is the fact that it can be the most nuanced. There are many kinds of kindness.
I had a very hard time trying to find a single Element, since the personality of a person often includes several.
But I think if I made up my own element, it would probably be the element of... Oganesson.
It is a very... noble element.
But it can be a bit dense.

I tend to use weebly (a website creator) to upload my pictures. That makes sure that the pictures load fast, since the site has no traffic, and it makes sure the link always works. (I have seen far too many examples of pictures failing to load.)

Well, that actually might be interesting.
If they remade the pilot episode, and made it better (e.g. better animated, better characterized, etc.), that could make for a really good movie.

I still watch it, but not the same way I used to. Often I'll wait a while, then catch up.
Mostly because I'm curious, or so I'll get references in the fandom.
I mostly focus on the community, or really good fanfictions. (Not that there is a plethora of those, but the ones that are are excellent.)
The show is still enjoyable, even though I don't consider it "canon" anymore. Which sounds strange, but take it about as seriously as I do fanfiction, due to some of the changes that have happened. (Flurry Heart, mostly.) But it's still a good show, if not the most amazing thing in existence.

Just had a dream I got selected as wellwow that anxiety, as well as a song that came into my dream, and woke up remembering the same song.
I've had similar dreams.
And I never remember my dreams, except those kind of dreams, which makes it all seem so real.
Often those dreams are of entire days, and stop right before I have any enjoyment whatsoever. So frustrating.
And the Inception-type dreams are even more frustrating.

Hmmm... I think that's a good idea, but I think members shouldn't exclude anyone else. Also, I think it's a great idea for after the servers are open to more people, for the members selected first to have a "reunion" type thing in-game. Each member would have a sort of list of the other ponies in the group, so they'd be able to recognize them in the game, and have a group of friends from the get-go.
Or something like that.
But they would have to be careful not to become sort of elitist club or something like that.

I'm not going into programming, but it was always fun for me. (I programmed autonomous AI's for robots in high school. But the programming language was pretty specific to the system.)
