The mare exclaimed with a large smile on her face. She was used to hearing others telling her to take it easy so it was nice to have a break from that. The mare's glass gaze fell upon a bird couple nearby as the stallion spoke again. She couldn't help but smile as she watched the birds; with the nice weather and good company, this day was turning out a lot nicer than she imagined. Once it was her turn to speak, she replied,

Shear Luck: Well if yer anythin' like me, ya won't be retirin' for a while! I'm sure a grand fellow like yerself will find a pal to join ya! If not. . . .

The mare redirected her bright gaze back to the stallion. With eyes filled with glee and her voice bursting with kindness she continued,

[Color=limegreen]Shear Luck: You and Oi will travel! Just think of me as yer last resort! Oi think everyone should travel at least once with someone! Like Oi said, far too lonely by yerself. This also gives us a chance to meet again in da future so there is another plus![/color]

The mare ended her offer with a genuine smile and a few excited laughs. It was clear she was serious about the offer, but the red tint on her cheeks showed a bit of her embarrassment. Talking about traveling always made her happy and it might have clouded her better judgment. This was a bold offer but Shear would never know the answer till Sky replies so why was she so . . . flustered?

//I'm sorry that it's been weeks! Ahh, I've been so busy with school and coursework and homework and there's stuff being done on my house and I've been doing a lot elsewhere and I've just been so busy I haven't had time to check the website!

Sky gave a warm chuckle. He blushed softly under his dark coat.
"Well, if you'd be willing to put up with me long enough I think you and I would be a great couple." he smiled. "P-partners! In travelling, that is!" he stammered, his blush growing brighter. He ruffled his wings a bit, biting the inside of his cheek to stop from curling in on himself in embarrasment.

He prayed his slip up hadn't made Shear uncomfortable. Sky cursed the butterflies in his stomach, and his shaggy mane fell to cover one of his eyes, as if it was a shield to contain his flustered-ness.

Bramble looked up at the sound of everything going on outside and jumped as someone approached. She quickly iped her eyes for a final time and stood. She watched, eyes wary as she scanned the newcomer from a safe distance.

Bramble continued to pout in the corner, wiping away the tears that welled in her eyes every few seconds. She felt silly for crying, so hid it as best she could. She stared at the ground, sitting silently.

Shear Luck couldn't help but grin as her cheeks slowly turned pink; she'll never get used to receiving compliments. She personally didn't agree with it, but it is rude to dismiss a compliment. The mare took another bite from her fruit as she listened to what the stallion had to say. She almost choked on an apple slice as the stallion suggested for her to take off. The mare thought about doing it before, but she always shook the idea way. Shear enjoyed her job too much to leave her shop and couldn't imagine keeping it lock longer than a day.

Shear Luck: Naw, oi couldn't do dat. . . Dis 'ill probably soun' crazy, but oi get antsy if oi'm not workin'. . . Can't be 'elp! Dis is me passion an' oi couldn't imagine bein' away from me shop longer than two days. . . An' yer can't travel for just two days! Yer gotta be for at least a week! Maybe when oi retire i'll travel. . . . Of course with someone; be far too lonely ter go by meself!

Sky chuckled. "Believe it or not I understand what you mean about work. I wasn't too pleased to be put on leave for a while." he paused, thinking about what she'd said about travelling with someone.
The pegasus nodded. "Yes. Travelling is nice, but it's wonderful to explore the world with someone to share the exerience with."

"I would've taken this chance to travel, but all my friends are too busy with their own lives, and I don't know when I'll be needed back in Canterlot. But maybe one day I could travel." he smiled softly.

Shear Luck wore a small grin as she listened to Sky's response. The mare took a bite out of her salad as the stallion asked his questions. A small frown appeared on her face while she chewed; she sadly didn't have much of the opportunity to see the world as much as she could. As the mare swallowed her mouthful of salad, she replied,

Shear Luck: Sadly, Oi don't. Oi 'ave a gal pal who always invites me ter travel with 'er for business reasons. Oi usually 'av ter turn 'er down. . . Oi work de shop meself, so Oi can't really go on trips. Oi would love ter travel; it would be grand ter meet other ponies an' see other barber shops! Aye, if only Oi 'ad de time. . .

The mare paused for a bit to let out a sigh; it bothered her a lot that she couldn't travel. She only spent most of her life in Salt Lick City and Ponyville and wished she could travel with her friend. As much as it upset her, she didn't want to appear upset in front of someone she just met. The mare put on a small smile, and continued in a more chipper tone,

Shear Luck: Oi would try ter go out an' travel if Oi were yer! Me gal travels often an' she is probably de 'appiest pony Oi know. Oi bet it's de secret ter 'er youthful appearance too! a pity. . . She is years older than me an' oi'm startin' ter look older than 'er!

Sky gave a soft, warm chuckle. "I think you look fine for your age, whatever it may be." he said. He thought about her advice on travel for a moment. "I love the idea of travelling a bit more, I think I'll try and get around a bit when I can." he smiled. "Couldn't you close the shop for a few weeks to allow yourself a break?" he asked.

The stallion nearly snorted at the words that came out of his mouth. Him, a stallion classed as a 'workaholic' by many, advising someone to take a break whenever. He'd felt wrong for taking a break when he was on leave, and he was just giving other ponies suggestions he himself would never follow.

Bramble trudged off to a quiet bit of the cave, brushing away a few pebbles before she sat down. She hid her face behind her frizzy mane, still feeling bad for not realising the cave would have been perfectly safe. She realised that by going somewhere else, she could have gotten herself, Shimmer, and the wolf pup in even more trouble. She sighed, pawing at the ground with her hoof, keeping her eyes on the ground.

"Sorry." Bramble whispered again. She hadn't realised there were spells on the cave to protect them. She kept her head down as she and shimmer moved away from the hole.

Bramble blushed under her dark coat, shimmying out of the hole again. She looked down at her hooves, kicking the ground.
"I- I was worried that maybe the cave wouldn't be safe..." she said, softly.

Shear Luck gave Sky a big grin as he made his comment about his job. She was a bit suprised to see how modest he was about it; she knew a few stallions within the royal guard who never fail to boast about their job. It felt a bit odd in her book, but it was still nice company. The mare took a big bite out of her salad as the stallion asked his question. Shear's eyes dimly glowed and flickered a bit as she tried to figure out when she did move here. A small frown formed across her face as she used her special talent to help recall her memory; it appeared she might of deleted that memory to make more room. After a bit of thinking, the smile returned to her face as she replied,

Shear Luck: Ah've been 'ere for. . . Three years? It 'as been a nice town! Oi enjoy de wee town than de big city. . . Sure, Oi would go back ter de city if oi could; oi miss bein' close ter me family!

The mare grinned a bit before taking another bite out of her salad. As she was going through her memories, she didn't see any of the stallion before her. Curious to learn Sky's current residents, the mare hapilly asked,

Shear Luck: Yer live 'ere or up near de crown?

"Oh, I live in Canterlot, yes." Sky said. "I decided to come down here during my leave for a change of pace. I did grow up there, but I thought I should go and see other places."
He paused, thinking of another question.
"Have you travelled much?" he asked. "I myself haven't gone outside Canterlot much, apart ffrom training and... well, now." he looked down at the ground, a sheepish smile on his face.

Shimmer nodded to Bramble and headed over to the bushes. When she saw Game, she stopped to look at what he was looking at. "Hey Bramble!" she said, waving the other pony over. "Look at this! There`s a hole over here!"

Bramble hurried over. The hole was too big to be a badger sett or rabbit warren. It looked just about the right size forthem to crawl through. Bramble looked up at Shimmer. "How deep is it? You think we could hide in here?"

Bramble nodded, and looked around. She gave a 'hmm' as she searched the surrounding area for any other safe places to hide. She spotted a dip in the ground, dug out beneath some bushes.
"Hey, we could hide under here!" Bramble called, looking around to Shimmer.

Bramble shot a confused look in return to Shimmer 's exciting expression. She wondered how the other filly wasn't so terrifies,  they were being attacked by timber wolves and carried by a bear! Even if the bear was someone who was helping them, Bramble was worried there might be accidents involving claws.

Shear Luck took a bite out of a pear as she listened to Sky talk about his story. The mare was surprised her to hear he was from Canterlot; the city was majority Unicorn and she figured not too many ponies, especially pegasus, would like to live there. Though his family was in the royal guard, so that made some sense to her.  A small grin formed on her face as he spoke about his occupation; he did have the built of a royal guard and it wasn't a surprise to hear he was one. The royal guard was a job she admired, and she met a few through her years of working. With a big grin, the mare chimed,

Shear Luck: Come now, Oi wouldn't say dat! Anyone willin' ter work de royal guard is special in me book!

The mare gave the stallion a warm smile before she took a bite out of her salad. She couldn't help but grin as the stallion asked about her life; she always enjoyed talking a bit about her self. But it was a long story so for the sake of not boring the stallion, she decided to cut it short. With a large smile, the mare happily replied,

Shear Luck: Oi'm the daughter of a large family of barbers! Aye, we are de GoldenLocks family an' we take deadly pride in our manes. Oi followed in me family's 'oof steps an' Oi own a wee barber parlor 'ere in ponyville! It de family goal is ter make sure every mane in equestria falls perfectly an' wi' a family as big as mine, Oi'm sure 'tis already 'appenin'!

The mare let out a hardy laugh as she took another big bite out of her salad. As she chewed her food, she was beaming with joy; talking about her family always put her in a good mood.

Sky gave a modest chuckle at Luck's comment about his job. "I'm just doing what I can." he shrugged.

He listened with a smile as she told her own story. He found it funny that they both had followed in their parent's hoof steps when it came to their career choices.

"Have you been in Ponyville long, then?" he asked, taking a bite of an apple. He relaxed a little more as they conversed. Shear Luck seemed to be a nice pony, which helped.

Shimmer shrugged before saying, "I guess it is a pretty big coincedence we`re all her at the same time, isn`t it?" She then turned to Bramble. "So what happened with you? How did you end up here?"

"Me?" Bramble asked, her dark eyes widening for a moment. She cleared her throat, and scratched at the ground with her hoof as she mumbled out an answer. "I was sort of travelling with some ponies, but I got left behind. I couldn't find them so I decided to just carry on, on my own."

Shear Luck's eye shined with joy as Sky accepted her offer. She was glad she didn't have to enjoy this day by herself; even if it was just for a little bit. With a big grin, the mare chimed,

Shear Luck: Oi find it 'ard ter believe a fella like yer doesn't 'av any plans. Oi guess you'll 'av ter settle for me!

The mare let out a hardy laugh before levitated her fork Since she was a unicorn, she was able to use a fork; she also assumed everyone else used a fork and she levitated one to Sky. The mare couldn't help but grin as she picked out some fruit; just having some company was making her delighted. But she didn't know her company too and decided to get to know him better. As she brought an apple slice to her mouth, the mare asked,

Shear Luck: If yer don't mind, Oi would like ter know a bit about de fella Oi'm sharin' me lunch wi'. what's yer story, laddie?

Sky blushed, stammering for a moment. "Well, I- I'm not all that special." he gave a light hearted chuckle. "I grew up in Canterlot with my parents. My father was a royal guard back in his day, and I followed in his hoofprints, but I'm on leave for the time being and decided to spend the time off here." he shrugged.
"What about you? What do you do for a living?" he asked, tilting his head a little.
