Try MSI afterburner. Its a video card monitoring/overclocking program, but does come with a recording feature. Its the only free screen cap program I know of that can get great quality. Because of what the core program is, you may need a video card, so you might be out of luck if you don't have one.

I use fraps. I haven't really use it in any of my videos yet but the quality is good but the file size are huge. Make sure you have plenty of space on your computer. Also it cost 37$ but you only have to pay once and the updates are free. http://www.fraps.com/

You've gotta be kidding me....i've used this for a while and never knew that...heck, it may still be installed on my computer....

I use livestream procaster, but I don't know how good it is for recording games, I used it for my audacity tutorial

I've also had that problem with skyrim. It captured no audio and had an erratic frame rate. I did get it to record bioshock perfectly as well as a couple of emulators however.

That's your CPU, not GPU. Intel makes Central Processing Units (or processors.) AMD, Nvidia, and Radeon are the major Graphical Processing Unit (Graphics Card) manufacturers. I just want to make sure you know that because it's an important distinction in a growing technological world.

To stay on topic, I'd recommend Ezvid. I only have little actual experience with it, but from what the website says (and lack of a payment option anywhere I can find) and reviews I've seen, it seems pretty sweet.
