Alexander321

WARNING: The following character may or may not be Overpowered.

Name: Star Prance
Type: Alicorn
Coat: Mint Green
Mane & Tail: Indigo Blue
Eyes: Maroon(?)
Personality: Two words describe him far too well: Royal snob.  He calls anyone not rich or royal a 'commoner', and tends to look down at such people.  He is also boastful of his power.  Funniest thing is: His parents aren't {around} for him to prove that he's royalty.

Possessions: 17 sets of rust-resistant armor (They all have the awkward design of only covering his 'torso' and limbs) (He'd be caught dead if he were to be caught without a suit of armor), 7,000 butterflies of different sorts (They all hide at some spots here and there, and no one ever pays attention to them; butterflies are the only creatures that he doesn't need the Gluttonous Gift Curse to tame), 1 Hoof Polisher, 1 Purple Raccoon, 1 Living Popsicle, 1 Living Bubble

Abilities: Regardless of being an Alicorn, he only knows of so many spells:

-Banishment Curse (Can only be used on New Moon nights, and only once per), which can....well, banish people.  But into ghostly forms that are unable to react with or be seen by anyone else; however, they can only be heard by Prince Star Prance.  Beings under the Banishment Curse are temporarily (Depending on how long Star Prance wishes them to be under such a curse) immortal, and therefore do not age within this state.

-Relief Spell (Can only be used on Full Moons), which disables the Banishment Curse.

-Power Beam, which, as you can guess, is his strongest move.  Literally {Magically disapoofs} anything in range, albeit it can be used only so often, as well as limited range (Maximum of, in comparison, ten ponies long).

-Butterfly Shield Spell, which not only can disrupt his foes when they swarm around his foes, but also render mostly any spell used on them useless when formed into a condensed mass (Like a shield).

-Gluttonous Gift Curse, which is the summoning of a humongous (Size of an eyeball) piece of candy wrapped perfectly in a blue candy wrapper, is the sort of curse used for persuasion; works more often on animals, as they don't tend to have the brains to know that big food actually means trappings.  Anywho, those who consume the candy are filled with hypnotic magic, forcing the consumer to obey the whims of the being that summoned the candy.

He is sturdier than the average pony, although not as sturdy as, say, Big Macintosh.  However, he doesn't call himself the strongest for nothing; an average buck from this guy could almost {make very unhappy} unicorns.  It merely knocks out all other sorts of ponies. Power against other creatures may vary.

-What he lacks in complete strength, he makes up in stamina, to the extent of practically always standing back up strong even from taking a very heavy blow.  People tend to call him a stubborn fighter, with his refusal for surrender.

Traits: Jerk, Snob, Prideful, Caring (Only for family), Strong
Favorite Place: Anywhere but very dirty places
Favorite Color: His eyes
Favorite Food: Anything fancy
Affiliation: Himself, His family
Cutie Mark: A fist
Talent: Being powerful
Occupation: Prince (Only he knows of his title), Vagabond (Everyone else considers him this; and can't blame them because he travels a lot)

Bio: SPOILERS.

Appearance:
Spoiler: show
When in doubt, hotdogs.

Here to provide a critique:

You don't point out a Cutie Mark story, nor do you explain this pony's true talent. His Cutie Mark is there, but you haven't provided a reason for him having it, and power itself isn't really a talent in my opinion.

And as you said, the character is overpowered. Whilst being overpowered isn't necessarily a bad thing, most Alicorns have justifiable reasons for having said power. Take for instance Princess Celestia: She's the one who bring the sun into the sky each day and allows for life to thrive in Equestria. But I don't see these justifiable reasons being in this particular OC. Also, you speak of a Banishment Curse, which seeing has how your OC is a prince, it makes some sense, but having said that, you still need a reason as to how he became a worthy prince of Equestria. Alicorns have power, but "prince" or "princess" is just a title, similarly to how Prince Blueblood is. He's not an Alicorn, and he wouldn't even be royalty were it not for him being Celestia's nephew. Is he perhaps related to a prince/princess?

Also, you seem to contradict yourself a good deal. You say that "an average buck from this guy could almost {make very unhappy} unicorns.  It merely knocks out all other sorts of ponies", but in the very next line you say, "what he lacks in complete strength". It sounds like you're having trouble saying whether or not he should be strong or tough. Another spot in which you contradict yourself is saying he hates anything filthy, but saying he's a fighter. Fighting involves getting beat down a little, which involves falling into the dirt.

Not to be harsh, but I think this character requires a do-over.
