I don't think Q himself ever really became fully "good" either though I wouldn't have really considered him evil in the first place. Honestly, if you want to cause the maximum amount of chaos a chaotic neutral individual is best for it as both good and evil require some form of structure and order to maintain their places.

Well Discord never was evil, he just wanted to be chaosy my version of chaos is much stronger than his, he simply made everything funny, and he let the mane 6 banish him basically, maybe they taught him a lesson.  Maybe he'll be good.  And maybe he can have a chaos castle or a discordville or something for chaos friend ponies.

Discord did not let them banish him.

The only reason he sat back while they did that was because he thought that they couldn't banish him. He thought that he had completely defeated them. The entire point of him doing all the things he did in the maze was to make sure that they could not use the elements to banish him.


Anyway, like Dawnstar said, Discord seems more like a chaotic neutral character.
