Question is in the title, go!

Here's some stuff I'd like to see:

- a Scootaloo episode
- a Celestia/Luna history episode showing how they came to defeat Discord
- more of the cities explored (Baltimare, Los Pegasus, Manehattan, etc etc)
- Tartarus. 
- more adventure/action oriented episodes
- at least one more spoken line from Derpy
- Spike getting a little older/a little bigger

And I'd like to see Big Macintosh get an ep to himself too.
No, Hearts and Hooves Day did not count. He shared it with Cheerilee, and it was pretty much another CMC one anyway. :l

More of what it was like with Season 1.
Explaning every last plot hole.
If I went to count point at them, I'd kill a tree to get those sticks.

DERPY EPISODE PLZ. :P

I would love to see a Luna and Celestia episode. And maybe more history about them.  :)

Also, less Cadence and Shining Doormat, more villains (*crosses fingers for Tirek's Revenge*), and seaponies.

I... I want to see Thunderlane get another appearance. He was the best part of Hurricane Fluttershy.

pffff the steroid pony was better!

Odd reaction I kind of want to see more from there families such as the parents of them all and see how they would react if they were brought together

Especially Applejack's mother and father, as it appears her and Big Mac were raised on the farm by Granny Smith their entire lives.

I want to see more episodes like the Last Roundup, not because of Derpy having actual lines, but because it seemed like it had a bigger plot than the other episodes of season 2. Other than that, I want to see Trixie, Gilda, or Chrysalis again and Derpy Hooves should just stay as a background character since her words can rock the entire fanbase.

- Another Luna episode
- An adventure plot/villain or two
- A line for Doctor Whooves (preferably time-related and with a British accent)
- Travel/more pony cities
- Continuation of the Derpy awesomeness we've seen thus far
- A gryphon/griffon/griffin/ghryyfphone :0 that's actually good-hearted (REALLY want to see this, as I happen to love gryphs)
- Guest voice actors (particularly in cases like Discord) are always fun

That list got longer than intended...

Gustav wasn't a bad griffon, he was just French.

I would like to see large number of references to previous episodes, mcguffins and chekhovs guns that show up once and are later used as a crucial plot device, and in general some sort of story arc like they had for a bit in the first season.  Internal consistency is always a challenge, but i think a good one that can dramatically raise the quality and viewership of the show.

An episode on death and dealing with it, whether a pet or a random animal or even a character.  It's a difficult topic, but I think children can not only handle it, they should be exposed to it in order to help them cope with it early on.

Too bad Lauren Faust has already said that Scootaloo is not Rainbow Dash's sister. :s

I'd settle for an episode where Dash and Scootaloo interact with each other more, whether they work together or act like friends, or if they both have similar problems during an episode and help each other out.

Luna should have an episode were she tries to save somepony from becoming evil or something like that.

Maybe a season starter that focus' around Luna joining with the mane 6 to save celestia from the combined powers of Discord and Chrysalis?

That gives me a good idea actually how about an episode about an eclipse?I don't know much about the details ,but it should have a celebration when Luna ,and Celestia bring the moon ,and sun together.

But before she got banished, she already had ponies supporting her. "Well why is her name Nightmare?" Maybe it was propaganda from Celestia and it stuck, so Luna wanted everypony to know who she was and to remind the ponies who followed her, but then Celestia brainwashed all the ponies into thinking Luna was bad, and then after Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the mane 6 used the Elements of Harmony, Luna was also brainwashed. i would like to see some global plot extension (like spike finally saying to rarity that he loves her xD), but some "old stars" coming back, like trixie, anbd maybe some more derpy :3 :P

It's not really needed, the creators come to our conventions and even shoutouts, they should just keep doing what they've been doing.

Places we haven't seen! I want to get maybe a little better view of Manehattan, and it'd be nice to see Baltimare or Las Pegasus.

Having non europe and non pony centered cities and nations would be nice as well.  Maybe Zebraci or Griffonheimr or Ibexianese Empire.

I don't exactly see how the cities are European... :P

well, non-Western cities.

Well to be honest we've only seen 5 (1 very briefly) settlements so far (If I know my MLP, which I probably don't, only saw it 2 weeks ago), so we'll probably only see 1 more in Season 3. :P

I hope we can revisit some of those settlements.

It would be neat to get a glimpse of whatever country Zecora is from. After all, I'm assuming Equestria is a country, considering ponies founded it.

Ooh, I wonder if we'll get to see what has become of the country that the ponies in the past left when they founded Equestria (as told in the Hearthswarming Eve episode)! Is it a frozen wasteland? Are there now hardier fluffier ponies living there comfortably in snowy towns and cities?

not quite sure... it would be nice, but it ends that storyline, which would be interesting to continue.  to me, at least.

I'd like to see Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon get redeemed.  If Luna can be redeemed, DT and SS should be able to be redeemed also!  They probably have reasons for wanting to make others feel bad, whether it be broken families or personal issues, and I hope they can explore it, even if in a simplistic manner.

true, but their reason for crusading, the root of their passion, would be gone.  They say the wait is always better than just getting the real thing.

I have a feeling that when the CMC get their cutie marks, it'll be a sign that the show is coming to a conclusion. Hopefully not, I would love to see them get their marks, and then have episodes based around their talents, or just other adventures the trio do.

On a topic of their curitemarks, I'm curious as to what they will be. It's obvious that Sweetie Belle is going to be a singer and Scootaloo is going to be some sort of speed demon, but Applebloom has two possibilities. She's clearly good at construction/renovation, but she also spends a lot of time with Zecora and probably learns a bit about potion making. Hers I am most interested in finding out.

I hope Applebloom gets a talent in potion making. :3 Or she could be a construction/renovation pony whose hobby is potion making.

I mean seriously, you learn about 3 words at the very beginning of Season 1 (When Spike is being an illiterate fool, and it explains what impending and brink means etc.), so you think, yeah might be some education in this.

And then its like, 'Well the educational bit is over, onto the good stuff', I mean IT'S AWESOME! xD

I think one way I'd be ok with them dropping Shining Armor and Cadence is if they did something like have the couple tell the others that they're going to travel somewhere else to do good things or whatever. It could be a good episode about how goodbye doesn't always have to mean goodbye and doesn't have to be a really, really sad occasion.

Thats actualy a really good idea for an ep... still want a derpy one!

The word Derpy refers to clumsy ,and in no way retarded this pony is accepted among every other one in the show actually showing that dis orated people can be accepted by the community also if you notice there was no direct insult to derpy the true action of the show is to make her lovable by giving her a cute personality.

Well, there were people complaining that it upset their kids/siblings who were mentally challenged when they found out that Derpy had been changed/censored. One person even stated that her little brother really liked Derpy because she was different like him, and he gets treated badly at school for being the way he is.


Hmmm. Well, there's still the idea I had for an episode. I came up with an episode that would have two lessons:
1. If you accidentally do something you're not supposed to or you didn't know you weren't supposed to do it, take responsibility for it instead of trying to hide it (kids hide things a lot in fear of being in trouble). Things can only get worse if you hide what happened and lie about it.
2. If your friend accidentally does something or didn't know they weren't supposed to do something, don't be too hard on them. Try to see it their way and forgive them.

To explain, here's what I had in mind: Rainbow Dash is practicing her flying tricks one morning, when she crashes into something and flies out of control. She crash lands through an open window in the top floor of Rarity's boutique and accidentally breaks Rarity's favorite vase! Knowing that Rarity would be very upset if she found out, Dashie sweeps the pieces into a bag and flies away to try to fix it herself.
    Maybe she accidentally leaves a piece behind. And maybe Scootaloo has a similar problem, and her and Dash's paths cross at some point in the episode.

That would be interesting to see happen 8)

having a dual lesson like that would be quite nice.  Hopefully the execs are willing to actually try.

The rest which I have not written is Spike will be took to a dungeon because he "is a threat" and the mane six are not allowed to see Twilight. Rarity hatches a plan to save her by pretending to be one of her servants. They later find the true princess and Twilight and Spike are let go.

The rest which I have not written is Spike will be took to a dungeon because he "is a threat" and the mane six are not allowed to see Twilight. Rarity hatches a plan to save her by pretending to be one of her servants. They later find the true princess and Twilight and Spike are let go.

Isn't there some kind of classic tale of someone having a birthmark and is mistaken for something great, but it turns out not to be a birthmark? ovO Kinda reminds me of an episode of Sagwa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagwa,_the_Chinese_Siamese_Cat), where Sagwa's little sister Sheegwa had a star-shaped mark in her fur, so the humans thought she was part of a prophecy. It turned out to be dirt. lol

I almost thought that story was going to turn out a lot darker x3  but maybe having a mother-son or older sister- younger brother sort of relationship and creating a sort of aesop for that would be nice.

MLP:FIM has been mostly logical and not-cartoonish for its duration.  And psychopaths are one thing they're not going to be putting into the show for any long duration, given their target demographic.

saw that vid to, it w as really awesome, concidering I was a MLP gen-1 fan to ^-^ (yes, I know, I'm old  >:/) also, Rainbow's epic introduction, where she crashes into Twilight and covers her in mud, is a tribute to Rainbow's inspiration FireFly's epic crash landing into the original Apple Jack, in the very first pilot episode, coving them both in applesauce..

Well, they have been referencing previous generations. Like the rainbow that the mane six use with the EoH references the Rainbow of Light or whatever. I dunno, I was shown a video pointing out a lot of the references. Also, Pinkie's first actual line (unless you count *GAAAASP* for some reason) is the name of the pony she was originally going to be, a pegasus named Surprise.

there will always be complaints since some people seem to take things in a wrong way.
i actully remeber someone complained about the only brown pony that was in the first episode was a guard for celestia and therefore something "less" and she called it racism.

there is a background story for that aswell. a few years back moot decided to troll everyone so he said he will shut down 4chan becuase everything became boring, iritating and all sorts of that.
/b/ was raging about it and everything turned it to chaos. yes chaos on /b/! and everyyear he posts that to remind us of that day... but aperently twice a year now. and its easy to see all the new people coming in aswell. when they rage about it, hah! ovO

Lesson Zero's lesson was to take your friend seriously when they think they have a problem, right? I kinda want there to be a lesson about trying to see things from someone else's point of view.

Like, Sweetiebelle doesn't want to do something because it's so big and scary and she's so small, but Rarity ignores it. But then, there's an accident, and Rarity shrinks. She's hesitant to do some things because the size difference is so daunting, and then she remembers what it's like to be a little filly, afraid of things like big roller coasters and deep swimming pools and such.

i'd like to see a villain turn into a believable character, maybe with just the tiniest bit of angst

That too. o_O That should definitely happen, to give the mane 6 more depth and more flaws. It even adds to the fact that it's still nice to dream.

I'd also really like a backstory or secret that could shed some light on why Rainbow Dash wants so badly to be a Wonderbolt. We know why Fluttershy is so shy; she was bullied as a filly. We know why Pinkie's so cheerful and wants everypony to be happy; she lived in a sad place, she never wants to let herself get sad like that again, and she knows how horrible it feels to be really sad.

My biggest objection to "MLP is just a show for little girls" is the fact that Lauren Faust has stated that she aimed it at little girls and their parents. Therefore, it's not solely for little girls. But yes, its demographic was supposed to be little girls with things tossed in for older people of both sexes to enjoy as well. Though, there's still the fact that the show has evolved to where they now also throw in things as nods to bronies, accepting bronies into the demographic, but not letting it overrun the show and turn it into a show for teen and adult men.

Actually Cishio I think your on to something maybe just sort of like this:A pony can't access her home ,and has to live with another one.Why?I don't know house rennovations maybe?Then the pony that owns the house the other pony is living in finds that the pony is hard to live with ,and fixes that gives a lesson of not taking advantage of being a guest to your friends.That was confusing read this as an example ,but it could work with anypony this is just an example:

Rarity and Twilight are arguing on what todo and Pinkie Pie is disappearing and reappearing with food. Near the end of episode, they find out that Pinkie Pie has been visiting a tribe of island ponies(or zebras) who lived around the corner and they were giving her food.

I'm personally thinking that Cadence the word makes more sense, given that there generally is a connection to words, rather than a simple random name.  Also, I'm banking on the Mi Amore, just because it plays on her power so conveniently. 

Now, if they really wanted to have some fun with names outside of the convention, I'd love to see Basque or Semitic roots... (But I'm a compulsive linguist, so that's just me...)

The MLP Wikia is edited by the public. ^-^ If the book that the wedding episode is based on says Cadance, then oh well. Cadence just makes more sense to me, not only because spell check says Cadance is misspelled, but also because of the Cadenza part of her name. Cadenza -> Cadence. Also, look at this part of that wikia page: "Prior to the episodes' airing, a New York Times ad gave Cadance's full title as Princess Mi Amore Cadenza,[2] mi amore Cadenza being Italian for my love Cadence."

Seriously, some people insist that it's Cadance, but that shows up as misspelled on spell check. However, spell check has absolutely no problem with Cadence.

And I'm kinda hoping her full name is at least creatively spelled and not straight-up Mi Amore Cadenza. After all, "mi amore" is Italian for "my love". It's a little awkward to live life with everyone calling you "my love". What if her first name is actually Mia, not Mi?

I'm personally thinking that Cadence the word makes more sense, given that there generally is a connection to words, rather than a simple random name.  Also, I'm banking on the Mi Amore, just because it plays on her power so conveniently. 

Now, if they really wanted to have some fun with names outside of the convention, I'd love to see Basque or Semitic roots... (But I'm a compulsive linguist, so that's just me...)

Her first name being Mia and her middle name some sort of spelling that sounds like the "more" part of amore would be even more of a play on words, while being an actual name. x3 Though, now that I see her full name was revealed by a New York Times ad, I know it really is Mi Amore Cadenza. I'm slightly disappointed there wasn't as much wordplay as I'd expect.

I think that if they're far enough away, it shouldn't be an issue... takes a lot to "flash" a long distance, it seems.

She could've been busy moving the sun and flew down to ponyville afterwards. I also have my own evidence to prove they can't teleport far, Why do they have to use chariots? There's also this scene,

Chariots are to show power.

No there is a distance limit to the teleport spell thats why they use chariots.

I'd say a mix of both.

Also, in S2E3 at the end, after she says "I am expecting some mail" and takes off, she teleports immediately after that. And, although you don't see it in that same episode, I'm pretty sure she teleports to Twilight's location after receiving the letter from Spike.

Mulan - Chang discovers that his father died on a battlefield, and I'm pretty sure the villain dies at the end

While I think the idea is great and educational, I think an orphan would create a character, that children will get attached  to, similar to CMC and so on, and I'm not sure if they want to create another secondary main char..

Rainbow Dash should be an earthpony because she seems to rely on flying a lot. She probably takes it for granted.
Applejack might take her strength for granted, and Fluttershy isn't exactly the strongest pony.

Opal and Angel seem to be the only ones that you actually see on a some-what regular basis, but that's only because they'll actually have a small role in the episode. You'll never see a pet unless it has an actual role. Why can't the pets just hang out in the background, like the background ponies?

I mean Tank disappears after 'May the Best Pet Win!' and you only see Owlicious in 2 episodes.

After the ham sandwich debacle, I spent some time thinking about it, only to conclude the very slim possibility that the sandwich could have been prepared for Spike. But that's highly unlikely, and ponies do not seem capable of straight up butchering. So I'll; just go with: It was an animators brainfart and they simply rushed in a generic sandwich in which holds no real meaning in the world of Equestria. Or ponies are developing a sweet tooth for meat.

Yeah, they've been slipping up a bit, trying to let the ponies be relate-able to for humans. What do lots of humans eat? Sandwiches. Mmmm!

I want to see burritos, tacos, and chilles in the show. Just because I find them likely awesome

they were doing fine in Season 1, grass sandwiches, the "Four Food Groups" including grasses and flowers, Pinkie noting that every group present ate plant-specific products, Rarity's clothing being entirely equine-centric, etc.

Ditzy Doo,  I would also like to see an episode about Princess Celestia, Princess Luna had an episode about her trying to fit in during nightmare night so hopefully there will be an episode about Princess Celestia.  I know i want to see more of the Mane Six, especially Rainbow Dash. lol

Derpy Hooves and Vinyl Scratch are best background ponies. :3 Though, Derpy's in the background in almost every episode. We've only seen Vinyl twice. I wanna see a little more of Vinyl. ^-^

Ever since mid-season-2 I've been wanting more Applejack. :c She's only had 3 episodes. One in season 1, and two in season 2, but she was kind of overshadowed in both her season 2 episodes. And she doesn't have her own song yet. I think even Rainbow Dash has gotten to sing more than Applejack.

I'm actually itching for an Applejck/Apple family episode in which we find out where or what happened to her parents.

I've always wanted to see more Apple family history ever since I watched the episode cutie mark chronicles, and the episodes Applejack starred in, I also wonder why she hasn't had a song yet hopefully this season will have an in depth episode about Applejack, or even next season at least if it's in the works.

I'm also hoping they someday explain what happened to her parents as well. I doubt they would have left the farm randomly, obviously something probably did happen to them that just hasn't been explained yet or thought of by the writers.

Lauren Faust thought up something that happened to Applejack's parents, but she said that she decided not to make an episode about it because it's a bit too sad. I still hope they make an episode explaining their absence, though.

Nah, it's 'cause the show definitely wouldn't do it. TV shows for kids and pre-teens just aren't quite brave enough yet to step up and show... well... y'know.. yet. MLP is definitely not gonna be revolutionary in that way. The consequences would not be in their favor.

[Edit]: Maybe an episode where tons of ponies in Ponyville do something for a week to support something, but one of the mane six doesn't really support nor oppose it. She's just indifferent about it. But the other ponies get onto her about it and are upset because she doesn't support what they support.

That reminds me of what happened in Jimmy Neutron. There was an episode where he made the greatest candy ever, but everyone became addicted to it and begged him for more. He finally decided to get them to stop eating it by making a batch that electrocutes you when you eat it. The only one left eating it was Sheen who proclaimed it was the best batch yet.

I can imagine if it went a similar way in MLP, Pinkie would be in Sheen's place. ovO

If they get her voice right this time, instead of the VA thinking Derpy's a boy, then it could go alright. It also kind of depends on the plot of the episode. I'd prefer for them to go with what some bronies consider Derpy to be like: Intelligent, but clumsy, just not always showing just how smart she is. She's not a dumbdumb. She just has impaired vision and low hand-eye coordination. Er... hoof-eye.

A new villain, someone more evil than discord but less showy that Chrysalis. Oh, maybe combine this one and the one above (Discords return) and make Discord fight alongside the Mane 6 to rid Equestria of this new and even more powerful foe. Eh, why not, Chrysalis can be there too.
Big Mac gets his own episode
Some Explanation about the Mane 6's family. We know next to nothing about pretty much everypony's family...
A Present day visit to any of those background cities, Manehatten, Baltimare, Las Pegasus, etc.
An Episode about the old world, you know... where the three tribes of ponies came from after they argued way too much and froze the land to the high heavens.
A Clear Brony/Pegasister shout out (like to the fans, not to any specific brony/pegasister.) Like, one of the characters says, "He's my Brony!" She's my Pegasister!" or something along those lines.

Things I dont want to see:
Return of Gilda (how dare she yell at Fluttershy!)
A Derpy Centered Episode (if she had her own episode it would lessen the amazingness of her voice, we would hear it too much and wear it out. This is also the reason I refuse to Listen to "Smile Smile Smile!" more than once a year. I don't want to wear it out)
An Episode about Sea Ponies, I just dont know what is up with sea ponies...
An Episode about Death and/or terminal disease... Ponies are magic, they live forever, boom all your questions have been answered.

If they do, it better be at the end of the series.

I think they're leaving it open(wisely) for the fanbase to have a more broad list of topics to write stories off of.
There'd be a lot less fan fiction possibilities if they were paired up by the show.

how they decide to go with things this season will greatly influence whether or not they continue with their momentum or slam to a halt.  They've had dedicated fanbases in the past, and lost them for silly reasons.  Let's hope they don't have another "silly reason" this time.
