I don't understand why you can't leave the servers open. Lots of people want them open but it's so hard to wait! Is there a private server I can join? :D

The game is still being created. Yes, there's enough it can be played, but adding the rest can't be done
while it's being played. More towns, more creatures, more things to shop for, more quests...
We are lucky that a game that's just entered alpha-development stage has been made available at all. Most aren't seen outside of screen shots before Beta, and then only to selected testers.
As per our FAQ, there is no set release date. Once the game is developed we can and will open the servers permanently. As of now we are not able to do so as development is still underway.
