Escape to the future (Sign-Up RP)

[Nocturna]

"Remember that legend we heard a while back?" A stallion states as the group nears a small group of guards. "About how on this date something big happened that changed everything? Something about the flow of time or something?" A mare replies. "Indeed, such is why we were sent back to this time period. We must be on watch, or there will be trouble," The stallion responds. Nocturna slightly curses herself for leading their group within earshot to this, but hoped that they wouldn't assume anything.

[Maplewood]

Maple using his augmented ears manages to pick up most of the conversation and starts to circle around away from the group

[Peace Keeper]

Wait... what? Time period?
What is it Keeper?
They said something about time travel and... I think they heard our plan.
Oh crud.

[Nocturna]

"We cannot take them by force, this much is true," Nocturna says. "However, we can trick them and lure them away. They're very jumpy, they can easily be thrown off. We need enough time to utilize the spell," She continues.

[Peace Keeper]

So how do we trick em?

[Nocturna]

"Could you create an illusion in their eyesight of a pony running and screaming?" Nocturna pitches in, curious.

[Gracie Sky]

Gracie's ears flickered as she listened to Nocturna's plan. A simply marvelous idea popped up in her head!

"Wait! I got an idea! Instead of an illusion, how about a real pony running and screaming! I am an expert at running and I can also scream a lot too when I want to!"

[Nocturna]

"Then they'd chase after you, then even I don't know what would happen," Nocturna replies, swiftly.

[Peace Keeper]

I got an idea. I know instant transmission. I can run across, then teleport to you using instant transmission. The cool thing about it is that it doesn't make a poof sound. It is silent and won't know I even disappeared.

"That sounds like a hassle." Illusion had said. "Plus, hello, Illusion's my name! It wouldn't be any trouble for me to lead them on a grand, merry chase! Just say the word, and I'll have them running!"

[Maplewood]

Maple having circled around poked his head out right in front of  the guards

"sir why are you hiding behind that pillar?" one asked curious

[Nocturna]

"No better time than the present," Nocturna tells Illusion.

Illusion nodded, a devious grin on his face while horn glowed, as he worked his magic. This was going to be entertaining.

[glow=blue,2,300]"Is it not obvious!?"[/glow] A voice similar to Illusion's all but shouted, as a pony clothed in dark blue and wearing a large brown wizard hat, hiding his face in shadow, slid into Maple, knocking him flat onto his rear (In reality, some somewhat cleverly concealed telekinesis).

[glow=blue,2,300]"He is admiring it. It is a rather nice pillar, after all."[/glow] The faceless pony said, nodding in approval towards the pillar.
One of the guards opened their mouth as if to speak, but he interrupted. [glow=blue,2,300]"Ah, I know what you are about to say. Who am I, you may ask? Names are unimportant, but you will know me as the colt who traveled through time! Oh, you have already heard of my deeds, but are you willing to see for yourself?! No? Too bad!"[/glow]

The guards were, of course, suspicious of this supposed time-traveler being so open with his intentions. One turned to their comrade, who shrugged, before turning back and advancing on him.

It went something like this. Guard asked "Big-hat" to stop his nonsense, Big-hat refuses, guard threatens to use force, Big-hat dares them to try. One last time, the guard tried to get him to surrender, demanding he get down on the ground.

The response? Breaker coughed loudly (and it was odd how the guards didn't hear) as the pony was making his retort, but one got the impression he said something highly insulting about the guards' mothers. (If asked, Illusion would claim he'd made big-hat call them hamsters). Oddly, Illusion's hooves went to cover Gracie's ears when big-hat had said whatever insult he'd thrown.

Let's just say the guards took exception to that comment. With little warning other than a scream of rage, Big-hat was jumped, hooves flying everywhere as a cloud of dust was kicked up by the scuffle.
Before long, however, the ruckus died down, and the target of their wrath was nowhere to be seen.

[glow=blue,2,300]"Hey, blockheads!"[/glow] The voice of big-hat called out. Looking towards the source of the noise, they saw him standing not too far away. [glow=blue,2,300]"You missed!"[/glow]

He then took off running out of the vicinity, letting out a strange noise... Of the "woop woop" variety, if that somehow makes any sense.

Being somewhat sore, and incredibly, INCREDIBLY angry towards him, it was no surprise that the majority of guards took off after him, paying barely any attention to maple.

[Maplewood]

Maple watched this with complete anger and face hooves as the guards fell for it

[Nocturna]

Nocturna manages to sneak into the room during the chaos, seeing a very vibrant area of varying symbols and housing books of immense power. Her sinister smile appears again before disappearing, as she gathers the necessary material for time travel.

[Peace Keeper]

The Peaces follow behind.

Good one there. Looks like we are in the clear.

[Nocturna]

"Indeed. This room holds exactly what's needed," Nocturna cryptically says. "I believe I have everything, now we only need to utilize it," She continues.

[Gracie Sky]

Gracie Sky pranced around Nocturna as she was explaining these things. Even though they were in a castle, which she evidently wasn't fond of, this particular room was so curious! She had never seen anything like all these runes and materials that were scattered all over the place. Since Nocturna seemed to be the only pony around that was familiar with this setting, Gracie began directing her powers of suggestion (baby doll eyes), in hopes that something cool would happen. Eventually, she just couldn't contain herself any longer.

"Wow! This place is all glowy! Is like like a magic room or something? Look! There's a book over here! It's really thick! Ooh, another book! Wow! There must be at least ten books on this shelf. How come they are all so big? I'll never be able to read this! What are these strange looking letters on this book? I wanna take one of these wierd rocks home with me! Can I, please? I just want one! This one is my favorite looking one! See how it glows green? I really like green!"

[Nocturna]

"Sadly, we need that 'rock'," Nocturna states, her smile faltering a good bit. "In any case, once the rest get in here you'll see what the 'letters' are," She continues, setting everything into place.

[Peace Keeper]

So this is the room. Wow, really does look like a good place to teleport.
So how would it work to return home?
