[Gracie Sky]

As Gracie was trying to reason with the two arguing ponies, Breaker grabbed her and pulled her away from the conflict. She objected to being pulled away, but then a few things were explained to her. She wasn't following what Breaker was telling her, since her mind was still occupied with trying to stop the arguing, but she did catch onto that reminded her to ask what they were arguing about in the first place.

All it came down to now is if Gracie wanted to know such information. "Yes! I mean... no! I mean... it doesn't matter! I don't understand adults! They always seem to argue and disagree! They're like bullies to each other and I don't like bullies! And look everytime and see when ponies are mad and yell a lot, they're always sad afterwards. I don't understand why ponies want to be sad! It makes me feel sad too and I don't like being sad!"

((So much for a fun little sub-plot for character development, I suppose. Where should we go from here, since my idea got skewered, and I have very little in terms of transition now to the main story?))

A group of ponies of unknown race walk on a trail near where the camp and cave are located.


WAIT!!! I can feel a couple ponies coming over near here! Everyone hide! Close the boulder! We can't be found.
*Surprised and scared* What!? Uh... alright!
Hastingly, both brothers rush over trying to cover their tracks and seal the door as quickly and silently as possible.

As they hid maple made one last comment "of course that's what they told me so who now's"

Breaker took a few moments to decide how to word his explanation. "From what I understand, Nocturna, the grey vampony, had a foal. One day... Another pony, who I think whose name is Greenlight, she..."
"She promised to look after Nocty's kid..." Said his brother, who, believing he could play no further part in the argument, returned to Breaker's side. "Thing is, the moment Nocturna left the two alone, the pony Greenlight hurt her foal, hurt her real bad and effectively took her away from her mother, and did so in a way that she'd never see her again."

Illusion had been about to elaborate what that had to do with the argument when the unknown ponies were detected. That didn't stop him, though, as he lowered his voice to little more than a whisper while breaker rushed to seal the cavern entrance with the Peace brothers.
"Short version: Bad pony hurt Nocturna and her foal, Nocturna retaliated and got chased away, cyborg named Maple goes behind her back to speak to bad pony, Nocty gets angry about it. Bad pony also hates non earth-ponies, and Maple's speaking to her has apparently put us all in danger."

Gracie suddenly found herself being led back into the cave with Breaker and Illusion talking to her about the scenario regarding Nocturna and another pony named Greenlight. Unfortunately, 90% of the story went over her head, but she cheerfully nodded as she was being spoken to. The 10% she did retain was the word "foal" and "mother".

Gracie wasn't even sure why they all were walking into the cave. However, she was glad that finally on the move, even if they were simply going back to that wierd cave. Hopefully they weren't going in there just to argue more!

[Peace Keeper]

They finally closed the cave and sealed the cracks as best they can to make it incospiquous.

Shh... let's quiet down

From outside, sounding closer.

... like the camp has been there for a while. Wonder who lived there?
Not sure. Hopefully it isn't a spy. They said also a vampony be hiding in the woods. You think this is that camp?
You may never know. Some other ponies hide like that. Hey, you noticed that one pony with pieces armor around him with the covered eye?
Yea. That new Earth pony that came in?
Something seems odd about him. Also that blue pony with him and the filly. their clothing is like a strange material.
They probably from another village.
Probably. I just have a feeling that pony is hiding something under that cloth. I can tell, just like those pegasi. They think they can take our stuff with their robes. Locked them up in our dungeon for their crime.

The only thing going though maple mind was how she has known about the 11th battalion

"This is what happens I suppose. Give me a reason I should continue to assist, Sir Maplewood, and I may be able to get them away quickly." Nocturna states.

[Peace Keeper]

The ponies outside approaches closer.

Yea. But I just wish some pegasi were actually nice enough and not too demanding. They are all super egotistic.
I hear that. Just comes to show... wait...
The pony looks around the cliffs, hearing some rocks crumbling from the top.

*whispering*Let's talk it normally so they don't suspect us.
*back to regular* I think I just remembered to help miss Meadows with the shop. *walking around, walking around to the cliff*
Uh... really?
Yea! I think, uh... WOAH! Ow, hit myself, need help. *trying to sound sarcastically*
Oh... what happened?
*whispering* I found some tracks.
*normal sound* I just hit my flank on the rock. Well... let's go back up.

Inside the cave...
*concentrating on sensing magic and whispering* I am sensing two of them. They are around us right now.
Hopefully they don't find us.

Gracie was sitting next to the Peace brothers, still trying to ascertain what exactly was going on and why she was brought back to the cave. She was really itching to go do something adventurous or at least in the general direction of Canterlot. She overheard one of them whispering about two ponies outside and not being found by those ponies. It was interesting enough to her to merit her own inquisition into the matter.

"Why are we hiding from them? I wanna go meet them! I bet they're good ponies!"

[Peace Keeper]

*whispering* They don't sound like nice ponies to other races. They said the locked a pegasus up for trying to hide their wings to take their stuff. Pretty much not pegasus-friendly at all. It's best to stay here till they leave. Then maybe we can go exploring.

Illusion had his head almost pressed against the rock that blocked the entrance, trying to hear what was going on outside. Were his eyes opened, they would've widened after hearing one of the two ponies "hit themselves".

"They know...!" He whispered as loud as he would dare. "Brother, how can you-?" Breaker tried to ask, before being interrupted.
"You know I've been a spy a lot longer than you, brother. You tell lies as often as I do, and you tend to be able to spot the bad ones...!"

[lightspeed_flash]

*Mystic wakes up from a long sleep* "hey whats going on guys..... I think I over slept... sorry about that *she whispers to peace keeper and maker*

[Peace Keeper]

(Oh darn she woke up.) *whispering* Right now we are covering things up because I hear bad ponies outside.

[Gracie Sky]

Gracie frowned, still unsatisfied with hiding in this cave from the two ponies outside. Unfortunately for her, she had no idea what she could do about it. The most rational choice was to just sit by idly and wait to see what happened. However, Gracie felt a combination of restlessness and danger flood her thoughts. What exactly would happen if they were discovered? Why didn't the two ponies outside leave by now? What were they doing here in the first place? It seemed the only thing the group knew about them was that there were two of them and something about not liking Pegasi. This didn't sit well with Gracie as a means to judge these ponies as a threat. After all, she was able to recall yesterday, when she was a stranger to the group and they treated her as a threat. Now they (hopefully) knew that she wasn't threatening at all, and that there was the possibility that they weren't either.

Frustrated, Gracie glared at Peacekeeper. "How do you know they are bad? Maybe they aren't that bad! We're not even giving them a chance! If they don't like Pegasi, then maybe you can talk to them instead! We're just as suspicious as they are if we're all hiding in this cave. I don't like this! I don't! Maybe they're lost or need help. Even if they aren't all that good, we gotta at least try! If you don't want to try, then I will! Even if they don't like me for being a Pegasus, I can still try to change their minds!"

With that, Gracie attempted to move the boulder out of her way with her head, but the things are far too big for her to even budge.

[lightspeed_flash]

*nods* oh... ok she whispers to keeper

A great thud is heard from the rock and the rock nudges a few centimeters.

They found us.

As much as I really want that to happen, it really is dangerous to meet them. I wanna keep you safe Gracie.

Everyone, we hide or teleport?

The rock thuds and nudges again, now showing light from outside.

"Teleport us to the path to the castle, we'll start going that way. I already know what we need to do, I'll explain it when we arrive," Nocturna says quickly.

Maple began to think about his current situation like how did she know about that group or even better was she from this time period at all
