Parfait Tastes Like Diabetes.
Odette is a much more realistic pony to me and I like her design a lot more. Ever since Fluttershy, I haven't seen any other pony who enjoys talking to wildlife of any sort. It's good to see this. I also am fond of her colors, light blue and white seem to go well together.
Just wondering if Odette would be a good pony name, as I am unaware of its meaning. Most pony names you can easily tell the meaning behind such names, like Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about "abuse" in Equestria; perhaps a different approach could be used, like "picked on". Lastly, "small weak and frail" sound... uh... typical. I could see her describing herself as that, but it's not wise to leave it at that. Very rarely is a pony as weak and frail as they believe they are, and there is normally a good reason for it. As long as you have something planned for her that offsets or balances her perception on her lack of physical capabilities, it should work out.

You should really stick to this idea, this is boarder line brilliant. Everypony loves ice cream, I don't know why there aren't more ice cream sellers out there.
With that said, there are a few design flaws with the character. I won't go into depth on them, because they are nothing more than my opinion. If you don't want to change them, it's fine either way.

You might want to change the whole "dying" thing... It's not really the Equestrian way. Just for your consideration.
As for the hybrid thing... uh... I have no positive or negative feedback for that. It's science. In Equestria. Who knows where that will lead?

I like the name, it's very interesting!
The color scheme is also very... interesting... but not really in a good way.
I like what he is, though. We need more engineer ponies.

This is a very interesting approach... hmm. Two ponies that are introverted but have the talents that draw the attention of other ponies to them. It's a little ironic, but it definitely sets up a lot of misadventures, which I think will help them develop themselves.
The only issue I have is Jet's name. I think it's too short. He might need a last name to increase the number of syllables above one. Of course... there's no rule saying that you have to have a long name... it just sticks out to me for some reason.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.... still needs improvement. Or at least I should bring up some contradictions and you can address them at your leisure. These are the questions other ponies will be asking themselves when they read it, so it's important for you to have an answer to them. Whether or whether not you choose to reveal such reasons right now is up to you, of course.
1) I'll ignore why he's in a maze in the first place. I'm sure you have a good reason as to why he is in a villain's maze.
2) Would every pony really raid the armory to destroy the lair if they saw a fight between a villain and Canterlot forces. If it were me, I would hide somewhere and hope the villain didn't find me. Of course, that's just a matter of preference.
3) Why didn't he look for help, or why didn't the Canterlot army notice him?

This is a really good idea, I should have thought of this myself, since I enjoy seeing what creativity other people come up with for characters.
Well, while you're here and offering, I guess it wouldn't hurt if you took a look at my wall of text of an OC. I don't think you read it, but a few ponies on the concept team blew me up about it... although I sort of was expecting it. You'll probably understand if you took a look at it.

Be assured everything I put in there was deliberate and possesses a rational explanation... that I won't tell you about right now but is still embedded in the complexity of her story. So don't run around screaming Mary Sue like Tater did, please. v_v
EDIT: Oh, while I'm thinking about it: her color scheme. I made it in pony creator and only later did I find out it's almost identical to another pony's color scheme when I was watching the Royal Wedding and saw what I thought to be Gracie's unknown Earth Pony older sister running the kitchen with Applejack. Learned it was Apple Fritter. I probably have to change Gracie's color scheme and pay more attention to the background ponies...

I personally prefer Sonic 2. Nice and simple, and Tails was just adorable. A rare sequel I found to be better than the original.
I guess SA2 deserves honorable mention in the 3d department because of its soundtrack.

I like the idea of this pony. Archaeology is rarely explored, so there are a lot of potential here.
I'm not too fond of his choice of apparel, or how much school he had to attend. Then again, I don't know how high education in Equestria gets. I just know there is an elementary school.

The character is extremely Sueish and the story is difficult to believe from a logical stand point.

It's an okay start if you are new at making new characters. Just a few things to be cautious about. First, he doesn't know his past, save for destroying a so-called villain. You need to be especially careful with what you have planned for him, if you decide to develop his past. It needs to be believable, and nopony is going believe a pony who has the power to destroy a lair but suffers from a mysterious amnesia and reduces himself to wandering aimlessly until his powers are provoked again. He also has a lot of clothes for a pony.
I'm really intrigued by his name though. Very interesting indeed. One of the more original names I've seen.

As far as the ponies go from what I read, I like where they are headed. An author pony and another musical pony. They would fit really well in a normal society.

I always wanted to name a Therapist pony "Basket Case", but he doesn't look like one. He actually looks like a Therapist.
When I see him, the word "Cushion" comes to mind. It has a double meaning with his cutie mark and the sort of personality he most likely has. Now the tricky part is figuring out a complimentary word for that name to complete it.
The best shot I see for this character is a color reference. Thankfully, he's Lavender. Lavender sounds nice next to Cushion. Although... it does sound like he's a cushion instead of a pony with that sort of name... I think that's the best I'm going to do, though.

You know...? Now that I think about it again, it reminds me too much of the Zelda movie and might be just some sort of prank to get attention. Maybe it's just because when I see this, I already know what's happening and stuff, but still... the preview is just giving away too much I think.
If it does go through, it's probably going to end up like the Tales of Symphonia OVA, and will severely skew away from the original plot development, although the outcome will most likely be the same.
