The Open Server Weekend is now finished! We had a super-fun time, and we learned a lot. I hope you all had fun, and we will be sure to have another open server event soon.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game  :D

Thanks for all the hard work you all put into this; it's amazing at all the effort you guys do to make this project a reality. Sure, yeah, I (and a lot of others) faced frequent DC's on some servers and whatnot, but to meet new people and to work together with them in this game was a very abundant experience for me.

I look forward to the next OSW if there is gonna be one, and keep up the AWESOME work.  0:)

I had a great time this open server, with friends and by myself, and was very much surprised by the attack on Cantermore. I can't wait until the next open server.

I had such a blast this open server weekend! I met a lot of awesome people, and i can't wait to play with them again next time the servers open! So many funny/awesome moments, especially the dragon doomsday at the end! Still sad that croupade closed prematurely, but oh well, I still had fun.

Glad everyone had a great time!  Remember, the dragons are waiting.

Was tons of fun. Didn't make too many long time friends but hey, I had some interesting conversations and tons of fun beating up dragons (actually I was generally the one getting beaten up on).

Wow, that was the most fun I've had in a while. So much work has been done on the game since the previous builds and I'm so looking forward to the final product when it is finished. Lots of crazy stuff happened like the attack of Pinkie clones, all of the fun dance parties, and The Almighty PONE Singularity of Divinity that we forged outside of Sugarcube Corner. Lots of fun guys, things like this just remind me of how awesome this fandom is.  :D

Personally, I'd call this stress test a meh. The lag spikes made it unbearable.

In comparison to the previous, which was a helluva lot better One of the things added seems to be breaking game stability, or the server internets were performing bellow expectation.

Frickin' fantastic! It was a wonder and a delight to play! I had some good chats and good times ~

But holy crackers! That all out Dragon War was brutal mates! What a way to go out...
... in FIRE and BRIMSTONE!  *shakes head in awe*

All 'n all, a highly enjoyable experience. Looking forward to the finished product, for sure!

3rd Server Test for me is done! Yay!
It was quite fun! Although my home Capriole server went derpy last hours :U
And... DRAGONS! In Ponydale, in Cantermore, in the forests!
And new items, hah. Got to work like an earthpony to get them :D

The dragon and the bees made me an Allergic, thanks, Croupade.

At the end when the dragons showed up in Cantermore it was intense. Then, just when you think the server is gonna shut down: BONUS ROUND! O:

It was like watching a zergling rush of dragons, except those dragons are ultralisks, and you are an unfortunate pending casualty...


In short. IT. WAS. AWESOME! :3

the Croupade had Spawn Camping dragons, made me laugh just watching the chat getting spammed with "<name> has fainted."

This was my first open server and I enjoyed every second of it! Thank you so much LoE team  :D it was awesome!

The server was very very fun.  I just wish the Dragon attack didn't happen in the last hour.. It kept me frozen in Cantermore for the entire hour when I was trying to show my friend Cloudopolis.  ;-;

Guess it's another signal to get a better computer, though.  I had a grand time, just like last time; and was able to make a couple new friends. :3

Note:  I saw Mizuki faint at least three times on Levade to the Dragon Apocalypse.  I will remember it forever.  Muahaha.


Edit:  Something I remembered to ask... Why does the Mezair server never work?  It always says "Game access too low" or something whenever I tried entering it.

So does anyone know when the servers will be open again?  Also what exactly do you do on this? :]

There is no solid time that can be said when the servers will be open again -- they seem to open at certain times of conventions.  Just keep checking back on the forums semi-frequently, and you should get a solid answer eventually.

As per what you do in the game, it's similar to really any other MMORPG, just with ponies.  As per the last open server weekend, or OSW, you could talk with other ponies, embark on quests they NPCs give you, or fight enemies such as the Timber, Dragon, and Cocatrise.

I enjoyed it this time around, like how we had more creatures in it and specially how a dragon would pop up in the middle of Ponyville and had to battle it.

Also wondering when you will add the race track in Ponyville next time around. I saw every other place part from that.

The weekend was pretty good! The servers could have done with less crashing, though.

And the last hour, Attack on Cantermore. I led the charge from Ponydale in Levade and spent the next hour beating up dragons to the Attack on Titan theme. It was wonderful. I'll always remember it as a blaze of glory that ended the weekend.

I'm looking forward to the next weekend. Hopefully it comes soon!

This was quite fun. Lost a bet and had to play this, but you know what? I enjoyed every moment of it. Thanks for the open servers, hope to see them up again soon.

My second favorite part was seeing the end! I was playing as my OC Paint Palette. My FAVORITE part was roleplaying with Scootaloo. This Open Server Weekend was so fun!  :D Next time I will get a better screen recorder so I can record it all next time!

Many manly tears were shed over a pony game. Sleep well LoE, return to me swiftly.

I didn't play as much as I wanted, since I has strange login issues for a while (which, as it turned out, were easily resolved), but at least I saw more than the last OSW. I certainly enjoyed it, although I didn't exactly do many quests and could have interacted more with others. The pony singularity (which I were a part of) in front of Sugarcube Corner on Croupade was certainly glorious.

The Pone Singularity was the best thing xD

Thank you to the developers, mods, and anypony else that made this game possible!! And thank you to all of the players on the servers, especially those who built that Pegasus tower in Ponydale!   :3

Well that was kinda bunk... I registered but it never let me in.  When I clicked log in, it just stayed on the login screentrying to log in... Very disappointed. >:O

Hey, you know that button called tab? It switches to using your mouse for camera controls! I believe you need to hold it down to do so unless you used custom keybindings to set it to a toggle.

From where I sit, looking down on the fillies, between Nightmare and Suprise, with my old friend Cheddar losing his mind just over there, I can't help but feel a sense of detachment. Perhaps this is just my way of losing it, pretending it all isn't happening. When the attack began, I was in my cafe wondering where all my early morning customers where when a dragon landed next to me. I fled and... I don't really remember. When I found my head, I decided to make my way to the academy, hoping the sheer number of guards and magic adepts would protect me. I made it to this tower, where others eventually followed. Some I've seen in my cafe. Most I've never seen before. I know few of their names however. That seems to me the saddest part...

I may survive yet. The dragons don't seem interested in the academy itself, and Nightmare Moon seems so relaxed. Even if she didn't cause this, it's clear she knows something I don't. And from up here... it almost seems beautiful. I've passed out some coffee, I always have a fresh brewed theroms or two in my saddle bags. Just in case. It's like watching a movie.

But in case it is real, the true end of Croupade, I write this. For whoever finds this... We were here. We loved, we laughed, we argued, we fought. Were we good? Evil? Great or monsterous? I don't know. I may be something of an amature philosopher, but that's for you, whoever pony finds this to decide. I simply want to be remembered, no matter how good or badly. I want Cheddar's wacky humor to be remembered, Surprise's ever cheerful attitude, those fillies down there who despite their age were willing to fight for their homes and friends, who remained optimistic about their futures even as the world crashed down around their ears. Even Nova's insane scientific experiments to create something called cybernetics... I should've heard him out on it at least once.

Don't let us be forgotten.

Playing Legends of Equestria was very fun and awesome cannot wait for when the next severs to open for us all :D

It was actually pretty fun. I kind of wish I did do a livestream of me playing it since the forums were working really well this time.

Anyway... I now know how to get to the Castle in Everfree/Evershade Forest!! Because I took part in a tour that showed me how.

The real test... is if I can remember how to get there for the next open server event. If there is one that is...

Man, that was such an awesome weekend! I absolutley loved the party in Sugarcane corner!

I will say I did not have a fun time.

Servers kept locking me out, and when I did get on, it was for thirty seconds before I timed out.  >:O

 :D This game was wonderful although, I did get timed out quite a few times....Oh well, I can't wait for the next OSW and also the release of the game!!!!!!!!! :)

All I got was the downloading screen, probally everyone with a mac experienced this, the creators should spend a little more time making sure people don't get glitched versions of the game.... I'm sure it was fun though!

It truly WAS awesome, and the Dragon fights were amazing too. To anyone who was there in Corbettee when we were all farming Dragons and sharing armor and money and stuff, I was Red Sun and it was awesome meeting you all and I hope to see you guys again real soon. Until then if you wanna say hi to me I usually play the game Team Fortress 2 on this server "Lunar Republic Gaming: Slender Fortress 2" (The I.P address for it is 198.12.122.131:27015) if you ever wanna say hi. Buy a PC with windows and you wont have problems

There was a thread up for a fix for this. I had a Mac and it was fine, it actually worked a lot better than people who played it on PCs, I had zero lag. All you had to do was check a box and delete a folder.

Whoever told you this was probably lying or just mistaken. Our most recent Open Server Weekend was April 18th-20th.

You'll just have to wait 'til next time. I'm really sorry :(

Well, I'm sorry, but not everyone can recognise the stark differences between Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters. There's not actually that big a difference between Chinese and Japanese.  Korean's pretty well definable, but the only reason I knew that was Chinese was because I actually speak Japanese as well as English.  And honestly, I don't feel it's necessary for you to bash non-English languages, just because someone else knew the difference.  Besides, if someone were to fluently speak Chinese, that would probably mean that they just might live in China -- meaning that the Google engine is different there.  I know the method to get to Google Translate through Japanese Google engines is different than that of English ones; not to mention that nowhere on LoE does it really even say that 87% of the players will speak fluent English. :|

Did you notice that the time between the open server events have been getting shorter?
Time between 1st and 2nd: 9 months
Time between 2nd and 3rd: 5 months
Time between 3rd and 4th: 3 months
We should expect another one soon!

I was not even aware of the first two open server events; however, it is nice to see that the time between each event is decreasing.  But I still need time to recover from the last open server event.  My mind... it hurt-ses.   X3

My friend and I had a lot of fun playing. Can't wait until their open again! ^-^ :]

Well, seeing that the time between each open server weekend has been decreasing, it's only a matter of time and patience before they open again  ^-^

I hope it will open back up soon, me and my friend would really like to try out this game... I might be a little too old for my little pony, but who cares XD :)

I'm not sure if you're aware, but we have barely even made Legends of Equestria so far. It's nowhere close to being finished. As such, we are not ready to have the servers open full time. We opened them for only a weekend, to have fans help us test the servers and test for bugs. We made it clear that it was only going to be for that weekend.

My best advice is to stick around and keep an eye out for news of another open server weekend. We're not sure when we will do another one, but odds are, we likely will.

So, I don't know if anyone remembers, but when the servers were open last time to the public for that weekend, I wasn't able to play the game and I was the only one with the kind of problem, the only admin who was on at that time couldn't figure it out either. But I think I discovered why.

A bit after I downloaded the game, my computer started acting a bit funny. I thought it was just being fickle, but then it started getting worse. I did a scan and my computer said it was fine, when clearly it wasn't, and this annoying update Java thing kept popping up to get me to download a bunch of things. I didn't realize it was fake until it was too late. I ended up spending a week and a half trying to get rid of the viruses on my laptop without doing a factory reset, but then I got stuck on two that said they were open in another program. I tried downloading another spyware scanner, but that screwed up my computer even worse, making it so I couldn't do anything as soon as I logged in. It stayed like that for a few days before I finally figured out a way to bypass it, and delete it from my computer. Then I fiddled around a bit more and finally got rid of one of the virus files, but the other was still being stubborn. So I tried searching my computer for the thing it said it was open in, and the only result that came up was the file I downloaded for playing this game. As soon as I got rid of that file, I was able to delete the virus, so I am fairly certain that is where it came from.

I just wanted to bring that to your attention, because I don't want other people going through that same headache, though I'm sure you don't know how that could have happened either.

Question I have for you is-- did you download the 64-bit version or the 32-bit version?

Hmm, I'm not quite sure where that virus would have come from assuming you downloaded the game through the links the team had up at the time, since those files would have been clean, but hopefully that was what it was and you'll be able to play next time the servers open.

We are an MMORPG. The MMO in MMORPG stands for "Massively Multiplayer Online." That being said, our game is not designed to work "offline" and cannot work without a server to connect to. It'd be a huge undertaking to make the game able to function without a server, all just to make the wait time easier to cope with. Thing is, the time it'd take to do that would just make you wait way longer anyway. Sorry, but it's just not going to happen >.<

I could be wrong, but I think that the enemies are controlled by the server, not the game. That's one of the reasons making an offline version would be so much work. There are parts of the game that are controlled by our servers.

I could be wrong, but I think that the enemies are controlled by the server, not the game. That's one of the reasons making an offline version would be so much work. There are parts of the game that are controlled by our servers.

The NPCs, Stamina Bar, Health, etc. are controlled by the server. (I do minor coding, and I haven't deleted the Babscon folder yet)

The 1st three tests I was a part of were in Sep.2012, July 2013, and Jan. 2014(I didnt get to do much in April's)

I don't mind the wait at all. I ran into a lot of error codes on my first go at that game and couldn't really play it.   >.<

If the servers are closed (as the title of this thread mentions), then the game is also closed to the public. You are unable to play, so updating is pointless. Check our main website or forum news boards frequently to see if/when we're having our next open server weekend.

One of these days we'll find a server that does't crash.  :P

 I didnt even know about this game and when i found out servers were closed D': :'( i just started playing and i have studies so i rarely log in :(

I literally found out about this the day after it closed!  >A< when will it be open again?...

We don't know when the next stress test weekend is yet.  They'll announce any upcoming events in the news section when they are planned to occur.  Just keep checking in that section occasionally for updates and events.

hi i found the name for this game off one of my youtube ppl i subscribe about, so i went looking (cause big fan of mlp from gen 1 to recent) so i signed up to download the game. and come to find out that the servers are closed? does anyone know when the servers are suppose to be up and running? because would love to see bout having my kid watch/help play the game if it is good as it seems

The game is still being developed, and the developers need the servers to build the game.  Once in a while they have open servers to let the public test the game and help test bugs and features, but that's the only accessibility we have to the game at this stage.

I HOPE they open it for the whole summer, cuz we have no school then :] that is my dreammm :D :P

Unfortunately, the game hasn't been built up enough for us to have the servers open for the whole summer, and although our servers are much stronger now, they still need to be monitored while they're open, as they still have a few problems with large amounts of people on them.

Plus, right now, it's easier for us to work on the game with the servers closed rather than open. There's also the fact that we haven't yet put in a way for people to update their client without just downloading an entire new client, but that's because there isn't really a reason to yet. So, if we kept the game open for the entire summer, that's three months where little to no progress would be made on the game.

Well, they opened the servers twice already this year.  It may seem like a long time but they will open again eventually, be patient :)
