Thanks for the drawing, Tiger.

I love to fly around and fix things with my hammer.

The Wandering Magus

ponies are the reason for everything.  including this.

Probably a really silly question: is Ponyville the only area we'll be able to explore? Or can we visit the areas seen in the latest update video (and possibly more)?
If I'm not here, I'm most likely on Pokémon Shuffle's Miiverse community.

I assume since it's pre-alpha we can still goto the areas the team went to as long as the gates are still there. But I'm not sure

The Wandering Magus

depends on how hardy they think their servers are.

I wonder if the server makes use of multicast, probably.  It would reduce the amount of data that is sent out-bound from the server by a lot.  that being said, it really boils down to how much data is sent to the server at a time.

and how much strain is put on the servers the first day.

So... a random concern has befallen me.

The game, .exe, whatever it's going to be is safe right?

By that I mean it doesn't have any viruses, malware, spyware, etc?

If you download it straight from the site there shouldn't be any problems

That's what I was planning on doing. As long as the site isn't down or something like that. I was just trying to make sure.

Better safe then sorry right?

Of course.  If there was any issues your antivirus(I assume you have one) would see an issue anyways.

Erm, well, then again, avast seems to think my VB program is a virus and I had to add an exception to get it out of the "sandbox".  I Lol'd, I think i'd know if my own program was a virus....

ooh, off topic, I re-installed windows XP on my "laptop"
Spoiler: Remember my Laptop? • show

So I should be able to install VB on it and continue programming!(Considering for whatever reason VB's dll files aren't compatible with Windows 7...)

VB? Um... what's that?

Also... I have Avast too. But I also have SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes, and Comodo Firewall for additional protection. This is because I've had too many issues in the past with getting viruses.

I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best...

Heh, I only use avast. It blocks basically everything. I like to count cookies as spyware so I use CCleaner constantly.
Starting anew. I am a musician. My past here means nothing.
