Original Characters / Pyro and friends

Just where I'll dump my OCs. A note: These take place in a "darker"/more realistic Equestria. This does include things you probably won't see in the show, like depression or neglect, but not to grimdark extremes. Also, I love critiques and opinions on my OCs, so don't be afraid to give suggestions!

Pyro

Birth name: ??? [Abandoned her name after running away, only told her lover it]

Race: Unicorn

Age: 23

Cutie Mark: A flame

Appearance: Cream fur, chocolate eyes and mane, bangs dyed rainbow. Wears an orange collar. Always has a sad look in her eyes

Relationship status: Dating Riptide

Pets: Two white cats named Marie and Castiel

Personality: She puts on a kind but formal persona when in public, but can be playfully crude with friends. When alone with Riptide, she doesn't hold anything back, switching between playful and loving, to depressed and scared

Guiding element: Generosity

Bio: Born in the Frozen North, from the age of six, Pyro had to be an adult after a crisis had thrown her younger brother into hospitals for eight years, travelling around Equestria. She learned to be mature, hold back any pain of her own, and be a loner, since having friends was impossible. By the time she was fourteen, she became extremely reclusive, finding solace only in her cats and drawing, attempting to earn a cutie mark in either animal care or art. She often fought with her mother, falling into the pits of depression. When she was seventeen, a final fight with her mother broke her. She locked herself in her room, packing her bags and collaring her cats. She cut her mane so it would be harder to recognize her, and early morning, she pushed the screen out of her window, and jumped out, taking her pets with her. Before hitting the ground, she enveloped herself in magic to cushion the fall, noticing it changing from light brown to an almost fire-like glow. Although she hadn't noticed it until much later, she had earned her cutie mark, an orange flame, standing for the fire that drives somepony to follow their instinct and passion.

Pyro spent the night running, only slowing when she got tired. By the time it was midday, she had found herself in the city of Seaddle. She sat down on a bench to rest her tired hooves, sitting beside a silver pegasus named Riptide. Against her better judgement, she let him treat her to lunch, and even went home with him when he offered her a bed. By a stroke of luck, he didn't hurt her, and their relationship quickly blossomed. First she was quiet and reserved around him, not wanting to lose the only place she had to stay, but as he treated her kindly, she became more comfortable. He became her source of comfort, and she, his. They lived in Seaddle while Pyro attended art school, learning to animate. Afterwards, they moved to Ponyville for a fresh start. Pyro still fears her past will catch up to her, but trusts in Riptide to stay with her and protect her, which he promised.


Future: Pyro will grow to become an exquisite animator, loving her job. Riptide becomes an MMA star likes he wants. They adopt two orphaned fillies, Lemon Sweets and Basset, who, like Pyro, had ran away from home. Later, Pyro and Riptide get married and have a foal of their own, a colt named Tumon.

I don't get the appeal of Sonata. When I watched RR, I didn't find her charming or cute, I was just wondering how she's smart enough to walk and breathe at the same time.

It won't stop snowing!  I fell twice this morning on the ice and i was 35 minutes late for work because my alarms didn't go off and it took 30 minutes to drive 7 minutes to work because the plows weren't going

Also in spite of the storm for some reason my phone is running an LTE speed connection. .... usually i don't even get service back here!

I'll trade you. I get the snow, you get the sunny tropical island. Fair?

Watched Rainbow Rocks. Despite the fact I hated the first Equestria Girls, this one was okay!

I know, right?! I just wish it was a little longer. The Dazzlings and Twilight had just shown up, and the battle of the bands started the very next day?? *Sigh* But yeah, it was cooler than the first movie.

I love Vinyl's car! I want one!

When my mom blames me for things. She is notorious for shifting blame to someone else, so I am incapable of knowing if something is truly my fault anymore. It's enough to drive a person insane.

Also, if someone can help me, I'm having a problem on Steam where I can't log in. It tells me that it can't connect to the servers. I've tried four different wifi hotspots and two different computers. The website works fine, but the app doesn't. I've tried multiple solutions, none works.

For some time now I have been filled with a certain type of rage. Now I know I've addressed this issue in shorter posts but why not give the full detailing right

I despise the internet, the concept of travel and the distances they create. Now the internet is a wonderful platform that has brought a lot of us together, its helped me make some of the greatest friends I've ever had. It introduced me to the community that holds strong through the hardest of times.

But alas that comes with a curse for the dumb thing that annoys me as well as the cause of my rage is the matter of not being able to do anything for my friends, having to sit back on the other end of this string of text or over a microphone that barely picks up my voice. When I know my friends are hurting their lives are tough and they would love the comfort of someone to go there and talk to them in person, heck break my golden rule and even give them a hug, but I can't and that solitary fact angers me so much because everything goes wrong in the hours that I am asleep or at work. Only being able to hear the aftermath of the events and give basic comfort.

I don't like not being able to help anyone, all I can ever do is just be that voice who gives the end support than be the one who can be there during their times of need.

This. I feel like I'll go insane every time my special somepony says he's having a tough time with some aspect of his life, and I can't be there to give him a hug or do anything to help.

When people insist that Texas is the biggest state. Anyone who's ever even been in the same room as a world map knows Alaska is the biggest. It's like half the size of the continental US.

I swear this thought literally just occurred to me for the very first time in over 15 years: How the heck do Spongebob and Squidward afford their own houses working at the Krusty Krab?

I dunno about Squidward, but apparently, Spongebob's house is literally a pineapple that grew out of the ground.
Though, it didn't grow the way a real pineapple did, but that can be forgiven since the leaves on top make people think the top is where the stem is, when it's really the bottom.

Seeing people assume the leaves are the stem drives me insane. Also that coconuts are round, brown nuts when they are on the tree. Just a pet peeve after living on a tropical island.

Coconuts are green, right? And people generally take that green outer... "shell" peel whatever off and sell coconuts in their brown form.

When a website acts as my safe place where I can freely talk about and mention things that I wouldn't mention in front of my parents, and then one of my parents decides to join that website, thus eliminating the safety! And I can't just say "Whoa, no. Don't. At least don't Follow me on there." Because then they'll question why or feel offended or both.

The brown is actually older coconuts! I hate coconuts anyway, but the meat is usually from the young green/yellow ones that are shaped like oversized footballs.
