The episode just feels cringey and kind of forced. Though even as a kid I found the "don't let x know y is here" plot line to be ridiculous and can't recall a usage I've ever enjoyed watching.

It had a few good moments and nice to see Ember and Thorax show up again but I'd have to rank it as worst this season.

Yay for forums. And they look all pretty now. :D

Yaaay  :D

Be interesting to see what's been added and fixed up. Though really I'll just be happy to run around as an adorable technicolor pony again.  lol

I just want to search for bugs, try to break the game, write reports, you know, that's the sort of thing I really enjoy.

I'm kind of the same. I look forward to just playing the game once it's fully released but I do find testing, bug-hunting and being able to give input during development of something fun as well.

Aww, did not get in apparently. :c  Disappointing but not entirely surprising given the qualifications of some other applicants.

Well will give it a shot next time or worst case just wait with everyone else for the full release.  ^-^

Ahh I see. I can understand the busy-ness. I think with a qualification like that you definitely would be a great help for the team. Hehe for sure I would love to help the team but got nothing to provide in any position x3 but definitely game testing is my strongest advantage and hope I can finally be a help for the team.

I'm kind of in the same boat. Game/character design nor writing are a strength for me. Programming is more my thing but I know nothing of Unity and only recently begun dabbling in C# so not much use in that regard either. Testing and analyzing games and systems I can do fairly well though, so it's a way to contribute. I'd really love to get in this round but not a big tragic thing for me if I don't.

I was talking about no man's sky, personally I think LOE seems decently optimized, though it can't really be that demanding due to what it is.

I lost track of conversation apparently.   :P

Can't add input about No Man's Sky, only got it for PS4.

Tested it on the following systems and it ran like trash on all of them.

i7 4790, R9 290X, 24GB RAM
5700HQ, GTX 980M, 32GB RAM
6700HQ, GTX 960M, 32GB RAM

The game is terribly optimised.

i5 3570, GTX 760, 32GB RAM

It obviously isn't as optimized as it could be but I don't really have significant problems outside of the SCC dance parties. Complex areas like parts of Cantermore can be a bit laggy or a dozen spells being cast at once but otherwise it runs well for me.

I know, everyone's getting excited and impatient. Myself included. But, I'll be honest that I know that I didn't make it. I'll be surprised tbh if I did considering HOW many people applied cause they could only grant access to a handful like say.. over 100 maybe? or more. Who knows what the server capacity is without it going crazy.

From previous OSEs, the capacity is a couple hundred at least. And remember this isn't just a brief weekend, the server will be up indefinitely so short of calling for a stress test you would normally not have a lot of players on at once.

Why not play the game for fun AND look for bugs at the same time?  :P

This is basically what most of it will be, though somewhat broader than looking for bugs specifically. The devs can do basic testing of a feature or mechanic themselves; what they need beyond that is understanding what an "ordinary" player's experience is and how that can be improved. Not to mention that some bugs only pop up in very unusual circumstances or as part of a larger interaction of game mechanics. Our role actually would be to play the game but at the same time analyzing what works well and what doesn't then giving feedback and suggestions to the dev team. And some of the usual bug-hunting of course, which can be entertaining not to mention some bugs are fun in and of themselves.  ovO

Welp, that's in now. Spent a while thinking actually, I don't fill out this sort of thing too often.  X3

So many styles.  O: I never thought LoE would have this many to choose from.

Congrats to all the winners and thanks to everyone who participated, your efforts will be appreciated by ponies for years to come. :D
