Hey, everyone. I'm sure you remember me, and tons of the other leaders from the former project we worked on.
As more of you are finding this site, I'm sure you would like to know what happened.
Some have already stated that RainDrop's side of the story, as posted on the Equestria Online homepage, is quite biased.
While you guys get used to the new forums (still under construction, and we may have a few problems with the host at the moment), be rest assured that SweBow or perhaps all of us will give you our side of the story.
We wish no ill-will to what happens over at Equestria Online, but almost all the team leaders (with the exclusion of RainDrop) and many - if not all - the project's dedicated and talented staff, are at home with Legends of Equestria as a new project.
I hope you understand that a majority of what changed was simply the name of the project and a teeny-tiny bit of leadership.
Also, new smilies coming soon, these are awful huh? :P
If any teamleaders have a problem with this post, feel free to remove or edit it.
Woo Hoo! Excited for the future of this game.
But I hope that everything works out, and that relationships will not be destroyed. But like I already said, and I think I speak on befalf of the fans...we trust you guys and believe that you make make the best choices to further the game.

Honestly speaking, I did not see this coming. It's strange to think the bulk of the staff from the old group left, and started this new one. But, it's good to see that the project wasn't all together abandoned. Can't wait to see what will become of this change.

I'm happy to see at least one rendition of a pony MMO on track. Before I found LoE out of luck, I was quite disappointed to see EQO hit such a pitfall. I am a very happy pony to see that its creation didn't simply stop.
While I can't say much. I can say that during the entire situation many of us were still hard at work with the project, before the name Legends of Equestria popped up. So, it didn't simply just stop dead in it's tracks.
Hopefully this hasn't slowed down production too much, keep up all the hard work guys, I'm sure you all did what was best and we support you all the way
I can't wait until we can get back to normal posting again. The site is very pretty, and it seems a tad more professional than the old site. I kind of saw this coming when the site was down for more than a few hours, but I've seen something nigh identical (twice) on forums I used to moderate, though our staff base was much smaller relative to the amount of users (about 1:1100).
Perhaps you could set it so that posts in the game threads do not add to post count. I've seen this before so that new members may get a better idea of who makes the most productive posts on the forum and may then get a better idea of which members to direct non-administrative queries to. This was, however, on a more formal forum where it was more important to see who was in-the-know, but it may be something to bear in mind. That way those who weigh in on discussions about the game, the show, and the roleplaying that may well roll over into the finished game will be shown to be more productive. It also discourages posting for the sole reason to increase post count, which seemed quite popular on the old forum.
The site logo might also be slightly in the way (especially I imagine if one is using a phone).

First, I'd like to say thank you. We've been trying to be as professional as we can with everything we've done thus far. Also, in regards to the game thread, we'll most likely be doing that right off the bat this time, rather than letting it divulge into what happened on the old forums. Frankly, I believe we'll have a great - third - start up with these fresh forums and website.

At that time I wasn't really a forum-goer until the new forums kicked up, though I believe we were having problems with the hosting server and the upper leaders of the development team decided to move to a more user-friendly forum that wasn't crashing or whatever was happening. Of course, don't quote me on this, considering I really don't remember why we switched from the very first forums.

Smilies are most likely coming. Last I heard, Anya was working on them earlier, I think she took a break for awhile due to school and/or needed sleep. So stay tuned.

I would like to thank everypony for their continued support and understand the confusion and worry that most have. The forum mods and admins are the same it will have the old home feel but a fresh coat of paint and a minor renovation.

I'm not gonna touch on any feelings that this "split" has brought up, but I have to ask. What elements did you guys take with you from EqO to LoE? What will be familiar from that project and what will change/be new as a result of this?

It definately took me by surprise when I saw the news about EO and so much of the team leaving. I have only heard RainDrop's side of the story, and it does sound as though he was in the right. I will be keeping a watch on things around here, but I am probably going to stick by RainDrop simply because I have had some issues of my own with SweBow.

Both sides are biased, but it's impossible not to be. At least your side of the story game more detail about what happened. I can sympathize with why you guys made your decision. I'm very happy that the project is still going, and we still have the same members.

this site looks more professional and with the number of workers you have you will probably finish your game quicker . i also want to ask did you guys get to take your work with you or did eo keep it, if so that is crap . if you guys have to start from scratch i would suggest a bit of a graphics boost nothing fancy just a bit more improved . i wish you the best. go team loe :3

Once the suggestions board for the game is up, I'll try to remember what all I suggested and post it up. Or did you guys write down or save suggestions? I'm pretty sure you must have saved what was in the Accepted, and perhaps the Maybe, board.

From what I've heard, our current host is just temporary so I would expect something like this and any other bugs to appear from time-to-time, though hopefully everything will fix itself later on.
It's sad that the old group had to split up, but I know how the founder felt, when you start something, and it grows, it can be hard to let someone else keep control. However, saying that, for the good of all the ponies around, he could've let the person become the new leader, and him co-founder or something. I dunno, what's done is done, and as previously mentioned, we trust you to make the best decision. Also, HATS! *-*
Unfortunately, i wont take sides with EO, or LoE. I personally hope that this reverts to the original concept idea. I am glad that it is continuing all the same, and that people will start crediting RainDrop for coming up with this in the first place. In my opinion, Way to go LoE. In my other opinion, bad thing to do. work things out. get the team back together, and make the real EO. I dont care which one i play, as long as RainDrop is given credit for the original.

Glad I've finally found this, I don't check Equestria Daily at all and I was thinking that this project might be lost for sure since there's no indication of where everyone went back on the Equestria Online page.

As a programmer, I can attest to how infuriatingly difficult it is to restart work on a project from which you've just lose 6 months worth of assets/scripts. It's just too bleak to redo all that old work; we all know he can't finish EO.
So he could've been on this team right now, he could've given up his assets to y'all in exchange for his rightful accreditation [without even continuing to work on the team; the Code of Conduct specified that all work you do is YOURS]. Unfortunately, he decided he'd rather have his game [EO] never ever release and fade into obscurity. In that case, it's a lot of hard work for nothing.
Anyway, enough negativity from me. From my perspective, it looks like he did indeed make a bad decision. However, we've all been in an emotional place that's impeded our greater judgement in our lives; it's not impossible to understand
where he was coming from, however childish it may be.
