Fun fact for those who didn't pay attention (like I did): he really was in the show O:

That was absolutely adorable! I didn't even notice that it was him in that scene, until now.

I had to go back and check after this got released. He showed pretty early in the song.

Gradius III came to mind, the one and only arcade game that I've played that does not allow continues.

Nonetheless let's hope Sweetie Belle doesn't do the same thing again...

Oh yea... Jan actually based buttons design on that ep. I thought it was cool that he made this.

I don't think this truly was a deleted scene from the show. JanAnimations probably took the short appearance of him from the actual episode and made it as if it was a deleted scene. Keep in Mind that during the episode, he appeared during the song when the CMC were looking for the "special somepony" for Big Mac. Sweetie Belle called Button "too young".

Sadly, Hasbro as sensitive and paranoid as they are had to send a letter to JanAnimations demanding the removal of the animations he made of Button Mash. The only one he was eventually able to keep was the one that was a Minecraft parody with Button and Sweetie in it. Who knows if the other videos ever return or if Jan still has a copy somewhere on his computer.

Bro1997, it's clearly stated that it's a fanimation and not an actual deleted scene...

I think the description of the video said that too before it got removed.

A link to my tumblr above!
Tiger's OC page. Should re-do it...

Really, I don't remember seeing that when I read the description, but it would make a whole lot of sense. I mean, it was perfectly animated and I couldn't imagine a deleted scene being this. Especially during a song.
