Spoiler
While the ending was a tear-jerker, I honestly felt like the author filled gaps rather amateurishly. I mean, he goes from not having two pennies to rub together to buying a big new house in the countryside. That was summed up as him 'getting lucky at a casino'....obviously gambling with his grocery money like all responsible parents do during a financial struggle.

Also, was there any reason other than for the pure sake of a tear-jerker that he couldn't have gone with Dash? The man had no family and no friends; Dash was his whole life for 15 years. The ponies all just said 'Thanks for raising our friend as your own for 15 solid years, now screw off.' leaving him with nothing in a matter of 10 minutes...

Edit: Since when is scr-ape a bad word?

That's actually something I never thought about... What if he had gone with her? O.O That seems like it'd be an easy way to turn a sad story to a happy one. X3 The main six should've offered him the option of going with.. :c That'd be a goo way to return the favor after everything he did for Dashie..
