Which villian would you like to see return?

The show has already catered to the older fans on many occasions.  Unless you mean in the aspect that they begin writing it strictly for older people and leaving out the elements for children? This won't actually stop children from watching it though. Heck, I grew up on Ren and Stimpy, Beavis and Butthead and other shows of that nature.

However, I do want the show to maintain its family viewing quality. If it swings to being of more mature content, it might be easier to tell people that I'm a fan of the show, but harder to believe that the characters go from being super happy-friendly to whatever they might have to become in order to please older crowds.

The show is good because that's just what it is; an innocent show for all ages. Going full grimdark will alienate a lot of fans and, as a result, begin the death of the show.

Besides, grimdark is not for a My Little Pony setting. That's what terrible fanfics are for.

Now, returning to the original topic of the thread: I would like to see the return of Flim and Flam, perhaps having gained success in another town.

Trixie could want revenge or something.
Discord could actually be a useful ally.
Chrysalis, she's currently just a Disney thing, I'd like her to be more.

I'd personally vote for Discord, he was an interesting character. Although, I realize Trixie wasn't a villain, but I'd like to see her come back for an episode. The reactions would be interesting if both characters returned though.

John de Lancie (voice of Discord) has confirmed that he voiced another MLP episode. Technically that's not a confirmation that he voiced Discord again, but it seems very likely there'll at least be another mention of him if the voice actor went back.

Yeah, but he also said at a panel that he'll be known as Q, Discord, and now someone else. That means that whoever he voices is not going to be Discord, but a new character.
