The show is not what a lot of fans could think it is. No. It is not a reality show in a fantasy universe where we follow the ponies on various adventurers. It is in fact a well crafted presentation of the efforts of writers, musicians, voice actors and artists who have created a very imaginative script and made it into some very good entertainment.  >:O

Back in the days of Radio and TV where you have the likes of Jack Benny and Bob Hope, what they did was carefully crafted by the show writers. Before these shows you had the likes of Charlie Chaplin,  W. C. Fields, the Marx Brothers. Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, and Buster Keaton. This level of humor has returned in MLP.  You can see examples such as when Pinkie does a spit-take, pausing the scene to take the necessary drink.  O:  There are also visual puns and really adult situations just for us, way over the heads of the kids.  :] It would be interesting to compile a list of these gems. They are truly creative.
