Original Characters / Do "YOU" need help developing a character?

hay everyone,
i have decided its time to churn my creativity to good use while i am unable to update my story blog. if you have had questions and wonders about developing a character (appearance, ability, personality, or history) here would be a good place to ask!
all you have to do is post as much info as you can that would wish for critique, comment, or suggestions on your character in the makings. now i know some may be thinking "Well that's the Original characters form is all about...we don't need a topic like this" and i say yes you do, because their is a difference in this specific topic and the massive form filled with all kinds of topics.
that is reliability, because instead of posting your own topic you can make a post about your character here, and who do you know for sure will read and comment about your character? that would be ME, i will fully help you out pulling as much resource (heck ill even draw the ideas up as needed) as i can to help you develop a character that you will be happy with for your RP, drawing, and writing needs (and because its just cool to have an awesome OC)
i know it may seam strange why im doing this but its because i have already developed my characters over the past couple of years and the ones i have i am more than happy with so dont think ill be stealing anyone's ideas i am very content with what i have. but if you are still afraid of your oc being stolen by some one ells (tho i assure you the mods of LOE have very good supervision and ensure fairness to everyone) you can message me personally and we can work things out from there.
and of course im not the only one that can put their input in on this form, it can be anyone who would like to share an idea to help the development because 3 heads are better than 2... or 1... or whatever so there ya go. i can go on but i wont want to be getting texts like "didn't read LOL"

Original Characters / Need Help Developing Character (OC) for 10 souls ask blog: some top secret stuff

i have a good general idea of how i want this character to be but i need some help to know what depth of the character will be interesting
this is "Shadow" in the beginning, he and a group of "friends" were thrown into the ponyverse and transformed into what they are now, he was separated from them and now tries to find them again because "it is his duty to protect them"
Ability:
he starts as an earth pony, but changes because their is something about him, he cannot die. well he can die, but not in a way he considers dying, he just loses his physical form and is nothing but a flying spirit. The only way he can get a new body is if he finds a host that has passed away, then the body shapes to his image. However is their is still life in a body he can only hop in and out as he pleases and be a continence, only able to control the body if it is asleep or knocked out (only temporarily. (note this dose not mean his is going god mode or anything, their are a lot of issues that can and will occur if he dose not have a physical body and can lose his body if to severely damaged.
History:
The reason he has this ability is because he was a spirit guardian in his world, literally created for the purpose to protect something, and he failed. So, he has to get it back and served as a continence in the head of one of the main characters as their guide, and shows the path needed to be taken to get what was lost and correct the wrong in the world.
Personality:
Living for literally millions of years as a spirit he has seen the history and the world unfold since the beginning of life, and all that time, he grew a vast knowledge of the world and what it held. The only thing that never improved was his attitude, being a spirit all his life he had never experienced the living body's emotion not happiness, not sadness, not even anger. it leaves him in a state where he is just brutally honest about everything good and bad (mostly bad) along with not caring what people thought because "your saying that because your filled with your strange emotions again"
its only when he gets a physical body that he starts to experience these emotions. That's where you first meet Shadow, when he is alone, with a new body, thrown into a word that he has never seen before, and for once, knows absolutely nothing about it. all he knows is now he hast to find his friends and set the next plan of action, because he dose not like to be without a plan
so there you go please let me know what you think, is good and bad i just wanna know and maybe a suggestion to make a change be a suggestion to make a change
